All free visas should cease and all tourists wishing to travel to Thailand must get a Thai visa in their countries before they even get on a plane. This will never happen as all that matters here is the amount of money these trouble makers spend. I first hit Pattaya in the year 2000 it was a really fun place then but now it's nothing like it used to be. If you took a bar girl for 24 hours it was 500 baht plus a 150 bar fine. Beer in a bar was 35-40 baht, a carton of large Leo was around 350 baht. Everything was much cheaper given the exchange rate for all of the major currencies where much better than they are now. Even though I'm not from the UK I must admit that their exchange rate must be the worst hit. In those days the UK pound was 84 baht.

The best thing to come out of Pichit is the main road back to Bangkok. Seriously I was there 20 years ago and for a tourist it was devoid of interest, In saying that my Thai wife thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tourists have such a wide variety of accommodation and baht buses in Pattaya so why do they need to rent motor bikes. If a tourist is staying to far from his favorite bars then they should seek accommodation close to where they drink. Alcohol and motor bikes can be a lethal combination as is the case every night in Pattaya for whats supposed to be a fun vacation.

Years ago when I lived in my Bangkok town house my wife's' 10 years old grand son used to stay with us every weekend. So every Saturday evening my wife used to make french fries for her grand son and his friends and supply them with bottles of Coke. I used to sit out the front with an ice box full of beer. This was going well until a mob of teenagers arrived all covered with tatts and thought they were going to take over the party. So I calmly walked back inside and picked up my shot gun with that my wife told them that I had killed before using that same shot gun. I never seen guys run so fast especially as they all thought they were Thai muscle men. There were never any repercussions as my wife told them the shot gun is always ready for trouble makers.

With Skype ending late May this year I'm looking for a similar replacement. I've tried to make a call using Mytello but so far I've been unsuccessful. So what is the correct way to make a call using Mytello?

I do receive net codes but not for online sales. I've also tried it with with 2 other debit cards from Thai banks and I have the same problem.

Hi there, I've lived in Thailand for the past 24 years and I never had any problems when using my Aussie credit card for online purchases. In recent months I've needed to renew my annual subscriptions for my antivirus and other programs. That's where my problem starts, I can enter all the details but then it cuts off so I don't get a net code to complete any these transactions. Has anyone else come across this problem and is there a way around this? The bank in question is Commbank. Thanks
