  1. The consulate website states this. Source: https://thaiconsulatela.thaiembassy.org/en/page/visa-information Info for the METV is here: https://thaiconsulatela.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/tourist-visa-metv-multiple-entries If you can meet the requirements for the METV it will be issued.
  2. Normally immigration will not cancel your extension in order to change the reason for your extension from retirement to marriage. You may have to leave the country without a re-entry permit and get a new non-o visa to start all over again.
  3. The letter from the bank can be done the day before you apply. You will need to update your bank book on the day you apply. There is not requirement to show activity but at many banks you need activity on the account to do a update.
  4. It is your most recent entry to the country that is on your TM6 card or arrival stamp.
  5. A tourist visa allows one 60 day stay that can be extended for 30 days. You could apply for a non-o visa based upon retirement at immigration if you enter on a tourist visa.
  6. Insurance is not required if you use a non-o visa to apply for a one year extension based upon retirement. Same when applying for a non-o visa at immigration.
  7. If you enroll in a school and they supply the required documents you could get a non-ed visa at a nearby embassy or consulate.
  8. Yes you can but it can take a month or more to get approval of the Thai Elite visa application. See: https://www.thailandelite.com/#/
  9. As I wrote before you have to meet the post application money in the bank requirement for the year before you change to the income option. That is 800k for 3 months after you apply for extension and then 400k baht for the remainder of the year. Not sure why you keep mentioning 800k baht for the entire year. Their have been posts of people being denied a extension application for not meeting those requirement when changing to in 65k baht income option.
  10. There have been no changes to the rules. I suspect they just want to know more about the person you have the joint account with.
  11. Unless you are working for a BOI company and etc you cannot use the one stop center.
  12. Moved to the Thailand Motoring forum.
  13. Financial proof would be needed but the 800k baht can be any bank. Or proof of income. See: https://savannakhet.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/non-immigrant-visa-o-visa-retirement-in-thailand?page=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453e&menu=5d84a44c15e39c26b400453f Apply the morning of one day and pick it up the next afternoon. He can also apply for a non-o visa at immigration. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
  14. A TM18 is for those that have permanent residence. The is no number on the form to apply for a certificate of residence. Download: Application For Certificate Of Residency48.26 kB · 1727 downloads
  15. I think the Denmark embassy is still doing proof of income for extension applications that immigration will accept.
  16. It can be done but you will need to apply for a re-entry permit for the 30 day under consideration period.
  17. You can reduce the balance to 400k baht after 3 months. I would double check with Phuket immigration before doing anything more.
  18. You will have comply with rules that state you must keep 800k baht form the day you apply for the 3 months and then for 400k baht until you apply for your next extension using the income baht. The bank letter will not prove you have transferred at least 65k baht for 12 months. A bank statement is needed for that,
  19. Posts meant to deflect the topic and the expected replies to them have been removed.
  20. The METV was suspended due the covid 19 travel restrictions but was reinstated. No embassy or official consulate would issue them but that was changed when they started opening the country.
  21. The 800k baht only has to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply for a extension based upon retirement. Then it must be kept in the bank 3 months after the day you apply and then it can be lowered to 400k baht. You use a TM7 application form for a extension. A TM8 is for a re-entry permit. A map to your house is not normally needed for a extension based upon retirement. A copy of your wife's house book registry is enough. You only need one TM7 form and one set of copies.
  22. The embassy website does show the METV. Maybe a misunderstanding. https://telaviv.thaiembassy.org/en/page/cate-5737-tourist-visa?menu=5d75197d15e39c3598006fc5
  23. You have to do the 30 day extension before they will issue a 60 day covid 19 extension. You can do the covid extension now.
  24. That immigration order is when they started the insurance requirements. The new insurance requirements OA visas started on October 1st of 2021. For renewals (extensions of stay) it starts on September 1st of this year. See: https://longstay.tgia.org/guidelineoa
  25. Not for a OA visa or the extension of the stay from one.
