  1. The 45 days has been proposed for the standard visa exempt entry. For those from countries that have a bilateral agreement they can get a visa exempt entry that is allowed by the agreement. List of them can be found here. List of countries for visa exempt and visas on arrival dated October 2021.
  2. Just got a email about the suspension. Effective immediately, the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai is temporarily suspending all consular services until further notice due to staffing shortages. Although we hope to resume consular services soon, consular services in Thailand are currently only available at the U. S. Embassy in Bangkok. If you are a U.S. citizen in northern Thailand in need of emergency assistance, please call the Bangkok American Citizens Services unit (02-205-4000). If you have an appointment for, or are seeking, routine services, please email [email protected]. For visa assistance and information, please email [email protected].
  3. A old entry to the country and/or a new passport does not cause a problem on the new 90 day reporting site. The registration for it is done instantly after applying.
  4. They will be closed next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Then again on the the 28th and 29th.
  5. Are sure that you can qualify to apply for a extension of stay based upon working. It appears you salary may not meet the income requirements. You need a minimum salary of 50k baht a months if from most western countries. A multiple entry non-o visa based upon might be your best option. Just do a border hop every 90 days for a new entry.
  6. I wrote that due reading many post about people having problems with e visa site. Plus the cost of needing a ticket in and out of the country when doing the application.
  7. No more info has come out about it. Just a proposal that has not been acted upon.
  8. Read it again and note that it is a or statement. No need for a test if fully vaccinated. Not sure what is needed for a border entry. I wonder if they are doing the day passes for entry to Myanmar.
  9. Not sure why somebody would go through all the trouble of applying for tourist visa on the e visa site and then having to leave and re-enter Thailand to use it now that the land borders are open it would be easy to make a trip to a nearby embassy (Vientiane for example) and apply for it there. Apply the morning of one day and pick it up the next afternoon.
  10. It certainly would not be a normal service provided and I am sure nobody is advertising it. I can recall a member that informed me by PM a few years ago of what was done to clear a long overstay to get around a long ban from entering Thailand that cost him 50k baht. The agent had him get a new passport from his embassy. Then it made a trip by air to Kuala Lumpur to get a entry stamp there. Then it traveled to a border crossing where it entered Thailand.
  11. Not sure what is required for entry by land. By air it shows this. Source after clicking Myanmar on the map here. https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php If fully vaccinated then only proof of that would need to re-enter Thailand,
  12. I assume most immigration offices will be aware that immigration at the airports are not doing a TM6 at this time. It was even announced on the Immigration Bureau Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=pfbid02snGEaDt6ZMy9wiUw11r2bPDigJP3VoCRLG3YiLUkQLDFbw3kp6H5ZCenCGP6nKa9l&id=100068925981064 It also has a link to the Royal Gazette announcing the order by the Interior Ministry. http://www.ratchakitcha.soc.go.th/DATA/PDF/2565/E/155/T_0006.PDF?fbclid=IwAR34XPoJdqJde2ZeUHGw2-79jP14DUMppITmmDXmYcaxHvVx_5g1kWRBVDk
  13. The topic is about entry to Thailand. I assume most people would check to see what is required to enter the country they are traveling to. Malaysia does have some stringent requirements for entry. Source after clicking on Malaysia on the map here. https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php
  14. Maybe the agent arranged a trip for his passport to another country to get a departure stamp and new arrival stamp.
  15. I skipped 90 day reporting from April (report was due in April) to August in 2020 and did a catch up report when I went to immigration to apply for my extension. Not sure all offices were wanting the reports to be done in August. I think in reality it was only Bangkok pushing it. There was certainly no official written order to do them then. In the case of not getting a TM6 on entry if immigration wanted it for something they could give you a new one to complete and stamp.
  16. I see no reason for you having a problem entering visa exempt to get 30 day entry. A hotel reservation is not required when entering visa exempt. As a back up you could show proof you will be staying at your rented apartment.
  17. This from the bottom of the image (click the image to enlarge it). Thailand does not require booster shots for entry to the country at this time.
  18. A post containing a link to the Pattay Mail has been removed. Forum rule. "16. The Bangkok Post and the Pattaya Mail do not allow quotes from their news articles or other material to appear on ASEAN NOW. Neither do they allow links to their publications. Posts from members containing quotes from or links to Bangkok Post or Pattaya Mail publications will be deleted from the forum. These restrictions are put in place by the above publications, not by ASEAN NOW. In rare cases, forum administrators or the news team may use these sources under special permission." Edit: And now a copy and paste of the news article the link was for has been removed.
  19. If it has not been received 60 days after it was printed they will send a 2nd one to be sent. From what I understand normally if it is not received by December they will send you a letter informing you that it needs to be received or your payments will be stopped in February.
  20. A notice done by the SSA last month was posted here in the old ongoing topic about the SSA-7162 forms. Been waiting for it to appear this month.
  21. You should be able to make an appointment before your extension is due. There will probably be some days in August to do the appointment.
  22. Your visa will be valid to to enter the country for 6 months from the day it issued by the embassy or consulate. Each entry will be for 60 days. You will have to leave the country before the 60 days or the 30 day extension of it ends. You can cross a border and then turn around and return to Thailand.
