There is no clear info on whether I can do it at any DLT or not. If I could, I would get in Pathumthani but I am not in that jurisdiction.
You can do it at another DLT. For example, my district is closer to DLT Bangchak in Bangkok but I renewed my DL in the Cha-am branch which was friendly and not crowded.

The 2L bi-turbo rates better than the old 3.2L. Take a look at the model comparison videos on Youtube (there are many focused on these models) for an informed view. The Everest fairs better in the Youtube reviews than the Fortuner.

Work colleague of my wife recently asked for a loan as she had missed 2 payments and the company were about to repossess the car. She ended up borrowing from someone else.
Yes, that's also in line with the regional bank/finco car loan practice which is for repo efforts commence after 2 months past due.

They only have one condo project: https://nyeestate.com/condominium/project/650dc7c1-277d-489a-9923-5876f9083fd0
Yeah the 2 projects mentioned in the article that are in Sukh. 31 and Sukh. 39 are both 'landed projects' being over-priced townhouses at 50MB+ each, so they would not fit within the Elite Card proposal. Both projects were completed a couple of years ago so only the poorly situated lots remain.

Been using it regularly for the past 3 years, and has always worked well for me. It's regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority, and they recently received a restricted banking license in Australia. So governance should be fine an y ou needn't worry unnecessarily.

Yes, that is correct, I did not even notice until you asked. It was the passport number on the old one as I've had the license a lot longer than I've had the pink ID.
The Pink ID card shows your name in Thai language only, so did they print your card with your name in Thai or English (if so, I guess they used the translation from your expired license)?

Went this morning to make an appointment only. Reception checked doc's,,, short story
had my licence renewal in 70 minutes.
Immigration could learn a lot by looking at their computer software & protocols instead of
still using rubber stamps
Which DLT branch did you visit?

I signed up in Thailand, but subsequently amended my residence in their records from Thailand to Australia so I could get the TransferWise Mastercard Debit Card which I found a useful. Currently they don't offer their debit card to Thailand residents.

Don't get me wrong, I am not implying the OP is Belgian or not, just out of curiosity please correct me if wrong but I was under the impression Belgian nationals cannot , for some reason, apply for OX Visa...
Correct, Belgium is not on the list 14 nationalities that are eligible to apply for the Non O/X visa.

Many years ago I used Suwat International....... located in Glas Haus Building.
I've also used this firm a few times, was about 800 baht per page 5 years ago. Wasn't necessary to make an appointment, got it done on the spot within about 20 min.

"It is the height of the season in Pattaya, one of the biggest moneymakers in Thailand’s tourism boom. The Gulf of Thailand is an obliging ultramarine, the sun sparkles brilliantly and the coconut palms along the beach even manage to seem sultry. But no one is frolicking in the water. The beach is almost deserted. Although there is not a single warning sign along the one-mile strip of Pattaya’s beach, word of mouth has effectively spread the word:
Pattaya’s water is dangerously polluted."
Read the whole article, it's quite an interesting snapshot of what Pattaya was like (and why) 30 years ago.
https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1990-01-14-mn-297-story.html
My first visit there was almost 29 years ago (Songkran 1992), and it was well known that the water was quite polluted. I recall there was a warning about this in Lonely Planet guide at the time.

Don't want to start a new topic so I will also ask here as its related. Is Allerax-FC same as Atarax?
They are the same. However, Atarax is no longer available here so my pharmacy provides Drozine instead (each are hydroxyzine hydrochloride 25 mg).

I guess what you would call old bars are all gone, Cheap Charlies, Check-In, And the old favorite Golden Beer Bar at Nana Hotel. Hilaries is still around but new and not improved. The string of Bars under the express way have been gone for a while and the Saxophone Bar Victory Monument. O well the beat goes on.
The Saxophone Bar at Victory Monument is still around. The closure they announced last Friday is only temporary due to covid according to their website.

Yes good to have got it done last week. However, the remark that "Other services are still available such as applying for a replacement license or a 5 year driver's license" indicates that (some?) DLT offices may still be processing renewals, since a 5 yr licence is a renewal (although involving limited physical tests). I will try to clarify directly tomorrow as my 5 yr renewal is due next week.

Richard Barrows has just tweeted:
"The Department of Land Transport has announced that there will be no training or testing to obtain a driver's license at all offices from 2nd January 2021 until further notice"
My DL expires next week, so I guess renewal not possible until further notice.
On the Barrow's thread his followers are arguing that the DLT would continue to issue DL's but with out any tests, due the poor wording of his English translation (surely they're joking)?. Upon checking with a Thai person it means (which I thought was obvious) that no DL's to be issued/renewed as the tests cannot be performed due to covid risk in the DLT offices.

As far as I remember the info about it was on the website of the Sydney Thai Consulate 2-3 years ago.
I did have a look at it, but decided to go with O-A, I don't stay all the time in Thailand and the shorter term visas are more flexible for me.
Yes I also recall the Thai Consulate in Sydney having the O-X info on their website a couple of years back. Anyway, they refreshed the info on the website last month so the details for O-X application are now displayed: https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/non-immigrant-visa-type-o-x

The responsibility for the annual audit and statutory filings rest with the Directors, not shareholders. I think you should simply ignore the summons. (Since the shareholders were changed 2 years ago without your knowledge or consent it would seem that your ex may have forged your signature on the share transfer?)

The beach in the Soi 67 vicinity is much better (cleaner/more sand) than north of the Hilton. If the place in Soi 67 is decent, and the beach quality is an important factor, then stay where you are.

Can renew up to 12 months after expiry date; yes single non-o is okay.

Try 'SSS Windows' (based in Pranburi) but used by quite a few expats in Hua Hin and Cha-am with good reviews.

all you need is a proof of address for each licence and your passport with a valid stamp in it, and, you just have to sit through a pointless video before renewing.
As regards to Pranburi vs Cha Am, I've now used Pranburi 3 times and never had a problem whatsoever. Always had good and fairly speedy service there.
No mention or requirement at DLT Pranburi to do the reaction / peripheral vision tests as well?

You would be better off going to the Cha Am office. I always go there.
Since Cha-am is in a different province (compared with Pranburi), is the DLT there happy to accept renewal applications from people outside Petchaburi province? If so I think I'll renew there after my licence expires in a couple of months time.
CABB - experiences?

I used a CABB taxi an hour ago. The price for my distance was very similar to a standard taxi, being 54 baht for about a 2km journey; We caught the taxi from the designated CABB taxi stand outside Gourmet Market Emquartier, Sukh Soi 35; I'm 180 cm tall and had at least another 15 cm before my head would touch the ceiling of the vehicle whilst seated in an upright position (sitting with a reclining posture would be difficult given style of seat in the vehicle) ; There were buttons on the inside fo the door for opening the window although we chose to continue using the aircon and kept the windows closed; The perspex partition is substantial although there is a small gap for arranging payment, and they did not accept cash, with payment being made efficiently through iBanking app on my wife's phone.
