Sporting events, clubs and concerts are possibly the most dangerous areas, due to singing and shouting that can aerosolise the virus - making it stay in suspension longer. I think this could be a reason why so many got infected at the boxing stadium.
you left out immigration
but not to worry if farang get sick more to blame and they pay big money for hospital

Sanook reported that the Thai health authorities were urging all people to be frank and honest about their movements as the Covid-19 crisis intensifies in the country.
People should not be lying about having been abroad or having had contact in high risk situations, they said.
how about testing people instead of this nonsense
still not getting it are you
still trying to hide behind - no test no report

good to see a well thought out consistent coherent message going out across all of Thailand fully showing that the Government is in charge as they claim

how will they detect the infections if they are not testing in any significant numbers
WHO and experts around the world are very clear about this - MASSIVE TESTING IS PARAMOUNT to controlling this virus
Shouldn't be a problem for Thailand as they appointed themselves the "Medical HUB" of South East Asia - maybe the world

Trillions have been made already from this disaster - petty mainstream media doesn't reveal what a "short" is and who is making billions from it
It would be a real eye opener for the masses if they only knew
Mainstream media only report on the markets in meltdown - they ignore the other side of the markets - shorting trillions and making trillions

Whereby or according to you they re in a better position than 99% of us.Homeless, skint, burdened by their 2 infant children, 8,000 miles from home, in a foreign country where there's a crippling virus, travel bans, Illegally working (possibly)..... And once this situation improves, it's then most likely no funds for their airfare back to the UK. Then where upon arrival they ll be homeless, skint, and at the end of a very very long queue for anywhere to live.I now dirt farmers in Isaan whom are ten fold better off. You must move in strange circles.
when you quote a post within an already quoted post the name gets delinked from the original post, if you want to quote a post go to the original post not a quote of one - you will see my name attached to the post you quoted - I didn't post it

They just sold their car and house in Devon so will be sitting with millions of baht in the bank. They should just enjoy the next few months of holiday in Phangan and when the world returns to normal decide what to do. They are in a much better position than 99% of the rest of us.
after reading the whole article I'm not sure you have that quite right
2 Adults 2 very young children - no were near any sort of retirement age
I think what they did was quite careless and not thought through - what they are dreaming of doesn't exist in Thailand - maybe they were impressed with the simple island life but Thailand is far from simple when you consider all the red tape they will face concerning visa's etc, I hope they can get out of Thailand before spending their limited nest egg - it won't last long here with four of them
There are much better options for them to consider - Thailand isn't one of them

The government are now admitting that the only reason that the number of cases has grown (and hovered around the 100+ mark) is due to the number, or lack of, tests. No-one really knows how many cases their are in the remote parts of Thailand!
been saying it for weeks
also how many people that die are being tested

I think India and Pakistan will be hit the hardest but will generally go unreported because it will be so out of control that there will be no way to track it

In the UK you only get tested at the moment if you end up in hospital pretty much, and you only end up in hospital if you are close to dying. However 5-10k tests are still done every day, compared to Thailand 500hundred or so
That is incorrect - go check again

maybe a carrier and symptomatic.
Your right of course with symptoms not showing for 4-5 days but can still spread the virus the chain of contacts quickly gets untraceable.
There was a report that even after people have been cleared of symptoms they could still infect others - news report on Skynews a few days ago
