I initially signed on for 3 years in the British Army ended up staying 22 years best time of my life (and at times worse) though I wouldn't change it taught me a lot, my father grandfather and great grandfather were all navy. I now have one son in the navy and another in the Royal Marines so you could say it runs in the family, I would sign up again tomorrow if I could though I am probably even too old for Dads Army now. I think conscription of some sort should be compulsory for everbody right now sooner the better probably between the ages of 18 and 25. Not necessarily part of the regular forces (they dont want them) could be a sort of reserve force set up specifically to train them I would suggest 6 months full time or 2 years part time. That would be just about enough time to teach them the very basics (like which end of the weapon to hold). It might even get a few that find they actually enjoy it and decide to join the regulars

These illegal immigrants were not in dire straits fleeing for their lives they were in France a safe country. They know if they cross the channel to the UK they get free accomodation a free phone free clothes food and money every week. It must seem like a dream come true. Except its not free I and everyone else in the UK paying our taxes are paying for them. About time the government passed a law anyone arriving from a safe country is automatically barred from claiming asylum and deported. They are not fleeing for their lives they are economic migrants out for whatever they can get 50,000 so far this year and for everyone who gets permission to stay there could be 20 other family members waiting in the wings for a visa. Apparently they pay thousands to the gangs supplying these boats for a place in a boat. Where are they getting the money from or who is giving them the money to come and for what reason. As much as I dislike Farage and think he would be a disaster if he ever formed the government if the situation hasn't drastically changed before the next election I and millions more like me will be voting for him.

Anyone entering the UK without the right to do so or a valid visa is committing an illegal act i.e. breaking the law committing a criminal offence. They should be treated as criminals and arrested then deported not be put up in hotels if the police/immigration did that the boats would stop.

Its become blatantly obvious something has to change. The government has to bring in new laws to give the authorities the power to stop it. Anyone and everyone entering illegally should be treated as criminals and locked up util they are deported. Round up all the ones already here and deport them. Use the Army RAF and Navy to deport them if necessary stop any legal actions by passing laws to make any legal protests null and void. Tell any international courts to get lost and just ignore them. Unlesss drastic action is taken it will not stop

I think they should all be sent to Ukraine and made to spend at least 2 years with the Ukrainian army before they are considered for processing. I'm over 70 living in the UK and I agree with it though it should be for everyone not just over 70's the old condition of being able to read a number plate at a certain distance is outdated. I feel there should be a new test for over 80's regarding cognitive ability and reaction times. They are also considering banning newly qualified drivers from carrying passengers that I don't agreee with what I would suggest is all new drivers should be limited to a speed restriction which heavy penalties for exceeding them do it twice and automatic loss of licence and need to start again take a new test to get a new licence. Speed is the main reason for new drivers getting into trouble experience comes with time.
