Non-Immigrant O Extension Process
ubonjoe replied to stament's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Some offices start the 30 days from the day you current permit to stay ends. All of mine have been done that way. If living in the North East it will be done that way. Edit: Doing your extension does not change your 90 day reporting date unless immigration does a new report when doing it. -
60 day COVID extension scheme cancelled?
ubonjoe replied to Woodsie888's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
That is not correct. A extension can be applied for on the day your current permit stay ends. -
60 day COVID extension scheme cancelled?
ubonjoe replied to Woodsie888's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You will need to do the 30 day extension before the 60 day extension at most immigration offices. You would do both extensions at Pathum Thani immigration office it you are staying there. For a 30 day visa exempt entry both extensions would be done at Muang Thong Thani if you were living in Bangkok. -
60 day COVID extension scheme cancelled?
ubonjoe replied to Woodsie888's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
As said the 60 day covid 19 extensions are still available. Maybe the officer meant to tell you you that you should do the 30 day extension that is allowed before doing the 60 day covid 19 extension. -
Go back on the 90 day reporting site by using this link. https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do?cmd=acceptTerm Then click this button. The enter you passport number, date of birth, and nationality. After clicking the magnifying glass you will see your report at the bottom of page. Then under view click the magnifying glass there.

Social Security Philippines
ubonjoe replied to Mansell's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Not sure what Pataya immigration wants. I have used the COLA letter from the SSA I get in December and the SSA 1099 I get in January at the office here for 3 years now when I applied for my extensions. -
I have no idea what you would save. Buying in your wife's name means there will be a greater choice of condos.

The Thailand Pass website is not working yet. There should be some announcements about the new requirements later this week. At this it is unknown what exactly will be required for entry. It is fairly clear that you will have to spend one night at a SHA+ hotel while waiting for your negative covid test done when you enter the country.

Retirement Extension Cancelled- What options
ubonjoe replied to fangless's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
He did not mention the income option for a extension of stay based upon retirement. He was writing about not keeping the 800k baht in the bank for 3 months after the day he applied for his extension and then 400k baht until he tops up his account to 800k baht 2 months before his next extension. -
Yes you can. You would only have about 45 days to apply find a school and apply for the non-ed visa at immigration since you must have 15 days remaining of your permit to stay when you apply. A tourist visa may be your best option since it allows you a 60 day permit to stay that can be extended for 30 days. In the US would apply for it online and get a stickerless visa by email. Just arrange you flight to here. I assume you are aware that you will need Thailand Pass applied for online and donning a possible quarantine.. Are you fully vaccinated for covid 19? Being vaccinated will greatly reduce the quarantine period. You can apply for a 30 day at immigration about a week early. The airline will more than likely ask for ticket out of the country within 30 days. You could use a one way throwaway ticket to anywhere to meet the requirement or get a low cost temporary ticket (search for onward ticket and you find companies offering them).

Has the Covid extension been extended?
ubonjoe replied to pineappleglory's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Already answered in the topic you posted. -
If they will post date the extension cancelation by presenting a letter from the organization they are working with that shows the last day they will working with them. They could then go to immigration a few days before that day and they would stamp it canceled on that day. Of course that would only work if the paperwork was ready for the new extension based upon volunteer work. They could apply for the 60 day covid 19 extension on the day the extension is canceled. They would need to complete this affidavit that has boxes to tick for the reason the extension is needed. 60 Day Covid 19 Extension Affidavit.pdf229.8 kB · 718 downloads

Income for Marriage extension
ubonjoe replied to youngster30uk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
There is no requirement for it to be all in one transfer. Two transfers are acceptable. They may not say anything about the 2nd transfer. If your transfers are shown as a foreign transfers on the statement and you bank book that should be all that you need. -
Income for Marriage extension
ubonjoe replied to youngster30uk's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Different offices means different requirements. Other offices have asked for the proof. My bank statements do not show the amount transferred in or the currency it was sent as. I assume you are getting credit advises to prove it came for abroad. Mine are shown as foreign transfers on my statements and bank book. -
It is the same for the combination option. The amount needed after 3 months may vary from office to office. It should only 50% of the amount used for to apply for the extension.

Income for Marriage extension

The accept it if you monthly total is more 40k baht. A good explanation might be needed if they ask about it. Will this be your first extension using the income option? I have to provide proof of the source of my income I do mine using the income transferred in. They may want proof it was not earned from working online if not from a pension or such. -
Has the Covid extension been extended?
ubonjoe replied to pineappleglory's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I assume you are wanting to extend the 60 day permit to stay your tourist visa allowed for 30 days. You can do it a couple of weeks early at most immigration offices. You certainly do not have to wait until the last day since the extension will start from the day your 60 days ends.
