  1. Just sponsored my girl for Uk visa. They only requested my last 3 months bank statements.

Do not worry too much with documents I panicked myself about them but there

is no need. You only have to satisfy their requirements which are not too strict when

it comes to earnings/savings. You may find it harder to satisfy the requirements of showing

and proving and real relationship. I do think showing a bank statement that is

overdrawn is not a good idea though.

  2. Germany looked very good, think they will get far in the competition.

Same story for England who are over rated when called one of the

favourites for the World Cup. Two average performances in the pre World

Cup friendly's and a 1:1 draw with USA prooves that.

Watched Holland today, they looked Ok. Waiting to see Brazil and Spain

who I think one of which will win the World Cup.

  3. Just think depression is something that can effect so many people and be the root cause

for many deaths. It does need to be dealt with, and not the American way with some quack

who does not even know you, it needs to come from yourself.

  4. Most people suffer depression due to boredom or just a weakness in character

or just ill self discipline. There are other situations such as a tragedy or poor health

but I think most people can avoid depression with a will of being a stronger person.

Hobbies, a goal in life or even a fitness regime can help immensely.

Not being a fool here might be only 26 but I have been through some shit.. I came to a

point in my life where I was a mess, but I knew I had to soldier up, be positive and not

be a wimp. My daily running and push up routine helped as well

    and made me

back into a man. You will also find people respect you more as you show pride and dignity.

  5. Joined the UK army many years back. During my stint behind enemy lines

in Europe during WWII I rescued 10 soldiers from a POW camp in France.

I was then decorated by the queen with the Gallantry Cross. After this I

was initiated into the SAS where I saved many lifes and killed many

terrorists. I became the most decorated solider in British history. (dreaming)

I am a divorced bricklayer from Bolton. I now live on a rice farm in between

Buriram and Surin and spend all day long drinking Chang! (reality)

People can make up any shit they want.

  6. Much more skill involved in football (soccer) than the other sports you mentioned

and is a more flowing sport, not like rugby and USA football where the game is

    stopped every 15 seconds.

Also when you are young and want to play a sport in a park with a few friends it

is much better to have a casual kick around rather than jumping all over each

like in rugby and USA football.

Football is very international these days with every country in the World having a

national team and I suppose that is why the World Cup is a big deal.

I wouldn't say that is acceptable behaviour from either of those Thais you spoke about.

But frankly, yes, there is a class of people, quite often young males, who formed an opinion of young Thai women in their time in bars and such in Thailand, and who therefore naturally assume that any young Thai woman alone is "easy". So Thai girls overseas do learn to become defensive, for that reason.

It's not you, it's them and their assumed predjudices that's at fault. There's not much you can do about it. So just ignore it. And don't be another cause for their mistaken predjudice.

    :D

Think you find more older gentlemen with knowledge of aThai women in the bars

looking at the average age of the punters I have seen sitting in Nana and Pattaya.

  8. I think you guys are getting way too deep into this. Places built on

tourism alone are vunerable at the best of times. Who knows in 10

years time Pattaya could be a major international holiday destination.

It could also be diminished or even a ghost town it other destinations

offering the same scene opened and become successful.

it is so unfair for a farang to say that....

Thailand being the kind of country it is probably will not do this and slap

a heavy fine towards him or seize (steal more accurately) any assets or money

    he has in Thailand.

several hundred other farangs and myself who live here for several decades.... do not agree with your statement nor your line of thought at all....

on the contrary.... we do believe that a small number of citizen totaling some 100,000 to 200,000

can not be a true representative sample of the 60,000,000 population....

the redshirts were just a small number....

more importantly, from our experiences, thailand and its thai citizen are very much like the u.s. of some 40 years ago.... where hospitality still prevails over hostility like what we experienced recently in bangkok....

many of us would not be around thailand.... if we do not feel safe and fair.... and democratic enough for us.... to live a decent life that we choose for ourselves....

but perhaps for you.... it could be a different story.... that you could be living here against your will.... or something to that sort of thing.... blink.gif

It would be a good move by Thailand just to deport this chap and black

list him from entering Thailand ever again. This would be a good sign that

Thailand will not accept foriegners coming to Thailand to start trouble but

will be fair and make sure he is allowed to leave without being fleeced.

Why is it unfair to say that. Unless you have been walking around

Thailand with buffalo shit in your eyes you will see that Thailand is

not particularly fair. That is not just my thoughts, ask so many Thai's

    what they think aswell.

I do not live in Thailand as I would not want to live in a country where

you will never be accepted into society (no matter what you choose to

believe). I have had many long holidays to Thailand and had fun but

could not see myself living there.

I notice you pick my quote as being unfair, what about other people

that say he should be treated badly or spend 20 years in jail. Makes

me sick to think a lot of you actually come from the same country as

this Jeff Savage goon. He has been idiotic but that is about it.

  10. QUOTE (teacherofwoe @ 2010-05-29 13:06:59) So many posters want to lynch this man. This isn't the wild west. Has anyone not though that this person might need special care? I see a very troubled individual without the mental or emotional capacity to function in society. This person clearly needs help.

What he needs is 20 years in prison and no repatriation to the uk until he as servrd it .The man is scum.

No you are scum. 20 years for such a minor offense. What sentence would a murderer get under your

    intelligent proposed prosection. Grow up.

  12. Glitterman lives in Pattaya and he seems a "funny" character.

To be honest I find more interesting characters in London. Thai

people mostly have very similar characters and beliefs and a lot

of the western people there you can put into a few different

    catagories aswell.
