  1. You simply cannot say Trump and truth in the same sentence. And you cannot support Trump, and then pretend truth matters.
  2. My favorite quote from that article. Theoretically, all that stuff could have been fixed with a little more diligence and focus in the lead-up, but Mr Trump has always been a fundamentally lazy politician. He doesn’t care about details, and he doesn’t do his homework. He’s the kid at school who shows up on the day a book report is due and wings it without having read a single page. That was fine when the person opposite him was Joe Biden, himself too blunted by age to provide a challenge, or Hillary Clinton, reviled by a hefty chunk of the country, or even when he faced the other candidates for the Republican nomination in 2016, most of whom had as much charisma as a toaster. It wasn’t fine today. Kamala Harris, as you would expect from a former prosecutor, had quite obviously prepared meticulously for the debate. Of course she had. When you are a woman at the highest level of politics, you don’t get to skate by on bluster alone. So true. And a lazy man who refuses to prepare for a debate, would be a very dangerous president.
  3. Harris was cleverly baiting him, and he lost the plot. He started spinning. Not good for a debate. He was bloodied and beaten down. There were certainly some classic moments, nobody knew that lots of dogs and cats were being stir fried, and devoured in the Midwest by hungry and unruly immigrant populations. I was also unaware of the fact that Putin invaded Ukraine because the US withdrew from Afghanistan and left a lot of equipment behind, that came as a surprise to me. I also thought it was $7 billion worth of equipment, but Trump insisted it was $85 billion. I also found the claim that Russia will exit Ukraine either right after Trump is elected or possibly even before he even takes office, rather impressive. I was also very surprised to learn that if Harris gets elected Israel will cease to exist as a state within 24 months. I was also surprised to learn that both Harris and her father are practicing Marxists. But, then again all Democrats are Marxists and Communists, right? I was shocked to hear Trump's claim of Biden creating the highest unemployment since the Great Depression, however I looked it up and it was actually Trump that had 14.8%. Granted, some of that was due to Covid. I was very surprised to hear that they had a baby execution system in place in Virginia, however I looked into it and found out it was a statement that the former Governor, who is a doctor, had made about a nonviable fetus which is born, and then rather than put it on a useless life support system, the parent decides to let it go. I guess I understand the confusion as Trump himself doesn't really know where he stands on abortion, and since not putting a baby on life support which is not going to live anyway would not be considered an abortion that even adds to his confusion. I had no idea that Harris wants to support transgender operations on illegal aliens that are in prison that was absolutely shocking news that an ever reliable and honest Trump delivered. It was very refreshing to hear that Trump still has the biggest rallies in the history of politics and that nobody ever leaves his rallies early out of boredom. I had no idea that the companies that Trump imposed tariffs on, while he was president, paid the actual tariff on products that were imported into the US. That came as a complete surprise to me, I thought it was the American consumers that were paying the whole time, and was an added tax. And I also thought it contributed to inflation, and helped to start the current inflationary cycle. It was very shocking and alarming to hear that the immigrants that are coming into the US are coming directly from prisons and mental institutions. I had no idea that all these countries were emptying out their prisons and mental institutions and directing those people to travel to the US. Are they supplying them with GPS devices? I was shocked to hear that Harris was responsible for the January 6th attack on the capitol and that Nancy Pelosi did a poor job with security, so I had to look into it again, and I found out that the speaker of the house has no capacity when it comes to Capital Security, nor does she have any capacity to turn down a request for National guardsman.
  4. How can someone married to this Goombah demand truth? It would be like Nixon demanding honesty, or Hitler demanding understanding between the races. She has no credibility. Zero.
  5. People are used to Musk saying very strange things. I think there's no question the Musk is a brilliant man, but he does not seem to be a particularly great businessman, and he reminds me of someone else in that his statements always seem to be the equivalent of shooting himself in the foot. His outbursts about sponsors and advertising on X was the height of stupidity, hubris, arrogance and ignorance. And it definitely seems to be coming back and biting him on the butt. Not that you're looking for advice Elon, but I would suggest in the future that you don't antagonize, insult and piss off the people that support you monetarily.
  6. He was bloodied and struggling for oxygen 5 minutes into the debate. Stir fried dogs and cats? Huh? Utterly unhinged and she baited him very effectively. He cannot help himself.
  7. I had a custom leather couch done at S. C. Leather. They have a factory showroom in Bangkok. It is an exquisite sectional. High quality brown leather. Done to my specs. After 6 years it looks like new, with the leather worn in just a bit. It is ridiculously comfortable. Comparable couches were 100,000 baht and up. This was around 30,000. Highly recommended. Look them up.
  8. His debate performance was an embarrassment, even by the low standards one must apply to his minor, declining intellect. Stir fried dogs and cats? Israel will no longer exist 24 months after she takes office? I will end the war in Ukraine, possibly even before I take office. Dictators are wonderful. She baited him, and he swallowed hook, line and sinker. What a goon. What a fool. He not only lost the debate, he got knocked out cold, in the first 5 minutes. He was struggling for oxygen. He deserves to lose.
  9. He is only $1 now. A cheap ornament. Hollow and vapid.
  10. That's a good one, this situation is so bizarre that it demands comic relief. When you have two inferior candidates, and one absolute goon, it must be looked at with a sense of humor, so thanks for that.
  11. That was just one tiny instance that demonstrated an astonishing degree of ignorance that this man carried around every day while President, he refused to read the daily briefings, he refused to take the word of his National Security advisors, and he refused to listen to his military experts. Why? Because he always knows best, because he's always the smartest man in the room. That's what made him such an incredibly dangerous man, and that's just one of the reasons why he must be prevented from another 4 years.
  12. You certainly raise an interesting point, there's nothing about him that's presidential, and there was nothing about him that was presidential during the four years he was president. He was truly a disgrace to the office with the way that he behaves, and the extraordinary lack of dignity, grace, and elegance the man possesses. At this point it's really just a question of the independents and the ones who are undecided, because it just does not seem like anything that happens, or anything he says is going to sway them. They're going to support him come hell or high water. They are defending the nation against communism!!
  13. Well Fox is still doing their best to defend Trump and his policies, but when Trump fails as miserably as he did during the debate, they simply have to speak some truth in order to retain some credibility with their viewers. They are correct in stating that Harris was very effective in goading Trump into losing his cool and going completely off the rails, they are also correct in saying that he never smiles (and that he appears to be a very bitter and grumpy man). Harris won handily. Now let's see if it makes a difference with the undecided voters, the polls over the next few weeks should be quite fascinating.
  14. When a man behaves as Trump behaves, and when a man says such utterly ridiculous garbage as this man consistently says, when he lies and distorts facts to the extent this imbecile does, he invites satire. This post was pure satire. Surely you understand that?

Good try Big Don. I guess you still don't understand that truth is truth, and facts are facts. Fortunately, some of us have access to the internet, and can look up the details.
  16. The government goons do not want us here. But, perhaps ex-pats should be given a bit more credit, in this formula? We do bring in alot of stable income. Even the rural folks benefit. Alot of the nicer houses in the poorer farming areas were built with money from expats. Alot of trucks, cars and income is from expats. Countless business employing many. To say it is insignificant, is a blatant misunderstanding of Thai economics. Thousands of hotels, restaurants, countless airlines and many tour companies, also benefit. By comparison, an average ex-pat spends how much per month? I would say alot of us spend 50,000 to upwards of 100,000 baht a month. I know I do. No value in that? I know some live on less. However, since the average GDP of the nation is around $570, that means about 20,000 baht a month? I think xenophobia is utterly rampant, in all segments of the government here, from the feds right on down to the local amphur. However, I do not think most Thai people are that way. I think most either like us, or are indifferent to us. Which I can handle. To the contrary, I think ex-pats should be treated with the kind of respect and acknowledgement we deserve. We have decided to change our policies, and we now realize how much you guys bring to the table. An immigration officer will now come to your home to renew your visa, to show our appreciation, of your continued support. You will only be required to sign one form, and we will give you a five year, multiple entry visa. Free of charge. And we will include a 10,000 baht voucher, good for any hotel in the country, for one year. Princely treatment. Thank you so much for helping to rescue our economy and our people. We appreciate it, and aim to show it for a change! We are past the era of thugs like the big joke. And we apologize for all of his abuse. We realize we have been moving the country backwards. And Covid has given us all some time to reflect. We are going to start changing things, and attempt to move the nation forward, instead of backwards.
  17. Redundancy. I use it alot and if one is slower, I use the other. And the cost is so minimal. Also, for some bizarre reason True fiber is very fast, but much slower for downloads. TOT is blazing fast for downloads.
  18. 650 per month. 1gb down, 500mb up. Fiber. Very solid and very fast. They seem to have changed their name to NT.
  19. Harris clearly won the debate as she came across as being both intelligent and coherent, and Trump's dilly about the dog smorgasbord in Ohio was classic. That was one for the books and I think even people on the fence will look at that and say, whoa, I really didn't think he was quite that insane! The real question though is will it make a difference? Trump supporters will not budge from their position, it doesn't matter what he says or does, it doesn't matter whether he loses or wins the debate, it doesn't matter whether or not he's a felon, or a rapist. The real question is the independents. Will Harris be able to move the independents enough to create a significant margin, and be able to win over both the electorate and the useless Electoral College? That is the big question.
  20. If this is the threshold for approving that you are tax compliant, then a simple bribe to an immigration official would suffice to continue maintaining a no taxes paid status. Right now we can bribe them for just about anything so why wouldn't this also apply? It used to be that you had to use an agent to get around non-compliance on visa issues, now you can do it directly at nearly any immigration office.
  21. I don't think they care, I don't think they give expats very much credit for the money that we bring into the economy, and I don't think they care whether or not they lose us. I don't think they have enough vision to see what we contribute, and it's very likely that the government tolerates us, but doesn't really want us here.
  22. That is very funny, Bob was a guy who would post daily and his posts were the most irrelevant, obnoxious, and truly meaningless posts on the forum each day. So a very significant number of us became very tired of him, very quickly. After making us all aware of how wealthy he was and how important he was, he announced recently that he was leaving Thailand, and he would no longer post on this forum. I think many did not take him seriously and expected him to pop up with another name, this is very amusing. But don't take the jibing to heart, it's just all fun and games, if you post something that's really trite and irrelevant you're going to be accused of being Bob!
  23. I use both True fiber and TOT in the home, and both are super fast, all day. And a great value. Cost is about 25% of what I would pay in the US. And faster. Plus I can download. Same applies to my phone. 8x the speed of my cell in the US, at 23% of the price.
  24. Trump absolutely adores Putin and worships him on the same level as Kim and MBS. He loves and envies dictators. There is also a very good chance that Putin has kompromat on Trump, knowing his background.
