ubonjoe replied to stubby52's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you get your passport while in Australia show both passports when you enter the country to use the re-entry permit in your old passport and then immigration will stamp you into the country the new one. -
Passport expires within o visa period
ubonjoe replied to stubby52's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you do not get a new passport your extension of stay will end in June of 2023. Immigration will only issue a extension to the day your passport expires. -
Her non-b visa really means nothing at this time since it has bee invalid since she entered the the country with it. All she has now is a extension of the permit to stay it allowed when she entered the country with it. The new work permit she will get from the new school will replace the old one after it is canceled.

The new school will have to apply for a work permit for her to get a work permit approval letter that will be needed to apply for a new extension of stay (is not a visa) based upon teaching. Then the old school will to give her a termination letter stating the last day she will be working to have her current extension canceled to apply for a new extension with supporting documents from the new school. Not sure why the new school is suggesting a covid 19 extension. I am not sure she will be able to apply for one if she entered the country with a non-b visa. At this time the last day to apply for one is the 24th unless the order for them will will be extended again.

Re-Entry Permit at Nong Khai Checkpoint ?
ubonjoe replied to HungDonger's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
In the past a re-entry permit could be applied for at the bridge in Nong Khai. Not sure it is available now. If not done at the bridge you might be able to get one at the immigration office near the bridge. -

60 Day extension for Covid reasons
ubonjoe replied to Lotusflower6's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is no 90 day extension you can apply for other than for medical treatment unless you are on a Special Tourist Visa (STV) entry. -
Expired Thai Passport
ubonjoe replied to bluejets's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You wife can enter Thailand with a expired Thai passport. I see not reason for their being a problem to do it. -
Immigration will not ask for proof of insurance for a extension of a OA visa entry. It is only required when apply for the one year extension based upon retirement. You will only need proof of $10,000 for corvid 19 coverage to get a Thailand Pass. You will only need 30 days of coverage. I assume you have a re-entry to use when entering the country.

Reporting to Immigration after return to Thailand
ubonjoe replied to Jen65's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The rules for TM30 reporting were changed in June of 2020. A new report is not required in your case unless you enter with a new visa. I have seen reports of Chiang Mai immigration asking for one even though it is not required. I guess they do not want to comply with the new regulation. -

New 90 Day Report Proceedure
ubonjoe replied to connda's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The new system does not do any checks before letting you do the report like the old one. A old entry or a new passport no longer prevents you from doing a report online. I had a old entry and new passport but my immigration office fixed it so I was able to a online report in October of 2020. I was getting instant approval of my reports. -

Here are the requirements for the visa application. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf Perhaps print it out and show it to immigration since it is in Thai and English.
