TM6 scraped ,how to do the TM30
ubonjoe replied to Radlfhahrer's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You would need one unless you have recently entered the country and did not need one. -
Number 3 on that page mentions permanent residency. " (3) A person who provide or receive support from the person whose nationality is Thai or the alien who has been granted and has taken up permanent residence in Thailand as the parents, spouse or child under patronage and being a part of the household of the said person." A non-o visa can also be applied or at immigration if they have a tourist visa or visa exempt entry. What pics for VE extension?
ubonjoe replied to 10years's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You only need one 4 X 6 cm photo for the TM7 form. You can do a selfie with a white or blue background and print it photo paper yourself if you resize it 4 X 6 cm. -
Non Immigrant 'O' based on Retirement.
ubonjoe replied to DoctorB's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The basic medical insurance is needed to apply for a non-o visa based upon retirement. It only needs to be valid for 90 days. If you do not want deal with the insurance and applying for the non-o visa you could enter visa exempt to get a 30 day stay and then apply for the non-o visa at immigration and then the one year extension near the end of the 90 day stay it allows. Covid extension 28d under consideration stamp
ubonjoe replied to isokulli's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Many offices have a 30 day under consideration period for covid 19 extensions. -
He could change to a extension based upon marriage and show that the 400 baht has been the bank when he applies for it in January.
-
I think you will have problems applying for a new extension in January. Many people have been denied their extension application for not keeping the 400k baht in the bank. I assume you got a re-entry permit at immigration.
-
No sure what you are asking about. The 800k baht has to be in a Thai bank for 2 months before you apply for a extension of stay based upon retirement and then for 3 months after you apply. The you can reduce it to 400k baht until you top up your account to 800k baht for the next extension.

ubonjoe replied to Radlfhahrer's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
When a hotel or etc do a TM30 report it does not change anything for you. No need to do anything at immigration. -

If you don't have a TM6 they would accept the TM30 report or anything else that requires the number. -
Changing stamps to new passport.
ubonjoe replied to Vatman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That was for the date your passport expires. If not valid for 12 months when you apply for a extension it will only be issued to the day your passport expires. -
I do not see that branch being closed on this list. https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/COVID19-Update/Branch-Service It could of closed a long time ago though but certainly not recently. You can check for all of the branches in your province here. https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Locate-Us

Changing stamps to new passport.
ubonjoe replied to Vatman's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is completely false info. Immigration has no rule stating that. People get their stamps transferred all the time and their extensions are transferred the same way it has been done for many years. Only if your extension is due renewal would that statement be correct. -
You can apply for a 60 day extension. You will need a completed TM7 form. You wife will need to be with you when you apply. Copy of your marriage certificate. Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card. Some offices may want a up to date print out of your Kor Ror 2 marriage registry that can be requested at any Amphoe. You can apply for the extension about 2 week before your 90 days end.

Extending Non O based on being parent
ubonjoe replied to StealthComms's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will use the standard TM7 form for the extension application. You will need 2 of them completed and 2 sets of supporting document for the application. Photos in and around the house will be needed for the application but it varies from office to office. If you child is of school age some even want pictures of them and you at their school. Also proof they attending school. Best to contact the office where you with be applying for your extension since it can vary greatly from office to office. You need copies of their birth certificate, house book registry and ID card (if old enough to have one). Aslo a KorRor 11 form from a Amphoe to prove you are the legal father of you child. You will need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only on the day you apply for your extension. -
Proof of accommodations are not required for a single entry tourist visa application. You may be required to provide a ticket out of the country within 60 days to do the application. Requirements are here: https://thaiembdc.org/2020/11/05/trsingle_entry/ You will do the application on the e visa site. You can get a single re-entry permit to keep the remainder of the 60 day entry and or the 30 day extension of it valid when you enter the country.

New entry requirements from 1 July
ubonjoe replied to TPDH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It would not be a problem when leaving the US unless the airline made up its own rules. If there was a problem when arriving here that is when you would get antigen test done. Perhaps get a booster shot before traveling to here. -

Thailand has no rule that states your 2 vaccinations have a limit on how old they are when entering the country. If there was a problem you would just need to a professional antigen test done (ATK).
