This hospital in Bangna might be of help. They are a well regarded psychiatric facility.

A broker put me onto April about 8 years ago. It was a specific policy for expats in Thailand/Mekong Sub-Region. The broker recommended them staying that they're governed by French law and therefore more reliable than Thai insurers. However, the premium would increase by more than 20% p.a. without ever making a claim. When I mentioned this the broker said that's because most of the insured expats were elderly retirees with the inference that they would be making regular claims.
So I switched to an insurer with a presence in Thailand (LMG) a few years ago where the premiums are more stable and jump only when you pass into a higher age bracket. (Also they give you a proper plastic member card whereas with April I had to print out a paper membership card which didn't give me much confidence if I had to present it at a Thai hospital).

Since quite a few agents deal only with annual extensions for retirement, you should state whether you're over 50 yet. If over 50, then you have more agents/options that could potentially assist.

Which Land Transport Office, and which Immigration Office are you dealing with?

Skype phone number is not possible for Thailand.
Correct. So the skype number that I use for the overseas bank is a Sydney/Australia prefix (i.e., +61 2) as the bank is based over there. Therefore they call me on my Australian number and I answer their call on my iPhone in Thailand on the skype app.

I call my overseas bank's phone number using Skype from Thailand. I subscribe to a skype phone number, (same IDD prefix as the bank) in case the bank needs to call me back (the bank call will come through skype onto my phone or computer in Thailand unbeknown to them). There is some cost involved but this is minimal when compared to using a traditional phone.

If I do a transfer in the morning between Monday and Thursday, I typically receive the funds in my BBL account at 2:01PM. However, I have found that if I send on a Friday morning, I don't receive the funds until Monday afternoon.

You'll probably receive better informed advise in the Health/Medical Sub-Forum, however, perhaps you should arrange for a 2nd opinion on the diagnosis and the medication. If you're in the Bangkok area, the Manarom Hospital in Bangna is well regarded for mental health issues.

I did this 12 years ago but from Singapore to Bangkok. I shipped all my personal belongings including used household goods etc with Asian Tigers Movers in a 20ft container. My employer then paid so I'm unsure of the cost. I was not required to pay any customs taxes for the release, however, I believe that a (cash) handling fee was paid on the Thai end to facilitate a smooth process.

BBC reports that it's Sainz to Ferrari, and Ricciardo to McLaren.
Yes I just read the confirmation of Ricciardo joining McLaren. I think he's a good fit for the McLaren brand and will generate some fun and attention being paired with Lando. The rumour I saw today is that Alonso is to replace Ricciardo at Renault.

I will contact those phone numbers which u gave in ur first reply CharlieH ;
And,- thank u for that specifically too.
However,- I allow for particular person from these offices innocently not knowing about such a facility [ alleged "green form" ] that :
"may have been" in operation
"is" in operation.
So, for "redundancy" / "supplementation" sake,- I welcome responses from posters who have knowledge about the "green form" discussions.
Regrettably,- a search in Thaivisa.com did not produce results for "green form".
With regard to the aforesaid query seeking clarification of the so called green form, I can affirm my belief that it most likely refers to the Certificate of Origin (form E) under the China ASEAN Free Trade Agreement. This enables the Thailand importer to attract a lower tariff under the FTA. My firm has used these in the past with regarding to the importation of specialised machinery from China. However, we had always utilise the services of a customs agent to handle such formalities on our behalf. (NB: In the original form was white with beige font back then, and the triplicate counterparts were green).
I profess that I'm unaware of using the form for personal (non-business) imports.

Announcement today by Thai Airways of a return to daily/weekly flight schedules for over 30 international destinations from 1st July indicates an improvement is anticipated in the next quarter (subject to loosening up of quarantine rules one would suspect).

It may contain no alcohol but it is a lot higher in carbohydrates than regular beer and not dissimilar to a soft drink like Coke. So might well negate any benefit to your liver, if that is the goal.
I bought some from 7-11 during 'prohibition' a few weeks ago. Since I hadn't had a beer for a couple of months it tasted okay. However, I was perusing the can for the info regarding carbohydrates, fat, sugar content etc and all the standard nutritional stats were lacking. I had (mistakingly?) thought it would be less carbs than alcoholic beer.

As a heads-up, I read today in the TransferWise official FB group that due to a regulatory issue with Thailand (and Malaysia), TW will need to cease doing transfers for customers with Thailand (or Malaysia) verified addresses. It's certainly late notice and I haven't yet received a formal notification from them advising of this, but they are saying in their FB group that the last day that you can do THB transfers, if you are registered/verified with a Thailand address, will be 14th May.
However, if your verified address is overseas (e.g., EU, UK, US, Canada, Aust &NZ, SG etc.) then you can continue doing THB transfers as is.
For those affected, the solution would be to request TW to verify an overseas address, if you have one.

I have spoken to my lawyer and investigated everything luckily my name isn't on the papers HOWEVER I asked what would happen if i had been on the papers.
First you are going to be served a huge amount of paperwork. Some of the papers they send will have your name as well as over a hundred other people on it as they do services here inbulk.
You will be expected to show up in court abut 8 months later. If my name was on the papers and I did not appear in court my lawyer told me then I would be charged and the police and immigration would be notified.
Upon notification the immigration would have the ability to "politely" tell me that i was no longer wanted in the country.
The house and property is put up for auction and if they receive enough to pay all the bills then except for a credit hit that is that. However, the bank does have the ability to file to put you in bankruptcy and seize all your possessions up to the amount owed and any costs.
I have a friend going through a similar experience this year. Unsure why you would be "charged" as the matter should be heard in the Civil Court, not Criminal Court so Police should not be involved. In my friend's case it is being presided over in Bangkok South Civil Court, and if the Court finds in favour of the creditor/plaintiff, then the plaintiff enforces the judgement debt against my friend (the debtor/borrower) which would likely trigger the bankruptcy process. Immigration would be notified to prevent absconding (as he has a surplus of assets over liabilities anyway, he's unlikely to abscond...just needs time to sell off 2 mortgaged condo's.

Presumably dealers in non-legal substances would be getting a bit of a boost in demand now by folks needing a fix to ease thoughts of their current woes who can no longer down their sorrows in alcohol.

I got the same sms...that figures. I think the only hope is to go to a main new office, if not HQ and try to get it straightened out..how about that office near Sukhumvit soi 1, or is there a good office to go to for farang. Just about zero English spoken in Nonthaburi Office, and that made it easier for them to brush me off, but by now they know damn well about the name match problem.
I plan to go to MEA Chidlom office this week to try and sort it out. I'll take my Thai wife, original passport from 12 years ago when my MEA account was set up, my latest passport, my Non-Thai Pink ID Card (13 digit), screenshot of the online refund registration, and my BBL bankbook in order to try & prove to them that I'm the same person.

I don't think most Thai DLT's would accept a doctor's certificate regarding eyesight. If you wear glasses take them off whlst doing the peripheral test, I have bad eyesight but found the peripheral vision test easier to pass without glasses. Whilst you're standing in the queue waiting for your turn to do test watch the other folks do the test and look for a pattern in which the lights change colours then you may be able to predict which colour the light change will be if your peripheral vision is poor.

Update:. I rattled their cage at MEA, today. They told me my BBL refund would be in May. Thanks for the email confirmation..not, thanks for the email update..not, thanks for processing my request in a timely manner..not....
Did you manage to speak to MEA on the phone, or face to face at their office?
I received an SMS from MEA this morning asking me to re-register & ensure that my MEA account name matches that with my bank account. My MEA account name (in English) is in passport format, i.e., Surname, First Name, Middle Name; whereas my bank account name is the standard format of First Name, Middle Name, Surname. So I have a conundrum in trying the prove to MEA that it's the same person.
Unfortunately, it seems my 12K refund is destined for the too hard pile.

For popular sports models you have a better chance of buying one through reputable re-sellers in Bangkok (rather than the AD's) such as Papaya Watch (in Central World & MBK) and Cherry Watch. They update their current stock daily via their instagram accounts. They sell both new and used items.
On 20th March Papaya Watch listed a Pepsi with jubilee band (new 2020) for 5xx,xxx baht.
How (relatively) safe are thai banks, and are there any guarantees for deposits?

Indeed. The 5 larger Thai banks are considered 'systemically important' and would therefore receive government support in a severe crisis. In any case with regards to 'the ones in the middle' they would most likely also receive government support unless the bank failure was due to for example, a substantial internal fraud. You can look back at the fallout from the 1997 financial crisis and the progress since then, with a relatively strong regulator in the Bank of Thailand and all Thai banks compliant with Basel III international banking accord with regards to systems, controls and capital management. Additionally, even mid-size bank such as Tisco have been able to maintain investment grade ratings by Moodys etc. As mentioned by some others in the thread misappropriation of funds by bank staff in some branches is a risk particularly for accounts with very little activity.
