  1. You can apply for a 60 day extension to visit your wife but only one per entry to country with a visa can be done.
  2. In Bangkok the best to the fingerprints done is at the police clearance office. Info can be found on their website here. https://pcscenter.sbpolice.go.th/en Have you gotten the fingerprint cards from the US embassy. Info here: https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/fingerprint-cards/
  3. They can be found like this.
  4. Yes you do need to cancel the extension at the office that issued it. There might be a few immigration offices that would do it but that would be a rarity.
  5. You have to cancel the extension of stay at the office that issued it. If you go to immigration before the termination date on a letter from your they will post date the cancelation date to that day. A work permit has to be canceled in province where it was issued. You cannot apply for a non-o visa at immigration. You will only be changing the reason for your extension of stay based upon working to one based up retirement.
  6. Not in this case since he will be doing his extension of stay before the 90 day stay he got from a non-o visa application. If you enter with a re-entry permit for a extension of stay the report would be due 90 days from the day you enter the country.
  7. No financial proof is needed to apply a 60 day extension to visit your wife. Your wife has to be with you when you apply for it. You will need your marriage certificate and a copy of it. Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card. Some offices may also want a recent print out of your Kor 2 marriage registry that can be requested at any amphoe.
  8. It works for me when I hover the mouse pointer over the heart. Maybe a problem with your browser.
  9. Non immigrant visa applications (change of visa status) are done at Chaeng Wattana. Visa applications are not shown on online reporting for CW. https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/ImmigrationOfficeGovernmentComplexChaengWattanaRd@imm1division.onmicrosoft.com/bookings/
  10. 1. If your on a extension of of stay or a multiple entry visa you do not need to a new TM30 report unless you change your address or enter with a new visa (new regulation done in June of 2020). 2. You do not need to do aTM30 report if you have a receipt for doing one if move it to your new passport, 3. The online TM30 site will not show a report done in person or done some time ago.
  11. Your first 90 day report will be due 90 days from the day you apply for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement. When the non-o visa was issued by immigration and you got a new 90 day permit to stay that started the 90 days again.
  12. If living in Phuket or elsewhere in the south of the country it will be approved by Immigration Division 6 in Hat Yai. Only applications done in Bangkok are approved there. It will be approved without a problem if it is accepted by immigration. If there was any problem your application they would contact you to get it sorted out.
  13. Most agents do not put any money in the bank. They arrange approval of the application with immigration. I suspect the agent provides a unproven copy of a bank book and a letter from the bank in your name that is put in your file for the extension application in case there is a audit done in the future.
  14. For the $50,000 USD covid 19 insurance needed for entry check this site. https://covid19.tgia.org/ For the 3 million baht insurance needed to apply for a Non-OA visa I am not aware of any company will that will issue the insurance. In that case enter visa exempt from Australia and apply for a non-o visa and a one year extension of stay based upon retirement at immigration.
  15. There are no land border crossings open at this time. You can only travel by air to Phnom Penh. Cambodia has a e visa site. https://www.evisa.gov.kh/
  16. A one time there was list on the embassy in Vientiane website but it is gone now. The website for the official consulate in Savannakhet does not have list that could find. Website for Savannakhet. https://savannakhet.thaiembassy.org/th/page/104407-applying-for-visa?menu=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453c
  17. From the embassy in Kuala Lumpur website. Note there is a lot more than 20 countries on the list. Source: https://kualalumpur.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/99054-listed-visa-requirements-2?page=5d75510e15e39c1e600048dc&menu=5d75510e15e39c1e600048dd
  18. 1. That is what it states on Thailand Pass site. 2. It can be at different hotels at a different location. 3. The best way may be do you hotel reservations directly with them. 4. That is the minim deposit for a AQ hotel for those doing the 7/10/14 day quarantines.
  19. I looked on Google maps and it shows 5 hours and 10 minutes from BKK to Koh Chang (321 km). Not sure if that would really be possible.
  20. This from the Thailand Pass FAQ's (read the last paragraph). Source: https://consular.mfa.go.th/th/content/thailand-pass-faqs-2
  21. It is a Bureau is under the Royal Thai Police. The boss of the Immigration Bureau reports to the boss of the RTP. Under the Immigration Bureau there are 6 divisions. Division 1 is for Bangkok, Division 2 is for the airports, Division 3 is for the central region, Division 4 is for the Northeast (aka Issan), Division 5 is the for the North and Division 6 is for the South.
  22. Most of the discussion is done to complete the affidavit the wife and you have to sign it in front of the officer who also signs it. My office completes the affidavit on their computer, saves it and then prints it out for us to sign. Then when you go in to do the next extension they open the file from the year before, confirms the info is still correct with my wife and then prints it out to be signed. Saves a lot of time that way. I have done 14 of those extensions so I do know a lot about doing them.
  23. That is correct for a extension of stay based upon marriage. But not for retirement due to the requirement to prove you kpet 800k baht in the bank for 3 months after the date of application and then 400k baht until the account is topped up to 800k baht again.
  24. You should check with the office where you will be applying for 60 day covid 19 extension of stay (it not a visa) a couple of weeks before your current extension ends to confirm that you can do another or they may issue the extension. There have been reports of immigration letting people that entered with a tourist visa or visa exempt to apply for the extension if they changed their stay to a non-o visa after entering the country. Those that entered with a non immigrant visa are being denied the covid 19 extensions.
