Then after applying it will have to be in the bank for 3 months from day you apply and then 400k baht until you top up the account to 800k for the next extension.
  2. 5.1 Is a letter from the bank confirming your account and the balance on the day it is written. 5.3 Is credit advice showing funds in the bank account came from abroad. If your funds have been in the bank for some time most offices will waive the requirement for the proof it came from abroad.
  3. if you a tourist visa you would use a TM86 form to change your visa to a non-o visa. Requirements are here. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
  4. They would not issue you a non-o visa if you have a valid a re-entry permit since they consider it equal to have a valid visa. You apparently misread my post.
  5. No changes I am aware of. There is a current ongoing topic about them. If you do not have a re-entry permit your extension of stay would no longer be valid as soon as your leave the country.
  6. Not visa or exenion related. Moved to the Bangkok forum.
  7. You can apply for a non-b visa based upon teaching at immigration with a visa exempt entry or the 30 day extension. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/2.FOR-WORKING-AS-TEACHER-NON-B.pdf You could also apply for a non-b for teaching at a nearby embassy or consulate.
  8. If living outside of Thailand a waiver request for the draft can be done at a Thai embassy or official consulate. There is no cancelation or the inability to apply for a passport if he does not attend the draw for conscription. When a man reaches the age of 21 they will be informed when to attend the drawing in the district he is registered in. Moved to the Family and Children forum.
  9. Or if entering Laos at a crossing that accepts them get a Lao visa online for $50. No waiting for a VOA or worry about having the correct amount of cash. See: https://laoevisa.gov.la/index
  10. Those not fully vaccinated will not need a covid 19 test 72 hours before arrival. They will be screened and will then possibly be given a professional ATK (antigen test). Notice: The OP's question has been answered now. Any further discussions about the pros and cons of being vaccinated will be removed without notice for being off topic.
  11. I don't know exactly how it would be handled since I have seen nothing about it. I would assume they might allows a person go into self isolation if there were no symptoms of a serious infection. Not sure how that would be handled.
  12. It is already open and their have been reports of getting a non-o visa there.
  13. No difference if you had a non-b visa entry. Any non immigrant visa entry can be used to apply for a extension of stay based upon retirement.
  14. You are wrong but not important in this topic since he is already here in Thailand. See: https://thaiembdc.org/2020/11/17/nonoretirement/
  15. Until July 1st if not fully vaccinated you would need a covid 19 test done 72 hours before arrival. On or after the 1st you would not need the test before arrival but could be randomly given a professional antigen test when you arrive.
  16. Immigration for some unknown reason does not want to accept transfers of your income to apply for a non-o visa. You now have then option of applying for a non-o visa at the Thai consulate in Savannakhet Laos. The will accept proof of your income by way of transfers or a pension statement. It may also be possible to do it at the embassy in Vientiane.
  17. You did not change from a non-b visa to a non-o visa. You only changed the reason for your extension from working to retirement.
  18. You only need to it in person if it is your first 90 day report ever. You can do it online since apparently you have had 90 day reports done before.
  19. Apparently you did not have at least 15 days remaining on your 30 day visa exempt entry that is required to apply for a non-o visa using a TM87 form. Perhaps this list of required documents and etc will help you. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022C1_09.pdf
  20. I heard or seen or heard anything about them being reduced to 30 days. Probably just rumor. I cannot see them changing it since the current order for them is is valid until July 24th.
  21. He will need to do a affirmation of permit to marry at the Australian Embassy here. He can have the divorce certificate translated to Thai here if needed at a Amphoe to register his marriage.
  22. One year of insurance is only required for a Non-OA visa visa application and a extension of the one year entry that it allows. If applying for a non-o visa for retirement at some embassies and official consulates only 90 days of insurance is needed to apply for it. Then when you apply for a one year extension of stay it is not required. If you apply for a non-o visa and a one year extension no insurance is required.
  23. A agent would not be able to change non immigrant visa categories since immigration does not do it in any case. It is not that difficult now to do a border hop to get a visa exempt entry. Just be sure you do not have a valid re-entry permit. On July 1st or later there will be no need to get a Thailand pass.
  24. Is he asking about applying for a non-o visa at immigration or a one year extension of stay based upon marriage or both? For the non-o visa the 400k baht has to be in the bank on the day the application is done. For the one year extension the 400k baht has to be in the bank for 2 months on the date of application. He should plan on keeping the 400k baht for 30 days after apply when the extension will be issued after a under consideration period. After getting the extension stay he can do what he wants to with the 400k baht. Here is my list of general requirements the extension.Marriage Extension Requirements 2.pdf
