  1. You could do the border hop to Cambodia to get a 30 day visa exempt entry. You will need a visa on arrival. A online visa is only available at certain crossing and airports. See: https://www.evisa.gov.kh/information/port_entry/3 The crossing at Ban Pakard in Chantaburi is closer to Pattaya. Map: https://goo.gl/maps/4KoTm4Myd7mwyw938 Edit: Requirmjents for the non-o visa applciation is here. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
  2. They would not do one and if they did one immigration would not accept it.
  3. To prove they have the same 20k baht or its equivalent that is required for all entries to the country and to apply for a visa.
  4. You asked about a Non-O visa. A Non-OA visa has the same 2 month requirement. See: https://wellington.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/non-immigrant-visa-o-a?cate=5d75e39215e39c06b8005462
  5. Yes at some immigration offices. Immigration offices in Isaan under immigration division 4 do it. All of my report back dates have been 30 days from when my current extension ends.
  6. Are you applying for a extension of stay based upon working for a BOI company? If needing a new visa it would be best to apply a non-b visa with supporting documents from your employer. The immigration office that issues extension of stay for BOI companies might not accept a non-o visa to apply for the extension. Your questions. I. Yes 2. You could get a visa at the embassy in Vientiane. You extension based upon attending a school would end on the day your leave the country without a re-entry permit to use for entry. 3. Yes 4. If fully vaccinated you do not need a covid 19 test to enter Laos or to return to Thailand. 5. Going by bus or train is least costly way travel to Nong Khai.
  7. You do not need financial proof to get a 60 day extension to visit your wife. Immigration may require you to apply for the normal 30 day extension before applying for the 60 day extension. You could apply for a single entry non-o visa based upon your marriage to a Thai that would allow a 90 day stay. The visa is valid for entry to the country for 3 months from the day it is issued so you would have plenty of time to do the application and have the visa issued. No need for a return or onward ticket if using a visa for entry.
  8. You do the form as part of the steps you go through online. Not sure but I think you will download it to show to VFS.
  9. I assume you could just show that you have had the 20k baht or the equivalent of it in the account for 3 months. No reason to show all the transactions.
  10. After doing the lost/stolen passport form and the police report you could apply at VFS for a replacement passport.
  11. I don't think anything has changed. Same info is here on the website for appointments and requirements. https://thaivisavientiane.com/#
  12. The first thing you woulod do is go through the steps here. https://www.gov.uk/report-a-lost-or-stolen-passport Also do a police report for your lost or stolen passport. If needed you could apply for a emergency passport.
  13. You will need a completed TM7 extension application form. And about all the same documents you needed for the non-o visa application. No need for the proof the 800k baht came from abroad is needed.
  14. I don't think you can get a multiple entry non-o visa for retirement at the embassy or one of the official consulates in Germany. If you did get one you would have to leave and reenter the country every 90 days to get new 90 day stay from it. It seems your best option is to apply for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement. You would have to be here when every year to apply for a new extension of stay.
  15. A few days early should not be a problem. You have 7 days from the report date (including the report date) to do the report. September 17th is on a Saturday.
  16. You will not need to show financial proof to do your 90 day report. Just a completed TM47 form and your passport. A few odd offices may want a copy of your updated bank book to prove the 800k baht has been in the bank for 3 months. I think the notice your passport is to be sure you are aware of the requirements that you need to meet for your next extension of stay application.
  17. Be aware that is not a official website and it can have some out of date or incorrect info on it. This is on the bottom its home page. Whether you can get proof of income from your embassy deepens upon you nationality. Starting in 2019 the UK, US, Australia and others no longer issue it. If from one of those countries you will have to prove your income by way of transfers from abroad into a Thai bank for 12 months at most immigration offices The combination option requires the money in the bank to apply for a extension of stay (it is not a visa) requires the funds to be in Thai bank for 2 months on the day you apply. You may find that some immigration offices will not accept the income option to do your extension.
  18. I assume you read this. "Copy of the applicant's bank statement for the past 2 months showing a balance of at least 800,000 Baht (or the equivalent) OR a certificate of income confirming a monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht" Source: https://wellington.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/81086-non-immigrant-visa-o-other Note it states it can be the equivalent of 800k baht that could be in your bank in New Zealand or elsewhere. I assume you noted the insurance requirement on the list. The might really ask for $100.000 US insurance instead of the 400k/40k baht insurance mentioned.
  19. That is only one of many and never saw that one before. Best to search for onward ticket instead of flights. Try onwardticket.com
  20. I think temporary will turn into permanent. I suspect not all the authorities involved wanted to make it permanent but agreed to make it temporary as a trial run to see how it works out. Not exactly the same as a TM6 form on arrival. The 90 day reporting is required by the immigration act and a TM6 is not mentioned in it.
  21. You will not be able to get one at immigration in Samut Prakan unless you are living in that province. If you have a Bangkok address you will have to do it at Chaeng Wattana.
  22. Yes It was done on the 22nd. Edit: News article with a copy of the order is here. https://thai.news/news/thailand/august-24th-is-now-the-last-day-for-covid-visa-extensions
