  1. Enter your passport number, nationality and then click the large blue box with a magnifying glass symbol on it.
  2. If the immigration officer gave you a 30 day visa exempt instead of using your re-entry permit it would be separate.
  3. If you have a valid re-entry permit you would be stamped into the country until September 22nd unless the arrival immigration officer was willing to give you a 30 day visa exempt entry. A 30 day visa exempt entry can be expended for 30 days. After that you would have to leave the country.
  4. It will be a new extension using supporting documents from the university you will be attending.
  5. After September 1st you must have 3.5 million of medica insurance.
  6. I am sure you will be still applying for extension for attending a university. A extension for doing research is a lot different that studying at a university.
  7. That can only be done if on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry and that visa is not for studying at a university.
  8. You apparently are on a extension of stay based upon attending a university. I am sure your non-ed visa expired long ago. You can change to a different university when your current extension is canceled and the apply for a new one using supporting documents from the new university.
  9. The info I posted is to apply for a non-o visa at immigration. Immigration will not accept transfers from abroad to apply for the non-o visa. They will only accept proof of income from a embassy to do it. If applying for a extension of stay you only need to provide proof of at least 65k baht income transferred from abroad for 12 months.
  10. Since you mention a non quota immigrant visa you apparently have permanent residency here. I suggest you check with the PR section at Chaeng Wattana about it. Since you are on PR they may transfer your visa and etc to the new one without a embassy letter.l
  11. If a TM30 was submitted you should be able to do your report online. But if the approving officer does not check for a new address it could be denied. You do it by mail but best to include a copy of the receipt for the TM30 report.
  12. This topic has certainly run its course since it has now turned into a bickering session between 2 members. This topic now
  13. That is not normally asked for. If needed it could be done by the village headman or kamnan stating you are living together.
  14. Nothing new it has been that way for many years. Bangkok bank will only charge 2 fees and that is taken out by the branch in New York in USD ($5 or $10 dependent upon the amount that is received and a 200 baht minimum or .25%. here. There is no additional charges after the funds are in your account. You can also have your SSA transfered into any bank account here using International Direct Deposit that is transferred in Baht. Sign up form here. https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ssa-1199-op107.pdf
  15. That would depend upon the office where you apply for the visa. Most offices would accept one done the day before if your bank book is update on the day you apply.
  16. You can apply now for the non-o visa. The 800k baht only has to be in the bank on the day you apply. You will need proof the 800k baht was transferred from abroad. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/9.FOR-RETIREMENT-PURPOSES-50-YEARS-OLD-NON-O.pdf
  17. For entry to Laos you will need to get a visa on arrival that is available on the Lao side of the crossing. Cost is about $40 or the equivalent in Baht.
  18. To apply for a non-o visa at immigration there is not requirement for it to be in the bank for any amount of time. The 2 months is only required when applying for a one year extension of stay based upon retirement.
  19. I did a edit while you were posting. Forgot proof being fully vaccinate to enter Thailand. No insurance needed now.
  20. There are not additional requirements. You will need proof you are fully vaccinated or a recent negative ATK test to enter Thailand. You will need to get a visa on arrival to enter Laos or you can apply for it online.
  21. No need for financial proof to apply for a non-o visa at the consulate in Savannakhet. You may be asked to show proof of having at least 20k baht in the bank that is the standard requirement for visas.
  22. Moved to the US & Canada sub forum of the home country forum.
  23. The problem is that many work permit offices would not accept the application for one while on a extension of stay based upon retirement. With the help a employer the it may be possible to overcome the problem.
  24. You can get a non-r visa and the extension of stay to study Buddhism. You would have to find a temple or monastery to support your application. This from the immigration order for extensions of stay.
