  1. I'm in a different position but I'm looking at the different ways I could return to Thailand and when best to do it. Not an easy task with the fast changing situation. Would the visa exempt 45 day permit route work in the same way if I was going to apply for a Non-O visa based on marriage? I already have the 400k baht needed for that although it has been temporarily moved to my wife's account as she receives interest but it can be moved back to mine as soon as it's needed.
  2. I heard somewhere that many in the Trump family including Donald have been vaccinated. In that case and many others the vaccine debate is largely about politics.
  3. Covid is a different type of virus to the flu that we get every year. It's more closely related to the common cold, MERS and SARS. Obviously the last two are worse than a cold. I'm not sure what you mean by "destroy the economy and usher in global reset". There has been substantial damage to economies around the world although to differing degrees but I don't see any evidence of a destruction of the economy on a global scale. This would suggest that either the plan isn't working and they (whoever that is) have failed or you are incorrect in your assumption and possibly you're blind to the facts.
  4. I doubt we'll get rid of the virus or at least not for a long time and we will see increases in infections even in vaccinated people but just looking at the infection rate isn't giving the whole picture. The UK has done very well with vaccinations but there is still an increase in infections but the number of hospitalisations and deaths hasn't risen at the same rate the last time infections were this high. The most important thing is to keep people out of hospital as much as possible to avoid swamping the health system and stop people dying.
  5. I don't know if this will appeal to real tourists but for those of us who are just returning home and happen to live in tourist areas that are included then it's great. My only question is will Mahasarakham be on that list?
  6. My wife works in the Department of Skill Development which is part of the Ministry of Labour and I sent this to her. I pointed out that it doesn't make sense to survey vacancies when you've already "proactively prepared 814,198 vacancies". I'm not sure I understand how you can do that either.
  7. I always thought the rainy season started not long after Songkran somewhen in may. My wife confirms this although the rain hasn't been that consistent this year apparently and our rice field needs more water. Given that the rainy season starts sometime in May and it's half way through August briefing on projections for August an September seem a bit pointless. As we sit here on the 15th August I wonder how accurate their projections for the first half of August are.
  8. I would have thought if were safe enough to change the rules to enable domestic tourism, which they'd have to do then the same should be possible for international visitors so long as they aren't coming from a country with a high level of Covid and are vaccinated.
  9. To hold it together maybe? ???? Don't know much about guns like that but in the unlikely situating that there's a screw through the grip to hold it together and given my experience of my family then it probably worked loose and fell out. If it were in our house it would be tied together with a piece of cloth rather than look for the screw. Anyway that's a view into my world. Thanks for listening. ????
  10. I think the problem with opening gyms is that older and less healthy people are likely to have worse outcomes such as hospitalisation or death but as far as I know aren't more likely to become infected or transmit Covid. Gyms are likely places to spread Covid unless precautions such as distancing and mask wearing are practised and rules aren't something that are always observed. It might work ok but how do you stop people who don't have the IQ required. I agree that there are many benefits to exercise.
