  1. I am not aware of any office that requires you to have a appointment. It is you choice. Which office would you be going to? If Nong Khai you can find the link for that office here. https://www.immigration.go.th/?page_id=19956
  2. That is the request I was writing about. They will not deduct any thing unless you send that form to them. From the W4-V.
  3. I did not write that. You will still use it. When you do the actual visas application on e visa website it will give you a choice to get a multiple entry tourist visa.
  4. Immigration certainly does not require the original passport for mailed in reports. This from the immigration website for mailed in reports. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/90days-report/
  5. Since he will have a multiple entry non-o visa I would assume it is based upon marriage to a Thai. That insurance requirement is only required for a non-o visa based upon retirement.
  6. I have merged your topics. No need for 2 topics asking the same questions. You would apply for the extension at the immigration office where you are living. You will need a TM30 report done to prove you address when you apply.
  7. If you enter with a non-o visa you will have 90 days to apply for a one year extension which means you will have about a month to get the 400k baht in the bank. You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit you wife if you need more time. You can only apply for one per entry with a visa. You do not need a agent to apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage. It is not as hard as some people say. Here is my general list of required documents. Marriage Extension Requirements 2.pdf
  8. The check after applying for a extension is not tied to doing a 90 day report. It is completely separate. Not sure why they say 90 days since the immigration order states you have to keep the 800k baht in the bank for 3 months not 90 days.
  9. You have to request a credit advice for each transfer. This post in a ongoing topic has info about them. https://aseannow.com/topic/1253085-monthly-income-certificare/?do=findComment&comment=17239121
  10. There is no written official limit. The only limit is for visa exempt entries at land border crossing that is 2 per calendar year.
  11. You cannot change non immigrant visa categories while in the country at immigration. The only way is to leave the country to get a non-b visa or enter visa exempt and apply for it at immigration. You could change the reason for your extension from retirement to working. But the problem is getting a work permit application done to get a work permit application approval document to apply for the new extension while on a retirement extension.
  12. I had no choice when I first got my SSA set up other than transferring it into a bank in the US. The fees for it is not really all that much dependent upon much is sent. It is $5 up to $2000 plus a 200 baht minim charged here or .25% for greater amounts. The IDP payments are sent in Thai baht and sometimes the difference in exchange rates here can be equal to the fees charged. I have not changed to IDP yet due to concerns about a payment being delayed in the process that could cause a problem when I apply for my extension. If I decided to change I would do it shortly after I apply for my extension so that if I one was missing I could apply for a 60 day extension to get to 12 months to apply for the next one year extension.
  13. Yes but it will be in Thai that I showed in my post on that topic. It says Kor Ror 2 in Thai on it.
  14. You can apply for it at you local immigration office. Your wife will need to be with you when you apply. You will need the standard passport page copies needed for a extension and a completed TM7 form. A copy of you marriage certificate (orignal to show if needed), copies of you wife's house book registry and ID card signed by her. Some offices may also want a recent printout of your Kor Ror marriage registry that can be requested at any Amphoe or Khet (Bangkok).
  15. You can only have the SSA payment sent to one account. If you will need to pay taxes they will deduct it from your payments at your request. If you have a address for Thailand shown on your account you can opt out of part B medicare payments if you want to.
  16. If you are on a extension of stay based upon marriage you can use your income to meet the 40k baht income option by showing tax payments. You would also need to show them you have a work permit.
  17. It is a 60 day extension to visit a Thai wife or child. Are you married to a Thai or have a Thai child? It is standard extension available only once per entry to the country.
  18. A account at the New York branch is not needed or possible. The transfers go to the branch in New York by a ACH and they send it to Bangkok and they credit it to my account here. I have a special direct deposit account here for them to to go into that was the only way to do it until the SSA added Thailand to the International Direct Deposit system in 2018.
  19. When they did away with affidavits I was very glad I already had my SSA payment going into Bangkok Bank for several years. When I did the first extension and was waiting got get it done a immigration officer made a comment I needed a year of transfers and I told him I had 3 years of proof in my newest bank book plus a one year bank statement.
  20. Not if an agent is doing it at another office than where he is living.
  21. 1. He has been on a overstay since the day his divorce was finalized and the ones after that were done fraudulently. He should leave the country and re-enter with a new non-o visa after he gets married. 2. How has he been doing 90 day reports. Others have had to submit a TM30 form to do their reports in Bangkok after the extension was done in another province. 3. He may have to do that to avoid getting caught for doing his extensions fraudulently after getting a new non-o visa. 4. That would not help since immigration will link his old and new passports. He may be into big problems if he is not careful. Not sure how the agent was able to the extension without a new Kor Ror 2 marriage registry after he got divorced.
  22. I assume you mean credit advices that is not called tracking. That depends upon how the SSA payments are sent. If transferred by ACH to Bangkok Bank in New York you do not need credit advices since they already shown as FTT transfers in your bank book and as a international transfer on a one year bank statement. If you are using the IDP (international direct deposit) then you do need credit advises since they come in via the Bank of Thailand as baht.
  23. You will need the affirmation of permit to marry translated to Thai by a translation service. Then the translation has to be certified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA. Info is here in Thai. https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/page/cate-6441-รับรองนิติกรณ์เอกสาร?menu=5d68c88b15e39c160c008184
  24. Do you both have vaccination certificates done here? You daughter can register on the Mor Prom app to get a international vaccination certificate using here Thai ID number. Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mor.promplus&hl=en If a apple dvice search for it on the apple site for apps. You can also register on it if you have a 13 digit ID number on your certificate frin MOPH. You may need consent from your daughters mother when you leave the country with her. That can be done at a Amphoe. When returning to Thailand you both will need a Thailand Pass. See: https://tp.consular.go.th/home
