  1. I think you should spend some time in Issan and get to know the people here before you generalize so much !

I have met more bad girls in Bangkok than here, but some of my best female friends are in Bangkok.

Most Thai men want girls with money so they don't have to work for a living BUT Most Issan girls are farmers and come from poor backgrounds

whereas most city / Bangkok girls have good jobs and money in the bank

That is why Thai men want city girls

Oh oh..and now out comes the all (oops.."most") Thai men are lazy and dont want to work one. Im sorry to be heavy on the sarcasm, but really!

I don't know about not wanting to work but what about the ones that take off and leave the lady with the kids to provide for on her own.

  2. this strain is not more virulent, than the previous one, so no panic.

the best is to wait for the next wave and better vaccination. Those vaccines available now were not tested properly, to short and on to small population and in itself might pose more health problems, than getting sick (in some 70% cases there are no flu symptoms - but your body will build up resistence against future, more virulent flu).

you have to calculate risk - if you are working with sick and come accross of flu cases, you might consider a shot, for you own and their protection.

myself I got just some tamiflu, it's expired already, but I keep it in the freezer and will use it when symptoms are bad

And you would be spreading this information on what authority?

  3. Worth clarifying before people start criticizing Thai people that this was in the UK.

Of course, Why do you think most Thai drivers flee the scene? Not because they are afraid to stand up to the consequences but because they don't want to be killed by the mob.

Most fleers (?) from an accident scene are found at a temple or at home.

  4. Chiang Mai is the second biggest city in Thailand. I have problems with Chiang Mai. Korat is also a big city. I like Korat a bit more than Chiang Mia but not a lot more. There is about everything you need there but it is not my idea of a place to lve.

I didn't have a problem with CM until I found out Jimmy Carter was building his world famous houses there.

  5. 1. Works by air but only 15 days if by land. You can always change later and it allows free travel.

    2. Actually one trip to Vientiane to obtain a two entry free tourist visa would last almost six months with 30 day extensions at 1,900 baht each. 60+28 exit/return 60+30.

    3. Most schools do not offer a one year visa option - you leave/obtain a single entry for 90 days and then extend every 90 days.

Is the option for 2 entry tourist visas open to holders of US passports?

  6. Im not to sure where you are at the moment but if you are in your home country you will have far more look gettin a NON O based on marriage in your home country if thats where you are... im not to sure if they will issue a 12 monther at Laos but only 3 months but others will tell you for definate..

Have you thought of the extension of stay option you will be able to get that in Thailand providing you produce all teh documents they ask..its been covere many times on TV so do a search if your not familiar with it

I am in the middle east. (Not home)

I don't want a 12 month extension yet, I am waiting until I retire for that so I don't run into a problem with importing my belongings.

If 3 months is all I can get, so be it. I may just have to make another run.
