  1. There have been many posts about e-visas being issued when people are simply legally present in the applicable country. With several nearby countries recently joining in the scheme, Vietnam for instance, chances are if you can show you have entered legally (passport stamp) and are physically present at the time of application it will not be an issue.
  2. I arrived by land from Laos earlier this year, TM6 completed on entry. I lost/binned the departure section and left by air from BKK a few weeks later, same passport. Nothing was asked.
  3. To rent a condo all they will want is their money, they won't worry where it's coming from. You could easily pay direct to their account using Wise or similar until your local account is up and running. Yes you'll need to get the account sorted and funded within the first couple of weeks it you 90 day entry.
  4. Suspended. Some land borders still require them.
  5. In which case I wouldn't waste my time or certainly money on an agent chasing around for a bank account on your short holiday. Simply get a non-O in the UK when you get back. You can show money in a UK account for that. Then you'll get a 90 day entry in Q1, can easily open a bank account yourself (you will likely need to show some kind of rental contract for accommodation). You'll also avoid airline check-in questions about onward tickets.
  6. So it seems the answer to your question "? Is 100/hour suitable for part-time maid in CM?" is NO. But nevertheless it's good to know that paying a reasonable rate you got a good job done, let's hope it continues.
  7. Don't know where (country) you are coming from but if you will qualify for a non-O+extension "early next year" why not just get a non-O e-visa for your upcoming trip. That will make a lot of things much easier.
  8. Not if you pay the 200 extra, then they do everything for you.
  9. Not really, they do jobs the Thais don't want.
  10. Looks pretty good for 57. There's many worse than that down Soi 4.
  11. Nowhere can legally sell between 2 and 5pm. Nor between midnight and 11am. All supermarkets follow this rule.
  12. At 500 baht each they certainly ought to. 250 baht on Lazada for a perfectly serviceable item, USB chargeable, free delivery.
  13. Immigration is not involved with issuing e-visas. The local embassy is. I used a self-downloaded Kasikorn bank statement for my O-eVisa, no problems.
  14. Perhaps, or more likely tucked up in his own bed and 20,000 baht lighter.
  15. Provided you use the apps for all your banks it is very easy to enable/disable your cards. And change the limits on them. So unless you use a card every day turn them all off and just remember to enable them when needed. If you don't use the apps then this will be a real pain of course!
  16. Did a non O in the UK earlier this year. Very clear requirements and issued in 4 days.
  17. They are not my points they are Chonburi Sattahip offices. Take it up with them. (phone number is there)
