Hardly anything worthwhile eating on that degenerate strip of shops.
Kaneng excluded but I wouldn't be surprised if its them because they can be really painfully slow.

Never deal with an Expat owned company here.
Lie, cheat and steal better than any thai.

Would kill to get my hands on a chicko roll, preferably one that has been sitting in the display all day.
Gets that crispy ends. Mmmmmmmmmmmm

More Muang ake and Rangsit university pics.
It's a real mess and no signs of the water going down.
-
Villa market had some a while ago, on the magazine racks closest to the meat section.

Tresonous act against the suffering.
Hey Froc, get the froc out.

It's not safe.
There is so much water building up because they won't open the gates to save the city swap.
It's coming no matter what they do and it will be bad.

Very grim at Muang ake housing estate and these pics were sent to me from my old friend who owns the place.
Up to 2.8 meters there and getting higher.
The first picture you can see the whole lobby and courtyard of this apartment building underwater, from floor to ceiling 2.8 meters, many stranded inside and just for a indication of how deep it is, the electric transformer is 3.5 meters off the courtyard ground
The second pic you can see the sois are full to the top of the housing walls and making peoples front yards look like swimming pools.
These were high walls that you would need a ladder to scale. I'm amazed.
The water isn't moving at all and just rising slowly and people are stuck with no electric.
I'm not a religious man but i pray for them.
Where is this at? Can you post a link to Google map?
Great pictures by the way.
There you go.
Everyone knows it's rising due to the gates not being opened in Bangkok as they try to protect it but their patience is running out as it keeps rising daily.
Army were by the building earlier and took 3 students out of there by boat as they were expecting another 1.3 meters.
This will get worse before it gets better.

Roof are a good group of architects and quality construction.
Not one problem and the house is 5 years old.

At least you get some peace from the angle grinders and loud music.

Any news about what happened to the owner of the porsche and the family of the victim so far ?
I think some followup from reporters would be great in this country. These type of news often fall into darkness after few days of publication and nothing is learned by the people.
EDIT: Maybe not really the right time to bring this up, other major things are in the mind of people at the moment but still some updates would be important I think.
He paid the family of the victim money and all is forgiven.
Police get some drinking money, family get more money than they will ever get in one lump sum and the driver gets his freedom.
End of story.

Just ordered a box of kwak.
150 each is 100 baht cheaper than most places.
Finally a useful service but boozetooyoo tried and failed so I wish them the best of luck.
I'll make my judgement after I see how they handle the logistcal side of the business.
I like Kwak as well, but it is different without the glass. Just see they also have Orval, also an excellent beer IMO.
So true and that's why i have my own one at home.

Does anyone know the full extent of the flooding in muang ake?
Has it flooded between the army HQ and vipawadee rangsit?
-

Good weather a week before the official high season starts and its a long weekend in Thailand.
Factor in the people leaving the floods in bkk and that would explain the busy airport.

villa supermarket at ho,e pro Chalong has a good range in stock end even have a catalogue to order 1000s more.
They have the new star wars 9 dics collection for 5000 baht and that's roughly the same as eBay.

Regarding this TTM-JSM topic, does anyone else feel like a dog chasing it's tail?
Same story, different rag.
Let the place sort out itself out, eventually change will happen but I'm afraid someone might have to lose their life at the hands of these goons before we see real change.

Hahaha.
Jetski operaters and beach workers being recruited as tourist police?
Surely this can't be true.
This is laughable and will cause more problems than solving them by giving the scammers even more police power.
Happy high season..

I am a Highway Police Volunteer from class 5 in Phuket, April 2010. Of 160 graduates, more than 2/3 are Thai Nationals. So do you not like Police Volunteers in general, or is it just farang voluntees, in other words just a racial thing?
I don't like farang police volunteers. Their motives are always suspect.
Either they love the uniform, love the power, or, are trying to get some insurance should they ever have a problem with Thai officialdom.
They say they just want to help, but, I'm far too cynical to believe them.
I came here to post something similar but you nailed it.
What's sadder is that they think they are respected for their work when it's a thankless job that only the bored mid life crisis retirees take on.
Anyone seen that foreigner in the black fortuner, covered in tourist police stickers driving like an ass hat?
Hope to see it wrapped around a power pole in the near future.

I was wondering whether the Karma Lounge is any good as it seems to be one of the best live music venues in the area...?
are we talking Karma lounge, corner of Patak road and a soi going down to Karon beach north end, traffic light junction?
Yes that's the one I think, if it's still there..
If you like lady boys, it's fine.

It's irrelevant because everyone just speculates what the courts will do but if this mafia son that's still free to influence the courts through his father, who knows.
At the end of the day, these scumbags will be stuck in 3rd world Asia for eternity as arrest warrants through interpol won't go away and will be arrested once they land in a country with a functioning democracy.

Using the term Mongol is probably more offensive than the picture.
Mongol is a native of Mongolia so i'm not sure what that has to do with a happy down syndrome.
