If you used to sell cellphones then you should know that Huawei did make very good cellphones until US did not gotten enough money from them , since they were 100% Chinese . They blacklisted them so they could not get access anymore on the playstore . They were gaining marketshare very fast . I can look up the exact numbers but they were speeding along with great phones for the money . After the ban , things have gone downhill fast . You can't just take the micro SD card from my phone and read everything , since you can choose where the data goes , and my phone works perfectly fine without SD card . If they can take my card , well they can also take my phone , and personally idc what the government is gonna read . True , but the numbers were nowhere correct . With Omicron , in Europe daily numbers were untestable high with over 40% positivity rate . You can see a trend in the numbers . Even if the numbers are 10-20 times higher , the trend of positives should also rise fast , together with positivity rate . Many countries in Europe are now over the top and are seeing fast dropping numbers , basically because last 6-8 weeks so many have been infected that the virus can't find a new victim anymore .

Sure Thailand is a holiday destination . Remember Spain big in holiday destination in 80s/90s after other holiday destinations took over like Turkey , Greece , or further away destinations like Thailand but also Caribian ( Dominican Republic... ) , and so was said that glory days for Spanish tourism was gone . If Omicron is the cause of the rise , expect rapid rising numbers . If thats the case , all is over in roughly 2 months , meaning , most have had it , and a lack of new people to get it , means also rapid declining numbers .

It is not about clean or dirty , EV are far better technology then combustion engine . That is a fact . It can be cleaner also , in fact , you can even make all the electric in your own house needed for some daily commuting , but if not , electric engines are still way better then combustion . I know 3 people with Tesla model 3 . 2 of them had to go in for repair under warranty , different reasons . His brother is living/working in Singapore and he comes a few times a y to Thailand , before covid . This year he visited but he needed a PCR test again to go back to Singapore . He went in to a testing facility ( i think it was a private hospital but i am not sure ) , anyway they just asked what he wanted , he said Negative PCR for flying back to Singapore . They made a negative paper and he was out . Is this story true , idk , but i do know where the story comes from and i do know many things in Thailand can be done , so i believe the chance of it being true is very high . The 1st day test is higher risk of being scammed then the 5th day test imho . Is it a risk , yes sure , travel in these days is not for faint heart , but after being in Europe for +2y now , i am ready to take some gambles .

After not being able to come to Thailand , after looking at it , it might not be the best but it is doable . If it all stays like this , i will come in May . Let me explain , i see it as sort of a quarantine without being locked inside room . You enter Thailand , get a test , since you had a test before flying , and not willing to be infected , you make pretty sure to avoid all risks before going . The airplane is a gamble , but masking as good as possible (ffp2 , worn good ) , is pretty safe . After that 1st day test , just stay safe , go to a shop , get some drinks , some food , and go back to the room . The 5 days like that are a breeze , not real holiday , but pretty ok . This makes the test on day 5 , unless really unlucky on the airplane a pretty good gamble . After that , you are free to go anywhere and have the holiday . I hope it changes to a even more relax schedule , but it is possible to do for many people i think .

Not to forget also , uneducated .As far as i heard , you can get vaccinated easy in US , even get paid for it in some places . So being poor or capitalist is not the reason , being uneducated is . Hospitals can only try to fix something which is already broken , if they were vaccinated , they would not be in that spot .

I replaced a Sharp aircon due to sound issues . After a while a wining sound came from the indoor unit . Cleaning did not help the problem , and finding a good resource for fixing was also not ready available ( i did not look too hard ) . I kept it for a couple more years , since the cooling was ok ( and most of the times i sleep with earplugs anyway ) .

I would come also , In fact if it was PCR test and insurance alone i would be on my way pretty fast . Now i am aiming for May/June , in the hope that regulations are PCR test on day 1 alone .

Let me read that correct .... In Thailand , latest numbers .... +/- 8000 covid cases a day . Not bad for a population of 65 million . I mean , looking at western countries and you see 10s of times more cases , even countries with much less people inside . Here i read 12 MPs and 13 parliamentary officials having COVID-19, ... damn they must be very very unlucky there in parliament .... PS in Belgium , my country , heavy infected for last few weeks by Omicron , with +50k of infected daily ( positivity rate +40% so many many more undetected ), and 6!! governments ... for a country with 11mill people , there are only 1-3 people in government confirmed positive at certain point in time . Idk who is lying , i just make observation .
