Weed or Cigarettes? Which would you rather have?
pacovl46 replied to RSD1's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
Why is this even a question when the answer is sooooo obvious? All cigarettes do is cost you money, f.ck up your health and make tou smell of cigarette stench. Even if you don't get the cancer you will definitely get emphysema, and if you don't stop in time this will severely affect your life later down the road. Weed gets you high and you can turn it into edibles, which will entirely circumvent the issues accossiated with smoking. Having said that, you could get nicotine gums as well, but they don't give you the nice high you get from weed. -
I said their God is money because the article is about the Chinese specifically! It's not about western countries or companies, and their God IS money and power, whether you accept that or not doesn't change the fact! If this article was about pharmaceutical companies I would've said the exact same thing! Like the company that makes HIV meds and Brazil asked for a discount and they said no, despite the fact that they had recouped their investment in developing this drug a thousand times over already. So then Brazil said, well, we either get it for a better price or we'll clone it and they still said no. So now Brazil clones the meds legally and the greedy Pharma company can suck it! Kudos to Brazil!

Weed or Cigarettes? Which would you rather have?

Then you did it the wrong way and I don't mean this as a diss, but rather as a matter of fact. My guess is you used sheer will power? Alan Carr's book made it very easy for me. Although, it was easy in hindsight, but going through it was nowhere nearly as bad as I made it out to be in my head beforehand. The most difficult part for me was to set a point in time and stick with it the few times I tried it before I've read Carr's book. -
British tourist busted in Patong for cocaine possession
pacovl46 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Let me clarify, it's not a cop selling it to you, it's civilians that earn their money by working with the cops. I've seen it happen several times on Khao San Road and I've been warned about that specific guy by several people as well. He sells them some weed and 50 meters down the road they get busted by the cops. He approached me once as I was passing by and asked me, if I wanted some. -

British tourist busted in Patong for cocaine possession

It's a legal term. One could have a legitimate reason why one is carrying it with them. Although, it's usually occupational and doesn't apply to average Joe. -

Yeah, it's probably the latter one. They usually approach you and ask if you want some, and if you do, they'll sell it to you and then make the call and the cops swoop in. It's called entrapment in other countries, but here it seems to ne legal to do that to someone. -

Pitbull mauls monk to death in gruesome Nonthaburi temple attack
pacovl46 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Tell me you know nothing about pitbulls without telling me. Initially they were bred to fight dogs, BUT any fighting dog who attacked a human was banned for life and therefore useless to the owner and they got rid of them. If you get a pit bull from a reputable breeder they will love humans. Having said that, obviously it's a powerful breed and you have to raise them right and behave like a pack leader, which seems to me didn't happen with this one. Also, blanket bans are stupid! There's way more people who die every year due to drunk drivers, but I never hear anyone say let's ban alcohol. The solution is to introduce a keeper's license for all dog breeds, one has to aquire first before they're allowed to keep a dog. Therefore anyone potential keeper would have to prove first that they're capable of socializing, raising and training a dog the right way before they can get one. This would eliminate most of the attacks. -

Teen Gang Raid London Apple Store Amid Shopper Chaos

Doesn’t surprise me. Considering what certain agencies can do with phones these days. There’s a reason why batteries can’t be removed from phones anymore. Thanks for the info, though! I appreciate it! -

Chaos Unfolds: Knife-Wielding Thugs Clash in Crowded London Mall
pacovl46 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Well, I don't have to be a professional race car driver to be able to tell whether someone can drive either, and it's a well established fact that London has a problem. Now I'm not saying it's happening everywhere all the time, but it is happening! I don't understand why you get upset when people point that out! Also, it's not just the ghetto areas that have a problem. These people place scouts in the nice shopping areas that look specifically for people with nice watches on, so they can call in their scooter gang that will then take it off them and just because YOU don't see that everyday or never had it happen to you doesn't mean it's not happening at all. -

Never set foot in London, BUT as the article states, knife crime went up several hundred percent and there's tons of videos on youtube from watch channels that say that it's not a good idea to walk around in certain parts of London with a luxury watch on and the people who run these channels are from the UK. Also, it's also a well known fact that scooter gangs rob people on a daily basis and they steal bikes with angle grinders in broad daylight. There's also tons of videos on youtube showing exactly that! Are they all lying? -
Teen Gang Raid London Apple Store Amid Shopper Chaos

I'm not an expert on it, but in NYC they smashed them right outside the store when they discovered that they were bricks. I think the article in this forum even mentioned it that apple rendered them useless. What I don't know is whether the phones in the store had SIM cards in them. -

Get a fake Rolex and walk through London. Let me know how long it took for some scooter gang to show up and take it off your wrist at knife point...
