yes this restaurant has a fantastic reputation with quite a few chinese in bangkok for its peking duck, and i have tried it a couple of times there myself and it really is excellent

i dont know the last cabinet date before the house disolves but if nothing is finally cancelled before then, then it will be left to the next government to either carry on cancel the programme or let TAT carry it on

i would just try and negotiate the price with the landlord, something like 4,000 baht to upholster the couch, thats 1000 baht from each of you

no way should you pay for a new couch, its crazy, and the landlord is just abusing this situation

if the landlord did some damage to your couch, guarenteed he would offer to upholster the couch himself for maybe less than 4k

4k sounds about all you need to pay for a 12k and old couch for upholstery

moonshine joint in queens park plaza a hop and skip away from bourbon has a free christmas dinner buffet, maybe sportsman and bullys pub will also have good grub on xmas day but at a good value price, its really the hotels who go way over price for xmas grub

they are quite a few others everyday like finsyrus and cgs, i really wouldnt know how good or close there are in the everydau scheme of things, maybe some of the more technical guys will show these reports are balony, which is fine by me, i just posted the link as it shows a uptrend for true for the next 8 days, i dont know why i look at these things, maybe its just a routine that everyday i look at maybe 20 reports thai and english and check all daily set press reports

i did notice that today it was as if everyone was in wait and see mode and quite a few small caps leaders came into play again

at the close i bought ivl01ca and tta13ca, the way the market is moving i might be down by 20% on monday or up by 20%

hi chuck, as your example on 100k baht its works out at 150 baht for comm and about 10 baht for vat, i just tried to work out for the 100k value, thats on making orders yourself, as for allowing the marketing officer to make the trade i know its more expensive but i dont know the figures

the platforms at kimeng would be pretty similar to that of bualuang the broker i use , i think that all brokers intergrate their platforms with set trade, so on the portal it has options for streaming pro, streaming plus etc

for stop loss, just to be safe using it, if thats the requirement at a certain moment i would tend to have a marketing officer put the stop loss in place, just i havnt seen stop loss on the older platforms, maybe they have on the newer platforms like streaming pro and streaming plus, but i find the newer platforms just a split second slower in the execution and on thursday for me that slowness cost me a couple of executions, and stop loss lines is something that my broker keeps on hammering down my throat every now and again, as per i bought ps13ca at 1.29 baht thursday and it finished thursday 1.13 and today hit a low of 1.03 and finished at 1.25, monday it looks good for a follow through , thats where stop loss lines could have spared me from a loss of a trading day

i visited perfect place to look at some rental properties about 12 months ago, they seems to be a lot of thai investors looking to rent out as its near the international school and quite a few sales mainly due to it being a little old now and maybe some thais who bought it at the brand new stage are maybe looking at selling and moving into a newer development thats what i would reason to there being a few houses for sale and rent

i can only think it was some virus attached to one of the webpages i put under favourites but which url i wouldnt know

every time i click on a new web page i get this small box which says message from web page and then in the small box it says,

and when i click it continously it goes away, is there some way of erasing this , i hope someone has seen this same problem before and managed to erase it and so i hope pass on their experience, if so that would be fantastic

They just said they are going to transfer some money from the company to the owners, us share holders of the company, and suddenly the price of the stock raisied. Fundamently nothing has changed but thats the flaw of fundamental analyzes. Google up financial behaviour or prospact theory and you will see what we deal with. Humans have human behavior and thats why ADVANC went up today not because of fundamentals.

a while back on this thread a few of us were saying that advanc was the stronger stock in the telcos sector due to the rumours of there not being any 3g this year then advanc would pay out a special dividend

i havnt been trading stocks for a while been trading the derrivative warrants on the set, but every day without fail whether its usefull or not i always check the days press releases in the morning and afternoon and also the daily managment stakes holding changes, sometimes it can help especially when what may seem a strange price movement may actually have good reason to move

i have a few rabbits i am no expert on this subject so i just let them roam around the place, and they have their area for water and food, the dogs i have do have a home to sleep on but the rabbits it seems care less about this aspect, maybe if i had a large garden they would burrow into the ground and create homes, but i am looking for home with garden, but at the moment when there are just roaming about the yard and home they just settle and rest anywhere, i would have thought the best bet would be dog homes and use as rabbit homes if you wanted a home, as the dog homes have so many different designs and structures, they have those nano kind of acryllic homes which have comfortable beds inside etc to wood structured homes etc to other structured designed homes ,as yet in bangkok i just have never seen specific rabbit homes

uac last week jumped as any price movement is what people are willing to buy and sell within the boundries of the regulations of the exchange which is what happened with the uac stock, it never breached any rules or regulations,

the problem is the sell off wasnt due to reality check by investors but by the SET once again making negative statements against thai retail investors saying they are looking into the price movements of uac, well this is the second time in 2 weeks the SET has come out against thai retail investors .

the SET is seen as a political vehicle for the facisits in power, they and the SET view large returns by thai retail investors as a threat since the coup in 2006 those in power feel some of this money will trickle into opposition hands, now this has been the same in russia and china, but essentially even in china ipos can go up 10 fold, its just that the SET is starting to make the same waves it made in 2007 after all the other negative events at that period and then after the market was calm the SET came out with a number of ways to curtail the enthusiasm of thai retail investors which caused a huge reduction in volumes by thai retail investors for a number of months

so for the rest of this year and 2011 this is something to keep an eye out for because the volumes on mai and small caps and mid-caps are mostly from thai retail investors, and in no way do i think its game changing just something more to add to the melting pot going forward

i thought the ipo next week was gungkal or gunkol, something to do with renewable energy at an ipo price of 5.40, interesting to see if it follows the uac stock price of doubling in 4 days or if its held back by worries of more controls by the SET

ukem if i remember had a share split and change of par value a while back hence the low satangs per share, also it issued warrants which for some small caps keeps the share price down

yes there is a small organic/health food supermarket which is very popular with thais near khao san, as you go towards gullivers end of khao san turn right where the police station is and keep walking on that side of the pavement and along that way you will come to a alot of street stalls selling many thai foods a few hundred meters from the police station and that is also where the supermarket is.

UAC ipo is it an ipo price of 4 baht a share?, then the rollercoaster ride of the first few days opening will probably duplicate a casino run, honestly it could do just about anything, from skyrocketing upwards for 3 days or opening at 6 baht then falling for 3 days, really its anyones guess, you would have thought it has some sexy stories behind it as its attached to the big petrochemical companies in its business dealings, and with the positive comments by korn this weekend , then maybe next week will be better all round than last weeks negative sentiment, if you going to play that UAC stock then good luck

Anyway for me this coming week i will be looking at UAC to see if it opens in a lackluster way to see if its worth putting a few rubbles into it, also mint-w4 as it dropped quite severley but the underlying equity mint is quite strong and looking at tvo as soybeans crop output in the us has dropped quite considerably along with some of the derrivs but staying on the sidelines as some derrivs may fall even further as alot of thai retail investors got spooked last monday with the set presidents remarks on maybe looking at more controls on thai retail investors, so looking forward to this week and just waiting in the wings to pounce and hopefully no more negative comments by the set to spook investors but then we have the spectre of fear mongering by the millitary of attacks which could be staged managed or not but still there will be a slight overhang regarding this over the next couple of weeks

in a way it is a scam as they have put the customer in what is basically an old utility or old maids room and charged foreigners 14k a month for the priveledge, now you can argue this is thailand or you can argue that they somehow made the room liveable or paid back some of the deposit, but 14k for an old utility room in the service quarters of the builing is a scam

the set atmosphere has been very much subdued and will probably last the week due to rumours on capital controls and rumours on more controls on thai retail investors, now if it was just the capital controls i am sure the set would be having a better time of it today but the double whammy rumours by the set and bank of thailand in unison on monday dampened the market for this week, thats twice they have dampened the mood in weeks, so lets see if they try any rumours in the next few weeks once the market finds its feet again
