  1. many so called hi so thais are schooled in england and us at the elite boarding schools etc they have a very good grounding in different cultures and quite a few have married with partners who are non-thai

mostly its the middle class thais that most foreigners would be in contact with in bangkok and because the middle class try to copy the rich classes they sometimes act or play the class system game trying to make others look beneath them

the elite bloodlines of thailand go back 1000 years which roughly coincides with the introduction of the thai language and class system brought to these shores by aryan bloodlines that are still around today like the bunnag family

the white skinned chinese immigrants who came over in greater numbers during chairman mao s murderess ways has led to a more whitter skinned middle class of today and also upper class but still alot of the hi so thais arent as white skinned as the new middle classes some of who have become fabously wealthy but dont have the historic important bloodlines as the more pronounced so called hi so s

  2. the shrine in onnut i went their is basically the rembrants of the house along with canoo style boat next to the klong. it had a about 300 people waiting to pay their respects, maybe now the movie is no longer in the major cinpelexes the wait is down to 50 people

funny movie better than the average thai comedy

  3. if you have a foreign currency account you can send money out of the country and with a few stockbrokerages will also send money out of the country through their corresponding banks, then you have the foreign currency shops especailly like super rich that will transfer money out of the country.

  4. you see it at paradise park and central bangna with young israelis young selling from stalls in the isles such products as dead sea beauty scrubs and creams, i havnt seen it in central bangna so maybe its just safer immigration wise in those centres to get away with it

  5. bangkok becoming a place that most districts will have some sort of restaurant serving wine, whether its just a local hangout or an upmarket wine bar, take your pick, each district now has italian food, japanese food, all sorts of small pubs live band restaurants, most areas will have some sort of place to drink wine at an affordable price, the best bet is to get away from the idiot box for a few hours and take a stroll around and see whats around

  6. thank god there are many kind people feeding soi dogs like the guy in the village, you make sound like you haver to be some kind of warren buffet to feed and give weater to homless animals left by small minded thais who give animals little human rights., there must be an area away from your home that you can leave food and water so it lives around there and not near your home, in fact it sounds like you already know that

  7. you blame the dogs for this, what a loon to think to blame the dogs for being stranded by thais, sometimes being taken miles by cars to be dumped in the middle of knowhere by their ex-loving thai owners.

i bet you would swerve for a human right?

if you want to do something, help the local charity for dogs newt them, help them find safer places to live

instead of acting like the hard man running over animals thinking its ok because hey thats what the thais do

even the <deleted> aryans 5000 years ago had rules on how to reer pets and reer animals for food, you would have thought even the thais could learn a few ways, like that

  8. thats the point isnt it

that more thais need to care more about animals welfare, instead of just leaving pets stranded on motorways or on sois because they lose interest in owning their pets,

only twisted morons on this site can blame pets or soi dogs for wandering around without any home

most days i will give soi dogs/ cats fresh water as thats one thing that most people forget, sure you see many kind people give food but also fresh water is just as needed for these animals

  9. what a sham by the const. court. what an absolute disgrace, these judges should hang their heads in shame, oh but wait a minute the excuse is protecting the country from? oh yes the const court accepted spurious claims to attack an elected government voted in by a majority from the masses of the country because the const court judges chosen political party has never won a majority. in any election.

  10. also the people who go through garbage also steel dogs, if its a soi dog then they can sell it for meat, but if its a pet they can sell it on for another owner etc

if aryans 5000 years ago could produce rules for rearing animals for pets or for food, then i cant see why thais should have any excuse for the way they treat so many animals

its one thing i cant stand in this country

  11. well for those a little squeemish, you know the ones always negative against anything the elite card well did anyone read the article yesterday in the business section of the bangkok post?

makes for very interesting reading for the future of the elite card

now i undertsand that bangkok post articles cannot be posted so i wont post it, but i think people should start to understand that it could be the start of a new dawn for visas for foreigners as lets just say, having a visa because someone is 50 years or over in my eyes is a little twisted when people from all ages groups can offer just as much to a country

  12. aree always been a great place to live, tree lined sois, a village like atmosphere amongst the residents

the area begins really between soi 3 and soi 11 phayonthin, you can argue the sois are not aree sois, but they all part of the same area, with many great places to eat drink, it doesnt have any large nightclubs, but it has over the last few years had a few pub reataurants down soi 5 phayonthin.

basically its an area of wealthy thais who work in the government, police force and army and banks with a few tv stations, because thats whats near aree, army bases, house of parliament, etc

its a great location to get around bangkok, yes the bts, but also by car its easy to get to the river, dusit, rathcada, khao san, ladprao etc, then you have the higway entrance just off rama 6 the back way to soi 5 phayonthin.

anyway who thinks this area is crap is a moron

  13. as duan has stated, i also remember this, as it was stated by a sunbelt asia lawyer on this subject on thaivisa and it was then posted in the royal gazette to become officially a law or something along those lines, so as the sunbelt lawyer at the time had access to information that very few would gain the same access too, would it be possible that the law is still active or they passed a new resolution to abandon this law and we just had no notification of it

i also dont think that customer service staff manning the callcentre will know about the visas etc, if as some state it could be cancelled then what happens to the visa already in the passport if it say expires in one year or 2 years, would be the same as if you have a work permit and then leave the job so the permit instantly is cancelled or would they still allow extensions up unitl the expiry of the 5 year visa in your passport and no longer allow re-newels

there really is alot of unaswered topics here and if there is alaw still active on the 5 year visa then what happens to that law

  14. of course tpc should drag their heels with the last loony government, it was politicallly motivated to try and pull down the programme and just before the new elections when they knew they would lose the election they accelerated their reactions on such issues like tpc like spoilt bratt children trying to wreak havoc before they hand over their toys,

anyway is their any need to patronise other xpats with the' you dont know how things work here blah blah'

on a seperate note they are still re-newing the 5 year visa, i had mine renewed recently and it took approx 10 mins from entering the room at suan plu to receiving the new visa in the passport, the first visa took around 40 mins, and this time i didnt even need an assistant from tpc, just went along by myself with the appointment already arranged
