Any restaurants serving brown rice?
spidermike007 replied to AsiaTraveler1234's topic in Health and Medicine
I've always wondered about that, the reality is that 99% of Thai people are utterly fascinated with white rice, despite the fact that there's virtually no nutritional content, and it's absolutely tasteless. The brown rice here is very good quality and some of them are absolutely delicious, so why wouldn't someone prefer absolutely delicious to absolutely tasteless, and very nutritious to completely devoid of nutrition? The answer is that Thai people don't seem to have that education about nutrition, number one, and number two is that brown rice is going to be requested mostly by foreigners, who know better, so it would have to be a restaurant that caters primarily to foreigners. If you're in a resort area like Samui or Chiang Mai it's quite easy to find brown rice in a restaurant. -
Fortunately I'm not living hand to mouth. Granted things are 15% more expensive than they were a few months ago at 37 and change to the baht to a dollar. But that was a short-lived pleasure, and at 33/1, I don't feel that I'm at risk of becoming homeless, nor being able to live a rather delightful lifestyle. So it is acknowledged and it is felt but it's not a crisis.

Shocking Revelations at Sean Diddy Combs Hamptons Sex Parties
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
One of the most serious allegations has been made by his ex girlfriend which seems to have prompted the current arrest and prosecution. The Rolling Stone article lists a list decades worth of violence and felonious, thuggish behavior committed by Combs, however the question that comes to mind for me with this current lawsuit is that she alleges years and years of abuse, yet I don't believe that she was being locked in a cage. And in theory she could have left at any point in time so I'm always a little bit more suspicious about the spilled beans cases, after the fact. Having said that the man is likely guilty as sin, and should be locked up for the rest of his life. On Nov. 16th, Combs’ ex Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed a federal lawsuit against Combs in New York alleging years of assault. Her lawsuit contains graphic allegations of Combs raping her in 2018, physically abusing her, intimidating her, and making her have sex with male escorts while he watched. The lawsuit also alleges that Combs blew up Cudi’s car to deter him from seeing Cassie romantically — through a rep, Cudi said the accusations are true. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/sean-diddy-combs-controversies-timeline-1234889043/ -
What really comes to mind is why aren't most nations doing this? I believe that there are certain lines in life that once you cross there's no coming back, and I believe that there are certain acts that you can commit in this lifetime that are a self-revocation of the right to consume oxygen. So the question is why aren't more nations willing to deal with these parasites and vampires in a more effective and more aggressive manner?

Harris-Walz Campaign Opts for Media Silence as Election Nears
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It's an interesting strategy that's for sure, it's obvious that the Trump - Vance strategy is not working, as they continue to put their foot in their mouth daily, and they continue to shoot themselves in the foot daily, with their ridiculous and completely false ranting. Having said that, I think it would be wise for Harris to not only take interviews but to take interviews by hostile interviewers, on hostile networks. She would really be able to show what she's made of if she was able to come out of those interviews looking good. -
Shocking Revelations at Sean Diddy Combs Hamptons Sex Parties
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There's no question that this guy was a major super freak and there have been super freaks throughout the ages, with a lot of money to burn and a lot of influence. Who have an awful lot of fun. Where he crossed the line was into coercion, rape, and acts forced upon people who were unwilling participants. That is what degenerates from wild craziness, into a sewer of moral depravity. Lock him up. -
Not only was he not robbed in 2020 but he was humiliated by Biden and he lost by more than 7 million popular votes. People are so tired and so disappointed after 4 years of his tiresome presidency they were thrilled to get a breath of fresh air. On top of that there's much evidence to point toward him having stolen the 2016 election, as the voting base in many states were highly manipulated, and the GOP engaged in major crimes to get him elected. Everything about the man is illegitimate. Lock him up.

Police probe teacher recruitment mystery
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Police should probe their own recruitment methods and why money is required to purchase a promotion and merit is never a consideration. Then they should prove the administrator and do the same. Then they should probe customs, immigration, all tambon, state and federal recruitment. It is all the same. Filthy from top to bottom. No promotions without payment. Corruption, at all levels. A completely broken system. -
What is your issue? First of all, that is not the topic. And secondary we are talking about old men with cognitive decline. Both have it, but Trump is relevant now, as he is running. Duh! And he has it badly!!

Rotterdam Stabbing Rampage Knifeman shouted "Allahu Akbar"
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Something must be done to keep out the extremist super freaks. Their religion may work for them in Saudi, Kuwait, Yemen, Sudan or Somalia. That same ultra conservative fanatislcism, is not wanted, needed, nor desirable in Western nations. Only moderates need apply should be the policy. And there should be a standard of willingness to assimilate, and the burden should be on the family to prove the burden is met. I believe immigration policy should be reformed to the point where it should be staged, and all Muslim families should show a willingness to assimilate. I also believe that families with Muslim daughters who are teenagers can start by proving that they have participated in a mandatory 2 piece bikini contest, with no face covering, by the age of 16, and for teenage boys they must show a burden of proof that they're not affiliated with any of the local imams, or madrasas. Are we serious about keeping our nation's safe from extremists, or not? -
Baht's Biggest Surge Since 1998 Poses Risk to Tourism And Exports
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This not due to a stable and efficient economy here. There are many factors pointing at major economic issues. Exports are down, new and used car sales are way down, property sales are down, and consumer confidence is down. If the baht remains at these levels for a sustained period, there will be damage. Tourism will likely suffer. So will exports. -
Well I truly believe that and I think that it did show that the man had some honor and respect for law. However as we know, vice presidents just don't do that much, so my point is that anyone faulting Harris for being an ineffectiveness VP, either doesn't know much about American politics, or is just mimicking the GOP meme.
-
Well I might not go that far, as I hate that term, but it's more than likely a transactional relationship and it was likely that from the very beginning. A woman does not fall in love with a man like Donald Trump. She just decides, for whatever reason she will spend time with him, but you don't fall in love with a man like that. There's nothing about him that's lovable, there's nothing about him that you can respect or honor, or adore, so you cherish his money and his fortune, and his promises to you that you will get some of that. But, there's no point in any of us pretending that there's more to it than that.

Can you break down all of Mike Pence's accomplishments as VP?
-
Yes. Clinical delusion.
-
Yes. What could possibly go wrong with a room full of insane and extremist people running the government?

No. It is a fad. And as soon as Trump becomes irrelevant in November, the stock will be $1 a share. -
Yes 100%. In my opinion he started to fade in the last year of his presidency. He may have had a minor stroke. Since then, it has been a steady downhill path. Far less coherent than in the past, very hard for him to continue a sentence for more than 15 seconds, alot of rambling, complaining, playing the victim card, and juvenile name calling as usual. Even most of the CEO's he met with a month ago were shocked at how lacking his message was. He is in the beginning stages of severe cognitive decline and it's a horrific thing to watch, he's an increasingly dangerous man and having him as the oldest elected president in history would not be a good thing. He rambles on and on, and it is easy to discern that he has a very hard time maintaining a thought for more than 15 seconds. He is, and has always been the master of slogans, and memes, but the public is just getting tired of the same game, day in and day out. He does not possess the creative juice to adapt, and that is absolutely killing his campaign, at this point. He is headed for the greatest humiliation of his lifetime. He's old, he's tired, he's now the oldest person to ever run for president, he's feels like he's 85 or 90 right now, he seems to be losing interest, he seems to be losing the plot, his message is getting tired, he has no ability to dance on his feet and be creative, and adapt, and he just seems to be disintegrating before our eyes, which is a beautiful thing to watch. And now, he seems to regret his choice of Vance, and seems very stressed out over Harris. Can't blame him for that. He does seem to be imploding.

Krabi Airport: Woman Lying on Baggage Belt Inappropriate, Not Illegal

Inappropriate, dumb and she likely needs a good slap up the side of her head. Bet it was for an Instagram shot or prank. Society is declining. People are getting dumber. -
Trump vs. Taylor Swift: A Battle He’s Bound to Lose
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The real issue now is that JNNP Trump (just nasty, no policy) has no message. He is a broken record, and people are getting tired of hearing the same juvenile no sense every time he speaks. He does not have a plan B. And he is incapable of adapting. This is just who he is. One game plan. Super nasty, all the time. The people want more. Alot more. Harris/Walz, no matter what you think of them, they're giving the people hope, they're giving the people something to believe in, they have a positive message. That's what people want right now and Trump and Vance are both incapable of that. A warning from a Trump ally and supporter. He does not listen. He does not care. He hates too much. From the NY Post, a Murdoch paper. It would appear they are losing faith in these goons. Tread carefully when it comes to women, including Vice President Kamala Harris. All signs point to a tight race in November, and the GOP ticket is already behind with women: In five battleground states, Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Harris leads by 9 points or more with the ladies. Closing that gap may be an uphill battle. Even if Trump were ahead, it would be foolish to ignore the power of women voters: About 7.4 million more women than men were registered to vote in 2022, according to the Center for American Women in Politics, and more women than men have voted in every presidential election since 1964. Besides, the chance to vote for a woman who feels like a relative newcomer will almost certainly attract female voters who sat out other elections (or even some of those who pulled the lever for Trump in 2016 because they couldn’t stomach the alternative). Sure, there are plenty of women who want what Trump and Vance are selling: school choice, parental rights, a better economy, safer neighborhoods and a more secure border. But this is a different political landscape than 2016, and both Trump and Vance need to keep on the straight and narrow to avoid alienating female voters who might otherwise agree with them on policy. Maybe Trump should start by quitting hurling derogatory nicknames and ad hominem insults at his foes. He can ding Kamala on policy without making crass comments or veering into petty pot shots about her looks or gender that might make women balk. He and his running mate must certainly avoid missteps like the one Vance made in 2021, when he blasted “childless cat ladies” who run the country but are “miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made.” He also foolishly suggested penalizing women without kids with higher taxes. For real? Vance’s comments resurfaced recently and spread like wildfire on social media, drawing backlash from even conservative women. Trump and Vance need to reassure women that they take them seriously as a voting bloc, and they have no interest in pushing national policy that controls women’s decisions on family matters. The GOP ticket knows women will play a major role in deciding this election — perhaps they should start acting like it. -
Her background is a bit cloudy. As transactional as Trump is, it is very possible he hired her as an escorts. No proof, just speculation. Nothing wrong with that, just saying. Some guys have the courage to admit it, some don't. What is more significant, is the degree to which she dislikes him.l now. She slaps away his tiny hands, she won't ever touch or hug him, and it is likely they have not been intimate for a long, long time. Perhaps that answers why he would be hanging out with Looney Loomer. Yikes. I cannot even imagine what it would be like to live with a woman who is dislikes and disrespects you. Though, she has ample cause for it.
