90 Days on Arrival for Tourist?
ubonjoe replied to TomMc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is not 60 day visa exempt entry. Most people get a 30 day visa exempt entry that can be extended for 30 days. There are some visa exempt entries under bilateral agreements that are for 90 days. -
90 Days on Arrival for Tourist?
ubonjoe replied to TomMc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You apply for a visa online to the Thai Embassy in London using the e visa website. https://thaievisa.go.th/ It is done entirely online and you do not have to mail your passport to the embassy. You will get a stickerless visa by email. -
90 Days on Arrival for Tourist?
ubonjoe replied to TomMc's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The confusion is calling a visa exempt entry a visa on arrival that only allows a 15 day stay after applying for it and paying a 2000 baht fee for it. That list is a little out of date. The is newest one I am aware of. List of countries for visa exempt and visas on arrival dated October 2021. -
Hi, just to confirm...
ubonjoe replied to Drew3223's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I prefer to say if leaving from either airport in Bangkok you will not be fined for a overstay of less than 24 hours and it is still being done at this time. Not all airports waive the 500 baht fine for a less than a 24 hour overstay and as far as I know no border crossing does it.l -
Under Consideration for Covid Extenstion?
ubonjoe replied to ricklev's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Most immigration offices will do the 30 day extension up to 2 weeks before your permit to stay (a visa is not extended) ends. -
Thai Elite visa question
ubonjoe replied to hapark's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The Thai Elite visas are issued with a 5 year validity and it allows unlimited 1 year entries until it expires. When the visa is near to expiring you have to go to immigration to get a new visa sticker. If you want to stay more than one year without leaving the country you have to apply for a one year extension at immigration. -
What are the current visa run options?
ubonjoe replied to ThLT's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Immigration did the announcement last year about the STV extensions since they are the ones that issue them. From the immigration website. -
I assume you are writing about US social security. Moved to the US and Canada sub forum on the home country forum.

I put home for the building name/owner name (not a required field) since that is what I used on the old online reporting system and the new system inserts the house number I entered when doing the application on the TM47 form. The village name should be enough if you don't have a street number or name. Nothing happens since it uses is the info you used when you registered for the website.

I don't think I wrote anything about leaving a required field blank. The problem is how the info was entered for the address. If a previous application was done the TM47 form is good guide for entering the required info. Here is a partially redacted copy of my TM47 form address section. After home it has my house number shown in this format 123/321 and the lane/road is not a name but a number for road in that is written as 31/4 for example. I think everybody knows I live in Ubon. I used home in the following space for building name on the application and the house number in the address number. I ticked the box on the application here.

Ask them for a screenshot of the online TM30 report done as proof it was done online.

Under Consideration for Covid Extenstion?
ubonjoe replied to ricklev's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The under consideration stamp allows him to stay in the country until his extension is approved. The report back date does not end the under consideration period. If it was not approved he would be granted 7 days to leave the country but I am not aware of any covid 19 extension being disproved after the application was accepted. -
ED visa to Non-B for Work Permit
ubonjoe replied to PremiumLane's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You cannot change non immigrant visa categories without leaving the country. If is possible to change the reason for your extension based upon attending a school to one based upon working. But the problem can getting a work permit application accepted and a approval letter for it that is needed to apply for the extension based upon working. If your intended employer has contacts at the local work permit office they may be able to get it done. -
7 days to leave Thailand
ubonjoe replied to Isaantiger's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
No It will not be noticed by a embassy or consulate or immigration on arrival. -
I think you did it a day early. Submit it again now and it should be approved. Mine is due on the 4th and I got the email from immigration about 1 o'clock this morning that mine was due. Just tried it on the mobile app and it informed me I was to early to do it. I will be doing mine early tomorrow morning on the website since that is the real 15 days they count. I have started using 2 weeks before for my reports.

Thai Elite visa question
ubonjoe replied to hapark's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You could enter visa exempt if you qualify for it and get the Elite Visa on arrival. You might need a onward ticket to board your flight to here but they might accept proof you of your Thai Elite visa approval instead of a flight out. You can also enter on a tourist visa and apply for the Elite visa here or visa exempt with the 30 day extension of it. -
Thai Elite visa question
ubonjoe replied to hapark's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can apply for a Thailand Elite on their website (https://www.thailandelite.com/#/) and when approved and paid for you can get the visa sticker done on arrival or at immigration in Bangkok and a couple of other offices.
