It's in my family's best interests to keep me healthy and strong that they don't end up spending too much time on me in later life ???? So far they are doing a good job ???? with a bit of assistance from myself in the fitness stakes of course???? -

Every time the wheels touched down at Heathrow, I knew it wouldn't be long before I was enjoying fish and chips, home cooked spag bol, Cumberland and Lincolnshire sausage, eat all you can chinese with my friends, visiting my family, and filling up the bank account again ???? -

Personally, I feel location comes second to the people around you ???? Thai people are relaxed, most of the time, my Thai family is are a little more intrusive than my Uk family, but then we all show consideration for others in different ways I am happy and comfortable in both environments I don't need to set one off against the other Wherever I hang my hat...... -

I guess it depends if you think a mind trained 'not to think too much' is a healthy mind However the environment created by such can give an overall relaxed appearance ????- 169 replies

Usual moaning about nothing, photos, take, email to local printer, pick up when photocopy passport and any other docs, sure retirement may well be less demanding but really fellas its just a case of showing up with the wife and a few docs As for the home visit I really can't see how someone dropping by for 10 minutes has such an alarming effect on some ????

Those of us who spent years in the pub culture will easily relate to being good times, and yes there is a certain invincibility and expectation that those good times continue to roll, and they can, but its not the easy task one considers when young ???? Those were the days, young and carefree, but adapting with age, having a flexible and brave approach to life, can ensure more similar good days follow, and one is not consigned to live solely on past memories for enjoyment

What is the biggest mistake in life ?
473geo replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Biggest mistake is not learning from mistakes -
Sounds like you can't afford to assist much now when difficulties have arisen, the future doesn't look good. If you can't send a small amount with pleasure then I would say its not going to last Just block her let her get on with her life and you yours

Mine is 28 days also for state pension, keeps creeping down a couple of days earlier, eventually I will get two payments in one calendar month 28 days apart ???? not that it makes a difference -
Good grief Thailand is one big 'national park' and if you still need to visit waterfalls and lakes late in life what have you been doing! You deserve to pay!! Only hospital treatment I experienced in Thailand 36 stitches 1000 baht exceptional on the spot treatment For the last part of your comments see my recent post above So let us not take the OPs post as anything more than a heads up for what many of us already cater for, the unexpected can occasionally become the expected in Thailand

I think the moral of this 'report' is find a doctor close to you who runs surgery For one thing they may stock the drugs you require, secondly they are not 'overseen' to the extent they would refuse to assist, if the doctor could not treat you they are your link via referral to a place that can One of the more common complaints in the UK was people going to A&E for minor issues, while I understand doctors run surgeries at Thai government hospitals, the possibility of long a wait is high, 30 minutes is not too bad for either of the choices ????

Surely Richard you are experienced enough to understand the introduction and implementation of authority signature chains in Thailand as a means of control
-
Well if the pharmacy where the OP recd his anti virals, was not much further out of the way than the hospital dispensary then we could perhaps ascertain this is much ado about nothing We don't appear to be supplied with this information Richard perhaps the whole story is obtuse
-
Presumably you did obtain the life saving medication from elsewhere otherwise you would be dead
-
I would guess the supplies of anti viral to the hospital were proving inadequate and no certainty of further delivery The intention of the hospital was to provide an alternative supplier which they did OP does not say if the alternative was in possession of drugs list hospital provided

Sitting on the porch, with a cup of coffee, having nurtured in a new arrival yesterday, on the farm. Daily walking through the rice fields coming up to fruition shortly. Currently steadily completing two additional ensuite bedrooms....... I wonder why I never in 15 years of marriage 'protected' anything or everything. Then I realise along with an element of trust, there is no fear of leaving it all, and, starting a new chapter should the need arise ???? So my advice along with the other unsolicited postings is don't complicate things, hang loose ????
