That is not possible. A change from any non immigrant visa category to another one cannot be done while in the country. It is only possible to change the reason for your extension of stay to another one. For example it is possible to change from a extension based upon retirement that is for a entry from a OA visa to one based upon being married to a Thai which does not require the medical insurance.

IMO evidence of it being published in the Royal Gazette is not really all that relevant. There are many announcements about it by TAT and etc. It is even stated on a popup message when you go on the Thailand Pass site. I think you should look closer at that requirement. It think it means for the first entry to Thailand using the METV. If you don't like the requirements for a a METV you should check at what is required for the STV. Are you using the e visa site for the application?

If your Non-OA visa is still valid you can leave and re-enter the country to get a new one year entry up to the day it expires. That could be done by doing a border hop. You would need a full year of insurance to get a one year stay from it. No need to apply for a extension of stay for about a year that requires financial proof.

Your report will be due on July 3rd. You can do it now since your are within the 15 days before the report window. You could also do it up to7 days after the report date. If you have never done a 90 day report before you would not able to use the online report system. The new online reporting system is much better than the old one.

Have you ever applied for a 60 day extension to visit your wife since your last entered the country with a visa (not a re-entry permit). The 60 day extension would be enough time to have the 400k baht in the bank for 2 months. If you cannot apply for the 60 day extension your best option would be get a new non-o visa at a nearby embassy or consulate. Savannakhet or Vientiane would be a good choice to apply for the non-o visa.

You mentioned a 30 day stay that is a visa exempt entry not a tourist visa applied for at a embassy or consulate. You could probably use your UK passport for the visa exempt entry but if immigration system detects you are using a different passport it could a problem. For a visa exempt entry you would need a ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival plus if you wanted to stay longer than 30 days you would need to apply for 30 day extension (1900 baht). Best to get a multiple re-entry permit (3800 baht) that will valid for unlimited entries up to the day your extension expires. Each entry is only a arrival stamp.

Best to apply for a multiple re-entry permit for a fee of 3800 baht.

You will not be fined for a one day overstay. The chances of getting caught with a one day overstay is about zero.

You will not be able to apply anywhere for a METV. Only those from certain countries qualify for one. The e visa site is only site at certain embassies and official consulates. I looked at the embassy in Pretoria website and they are not using the e visa site. Also they do not show a METV on their website. A TM30 report by hotels and etc do not change your address or affect doing 90 day reports.

You should of canceled it and applied for the report again and double check you entered everything correctly. It could be it was not received by Kalasin immigration for some unknown reason. If don't think I would more than a few of days for it to be approved or disapproved.

You could enter visa exempt to get a 30 day stay that can be extended for 30 days. Then you could then apply for a non-o visa at immigration. It may be possible with a e visa. If you qualify for a 15 day visa on arrival you might not have enough room since it requires about a full page for it. If you actually mean a 30 day visa exempt entry you would have enough room. Do you have any pages that are only partially used?

Are you sure you are entering the correct and required info when completing the application. The smallest thing can lead to a rejection. Did you enter your full name. Some immigration offices will reject one if you do not do it.

They are telling you to create a new login in on the e visa website using a different email address. Not sure why they only mentioned those 2 email services or maybe they left and etcetera out of the line.

A TM30 report regulation were changed in June of 2020. A report is only required if you change addresses or enter the country with a new visa or visa exempt.

Traveling around the country does not change your address for 90 day reporting. If you were able to do the report at a different office that would require a address for where you are located. You 90 day reports can be done online ( https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login ) or by mail to the office your report to. In both cases you would use the address for where you normally live.
