the unique Pattaya expat, that strong individualist, that rush in where angels fear to tread, with their Vin Diesel and I just got out of prison looks are standing up to the virus.
we here in Hua Hin are washing our hands every time we walk from one room to another.
you must wash everything you touch and someone else is likely to touch lol
Been to Hua Hin - just as mucky as Pattaya

Why are some local Governors issuing these orders now, if the figures issued by central Government are correct including the claim that the virus is plateauing? Where is the PM? Most other nations have daily broadcasts by leaders or top politicians on the current state of play, but not Thailand!
are you asking who is in control 555

What a load of nonsense, midnight gatherings at 7-11s ?
All this does is push those people wanting to buy necessities into a smaller opening window, creating more human congestion and therefore...
It would actually make more sense to keep them open 24 hours, so the visitor load can be spread out.
that would be sensible but on the other hand a lot of these 7/11 are not so busy right now so maybe fairer to staff - I know not the reason given but by pure luck it might be the right thing to do

I must say NCC1701A, that virus mask - covering your face - looks awfully like a bar-girls undies.
Have you been approached?
Mask shortage - a possible substitute - Thai ladies bra 2x masks possible - you might look like a tit
Panty liner 1x mask - you might look like a (deleted)

The very first infection recorded outside of China was in Thailand in mid January - a Chinese national from Wuhan
How a preemptive nuclear attack on China right now as that is pretty much what they have done on the rest of the world
when this is all over I think China is going to end up very isolated and so it should be

Too easy to play this game.
Lets be real.
Hypothetically, ONE popular "entertainment worker" can cause catastrophic damage on fun-town.
and that infected super spreader Thai is highly likely no longer in pattaya and has (deleted)ed off to spread it up north amongst their own friends and families

Misleading headline. This story is based on just 15 cases.
perhaps the Thais infected have left or cannot afford or don't want to be tested
It would be helpful if they gave movement details of those tested
But the message is clear - foreigners even though they are only reporting a very small sample are primarily responsible - the can of worms they are opening will not be forgotten
There are thousands of Thais have left Pattaya - I wonder why and how many infected

Thailand has done 17,829 tests. Phillippines only 3303. Have a look on wikipedia COVID-19 testing.
wikipedia ?
I could have written that myself - I want official figures as they are important to provide a complete picture of what is going on in this country

absolute rubbish - they are blocking their own citizens
No country in the West would block their own citizens - they might ask them to do some stuff once they arrive but "block them" you are taking nonsense

here we go again - blame those pesky foreigners while the whole thing started in China and Thailand allowed them to enter unabated for weeks - and my current understanding is they still can - but don't allow Thais to enter - your own citizens - how ** up is that

well they won't reach those numbers unless you test for them otherwise people just died of ........................... something and got something
the right question to ask this so called "senior health minister" is - how many tests for CV-19 have actually been done in Thailand ???????????????
UK are doing 10,000 per day soon to increase to 25,000 - the rest of the west are also testing huge numbers along with Japan S'Korea Malaysia and Singapore
WHAT ABOUT THAILAND ???????????? the self claimed Medical Hub of South East Asia - How many tests have you done ???????????????

i have a current 1 year non-o extension based on 400K. can i get a 60 day extension on this instead of another 1 year? i have the funds and docs for a 1 year but i do not want to take my 2 toddlers (both thai) and their thai mother to any immigration office under current circumstances.
i do not feel its right to put my whole families lives at risk, thai citizens as well when, if i was a tourist, i could just go myself.
last year i was in the office for 2 hours. try keeping masks on a 2 & 4 year old for more than 2 minutes! unlike my wife and i they also won't have proper fitting N95 masks just cloth <deleted> that will not prevent any infection.
leaving the kids with someone else is currently not an option.
I feel you, it is a big problem
two places I most want to avoid right now
- immigration, I will use an agent for my "legal" 12 month extension (4k baht) until this all goes away
- any hospital
