  1. Did they tell you that you needed the 100k baht income or the 1.2 millions baht in the bank or did you just go by the info the have on one page of their website. There is a another page that still shows 65k baht or 800k baht in the bank.
  2. A 5 year passport is 1000 baht and a 10 year is 1500 baht. Not sure where the 3500 baht number came from.
  3. You can change the reason for your extension of stay from marriage to one based upon working for a company without needing to leave the country. You can get a work permit and work with a extension based upon marriage. It is even possible to use the income from working to meet the 40k baht income requirement.
  4. Normally that is correct but covid 19 has changed that. At this time they need to get temporary passport or a certificate of identity to get a Thailand Pass.
  5. Only the Thai embassy in Canberra or the official consulate in Sydney can help with Thai passport issues. Normally a Thai can enter Thailand with expired but due to the covid 19 restrictions and needing a Thailand pass. It will probably be easier for her to get a certificate of identity or embergency than a new passport in Australia. Info is here on the embassy website. https://canberra.thaiembassy.org/thai-emergency-passport/ If you only plan on staying for 6 weeks you can enter visa exempt to get a 30 day entry that can be extended for 30 days.
  6. Are you the legal father of your child by way of marriage to their mother or by way of legitimizing your parenthood? If you were married to their mother you would only need a copy of your marriage certificate their birth certificate to prove you are the legal father. If not married you need a proof of you being the legal father by way of a family court of it they are 7 older it can be done at a Amphoe to obtain a Kor Ror 11 form. Info about being the legal father of you child can be found in this pinned topic on the family and children forum. https://aseannow.com/topic/381917-how-to-gain-parental-rights-as-a-father/
  7. He wrote he was applying for a non-o visa so I assume he reading the requirements that state a rental agreement is needed. "8. Rental Agreement between the Applicant and the Landlord ; A copy of house registration. Location map of the house and a rental receipt Past three months." Source: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8-1.pdf
  8. You send it by EMS (express mail service) not registered mail. You will also send a 100 baht cashiers check with your passport for the return of it and your new passport by express mail.
  9. It varies from office to office. Some want a witness and others do a home visit instead of a witness, It is normal to need two TM7 forms and 2 sets of the supporting documents for the extension of stay based upon marriage since the application has to be approved at the division level of immigration,
  10. You can also enter visa exempt that will allow a stay of 30 days that can be extended for 30 days. No need to apply for a tourist visa. You will need to a apply for a Thailand Pass ( https://tp.consular.go.th/ ) and have $50,000 of insurance coverage ( see https://covid19.tgia.org/ ).
  11. Your girlfriend can write a statement that you are living with her and proof she in the owner or the possessor of the residence where you are staying.
  12. I assume your son is Thai from birth since his mother is Thai. Has his birth been registered here in Thailand or if born in your country at the Thai embassy there? You can apply for a non-o visa and one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of a Thai. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank on the day you apply for the extension of stay.
  13. It looks like an advert to sell insurance. There is certainly no requirement for insurance for any extension other than a extension of a OA visa entry and that requires 400k baht of in patient care and 40k baht out patient care.
  14. You have to return to the same office since any other office would not have a record of your application or the approval of you extension application,
  15. It will not be a problem since you are leaving the country and your 90 days will start again on the day you enter the country,
  16. If you have a passport that is expiring the extension will only be issued to the day your extension expires. Then when you get a new passport they will only transfer the stamps and etc to the new one and you will still have the same expiration date for your extension.
  17. I don't recall any country having a maximum amount of a passports validity remaining to apply for new one. Most countries recommend a new passport be applied for prior to the existing one having 6 months of validity remaining.
  18. I have seen no reports of any office doing that. There is no basis for an office doing that since the insurance is only required if a person has entered the country using a OA visa according the the immigration order for extension of stay.
  19. I think that is only for passports applied for online in the UK or in countries where it can be done. It is not available for those applying via VFS here as far as I know.
  20. You could apply for a extension of stay based upon attending a school with your existing stay allowed by the non-o visa you got. A extension for attending school can be for 90 days if attending a informal school such a language one or one year if attending a formal school such as univercity. You need to contact some schools about what they can help you do.
  21. Hua Hin will accept a email from your embassy stating they will not do the letter. Perhaps call them ask them to send you the email. Others have done it. That might easier than a trip to Bangkok. In Bangkok you would apply at the Muang Thong Thani office.
  22. The bank statement only needs to shows the 400k baht has been in the bank for 2 months prior to the day you apply. Your bank book may be all you will need if it shows the 400k baht in bank for 2 months and has been updated on regular basis. CW migration wants the bank book updated on the day you apply and the bank letter no older the day before.l If needed you can get a bank statement on the day you apply or a few days before that.
