Thaksin Shinawatra's imminent homecoming: A risky move for Pheu Thai
zzaa09 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
But you're still not sure of what criminal activity. And......turn a blind eye the current [and decades long] military/loyalist rulers who are clearly corrupted criminals in their own right, by their very nature. Whataboutism gone wild. -

You might be surprised as to the number of forced/voluntary exiles that have had to flee because of suspected or made up charges and accusations, as Thailand has a long and colourful history of such activities. Perhaps these bogus scenarios might apply to the Shinawatras as well.....or not. Classic psychological propaganda might be the twisted culprit - something that is repeated often and loud enough, naturally it all becomes real and true. -

I believe most are thinking that anything would be an improvement at this stage of the game. -
Nine-Year-Old Prayut Regime Coming To An End: Academic

You'll be waiting a long time for such an event [mass revolution] to come about. Thais aren't truly that everyday repressed, as they really have no reason to rebel. -

Exactly. Pot...kettle...black and these things. All of the said charges tend to contradict themselves in falsehoods. -

Oriental Barbarians.... -
Actually, the establishment has controlled and managed the MSN forever here. With that in place, over the years there has been a broad variety of independent/alternative sources [mostly IT] available that the ruling oligarchy can't dispose their will upon......though they have tried with failed efforts.

I might correct you [and most others] regarding your take on 1932 events [military/civilian coup] and the false history presented. Definitely, had nothing whatsoever to do with creating a democratic state - just an exchange in repressive regimes. Do some real investigative and objective research on the subject matter. This ever-repeated dreamy domain of the beloved and bookmarked 1932 is most amusing to observe. -
Though, not to be outdone, the U.S. is the overwhelming champion of highly deluded and fanciful economies - and more than in trouble with more and more countries abandoning their ship. BRICS [and associations] is just the tipping point.

All of a sudden such random and highly selected instances make it an issue. These undocumented foreign [regional] workers have been integrated into the Thai workforce forever......without incident. -

.....as they're all presently controlled and managed by the same highly illegal Junta gang - so makes sense that they wouldn't be eating their own. Imagine the possibilities of a solid opposition majority that might see it fit to pursue criminal charges towards the illustrious and criminally organized coup makers/Junta. Though, in our hearts we all know that would never come about. Which should really shed some light on the truer nature of the "opposition" coalitions. -
A more realistic reflection of the AN membership and regular participants.

Nothing about the military-controlled dictatorship is democratically in any form. Agree regarding Khun Thanathorn. Wondering if the new coalition would ever consider lifting his ban from political participation........ -
Thaksin Shinawatra's imminent homecoming: A risky move for Pheu Thai

Well.....actually there is. An illegally placed and operating Junta that designed his and his sister's forced exiles is preventing his [their] return. The same illegal and immoral circle that dreamt up charges [whether guilty or not, doesn't stand as a legal writ] of reputed distinction..... -
But they're already free, independent and largely self-sufficient - and have been for quite some time. Observe their everyday lives and community and you'll witness this democracy [whatever that is] that you speak of.

Promoting the grand return should be their next play. Then the pardon. Which would be followed by his entry back into the Thai political machine. Purchased five kilos of popcorn this morning.
