  1. To say the man is deluded would be an understatement. His basic lack of understanding of world geopolitics is scary. And he adores despots and dictators. He is a very dangerous man.
  2. Not buying anything this administration is telling us, at this point. They are illigitimate, and have zero credibility. No way to know if any Thaksin news is real. So, it has to be immediately dismissed as fake news.
  3. No, no, please don't. I have friends who know younger Russians. And they say they are kind, friendly and progressive. I have no idea what percentage of the population these younger people represent, nor how representative they are of the Russian population. Personally, I have met very few friendly Russians. Anywhere in the world. The vast majority of Russians I have met, seem to have very, very few redeeming qualities. It is no wonder. I can only speak from my experience. Have run into alot of Russians both in the US, and on Phuket and Samui, 98% of them seem to be grumpy, unfriendly and gruff. Some of them are downright hostile. Likely a reflection of a very, very rough culture and environment. Now, with the genocide against Ukraine, perhaps it is not a coincidence that the world is not standing up to support them and show them kindness? Just an observation. Some appear entitled, but I do not think it is a sense of entitlement. I think it is a reflection of the current culture. It was destroyed over a century of callous and murderous leadership. Stalin, Lenin, Khruschev, now Putin. They have become somewhat savage and crude. No grace, no finesse, no courtesy. Rather uncivilized. My family was from Russia a few generations back. I used to ask my great-grandmother when she was still around, why they didn't teach us anything about the old country. She would give me this look, and tell me "the reason we never teach you about the place we came from, is because the place we came from was the most horrific country on earth, it was the most destitute, horrible, oppressive place and we were thrilled to finally get out of there and leave it behind. That's why we don't teach you about the old country, the old country doesn't exist for us".
  4. As very good fit for the oppressive and a sadistic army here. Hun Sen himself was the mafia in Cambodia. He was a money grubbing, power hungry, land grabbing multi billionaire, who stopped at nothing to maintain his power, and amass more fortune. In addition, his resume includes many years as a commander in the Kymer Rouge, where he engaged in serial killing. Quite a leader. He is getting old, and is paranoid. His personal security detail numbered over 5,000 men. There are countless people who want him dead. He corned the media and silenced his critics just like the Thai army does. The real scandal, is why all the western power are complicit in his crimes, and have always supported his brand of fake democracy? Where is the condemnation? Where are the sanctions? Where is the UN in all of this? Now, he has passed the baton to his son with a fake election. Another despot ruler. What can one say?
  5. It appears you are correct. I researched it some more. Biden is no hero of mine. Neither are the dems. I just prefer them over Trump, who I consider a human catastrophe. The US faces two terrible choices. The Taliban are a nightmarish group of serial killers, rapists and thieves, who pretend to believe in something. In reality, their brand of fake Islam gives them a license to steal, rape and kill. They are total thugs. Those clowns would not know a Koran, if it hit them up the side of the head. All the religion part is, is simply a cover for their gangs. They deal in heroin and meth, they kidnap and rape young girls at will, they steal, maim and engage in serial killing as a hobby. There is no religion or spirituality in their game. All of that is simply a cover for their gang banging activities. The withdrawal was a long time coming, and it appears they had plenty of time to deal with it in a manageable manner. I have relatives in the military. They all say the same thing. If Bagram Air base was left fully functional, while a coordinated effort was made to withdraw all Americans, Allies and Afghans who helped with the war effort, it likely could have been accomplished successfully. In addition, there was no reason to leave 20,000 plus Humvees, 2,000 plus pickup truck, billions in weapons and equipment behind, or to not have destroyed all that stuff. Why just hand it over to the Taliban? The Afghanistan of November 14, 2023, is far worse than the Afghanistan of September 10, 2001, the day before al-Qaeda launched its deadly attack on America, which was plotted from Afghan soil. On September 10, 2001, the Taliban did not fully control the country, was mired in a fight for territory with the Northern Alliance, and was isolated internationally. Today, the Taliban is in full control of Afghanistan, has the resources of a state and a military armed with billions of dollars in U.S. weapons that were left behind, and is sending envoys to countries such as China, Russia, and Iran. https://www.fdd.org/analysis/2023/11/14/go-to-zero-joe-bidens-withdrawal-order-and-the-taliban-takeover-of-afghanistan/
  6. Yikes. Actually, I just recently returned from yet another trip to the US. I was in Los Angeles, and left before the great floods. But, it did rain a few times, and it was fairly cold, this time of year. Not pleasant. After a month there, I have stopped complaining about the heat. Would rather have the AC cranked up, and sleep comfortably at night, than have the heat cranked up trying to stay warm. Also, the place I was staying was always cold. No thanks. I will take the heat. Bring it on.
  7. Read this recently. Does anyone with knowledge of this know if this is true, or accurate? If so, surely electric cars must be made a thing of the past. Hybrids would seem to make alot more sense, or future versions, such as hydrogen, as is suggested here. Here comes the Tesla battery. To produce it you need to excavate: 12 tons. of rock for Lithium 5 tons. of cobalt minerals 3 t. of mineral for nickel 12 tons. the mineral for the copper Need to move 250 tons. of land to obtain: 12 kg of Lithium 13.6 pounds of nickels 22 kg of manganese 6.8 kg of Cobalt 100 Kg of Rams 200 kg of aluminum, steel and plastic. The Caterpillar 994A used to move this earth consumes 1000 litres of diesel in 12 hours. Here is the “zero emissions” car. The biggest scam in history. " Your thoughts? Do you agree, or is this nonsense?
  8. Very rich stuff, indeed. Perhaps this takes the wind out of the sails of many who claim they are just fine, gentle when properly trained, and all the additional dribble we hear from pitbull owners? They are atrocious dogs, and have no place in civilized society. They should be limited to Russia, North Korea, and Yemen!
  9. I think this is unfair. He is closer to #44, after Buchanan. He was a terrible president on a dozen different levels. And let us hope he does not get another chance to destroy the future of the US. Lock him up!
  10. No. He is railing against the deep state, domestic surveillance, and over reach. Not the president. With Putin things are very different. You have a serial killing dictator, who has blackmailed and connived with all of the oligarchs, to become one of the world's richest men. He is likely even more corrupt than most of the Czars of yesteryear. He is a foul despot, desperately clinging to power. Putin killed Navalny, who was a true hero. You could describe Snowden as a hero, but I think that may be a stretch. He did expose countless undercover operatives overseas. I do not have an issue with alot of the filthy US government stuff he exposed, otherwise.
  11. No doubt upgrading the land is smart policy. It is beneficial for the land owners, and also gives the government more of a tax base. Sretta, as usual is grandstanding. By participating in a ceremony like this, it may appear he is doing some actual work, and taking action that is benefiting the masses. He does not appear to be a dummy. Not particularly effective thus far, but when you consider the fact that he is a corporate, big agra, and army puppet, in his defense he is a bit hamstrung.
  12. My understanding from everything I've read about it is that his hands were tied, everything had already been said in motion by the ignoramus, and there wasn't much he could have done. I wonder. The level alof abandonment of those translators was pathetic and shameful.
  13. Perhaps he should have politely said you are wrong, and you need to admit it! You may be my teacher for now, but you are not my master.
  14. A very flawed article especially since Trump negotiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan, in an extremely cowardly and hurried manner, after assuring the Afghan translators that they would be taking care. They were abandoned like pieces of wet cloth, that is what Trump thinks about the Armed Forces. That's how little respect he has for the men and women who fight overseas and those who aid them. The man is dangerously unprepared for a war and he garners no respect from the Armed Forces, nor the top generals.
  15. I feel so bad, I think I need to repent for my multitude of sins. Oh wow look there's a ministry, what a great opportunity. Let me forgo my immediate pleasures and sins, and repent right now. Such guilt. I cannot deal with the guilt I get from all the pleasure! I will burn. Better change my ways.
  16. I used to take that junk and even with small doses I would get massive headaches. These days I only use herbal formulas like Gracku, which is amazing. It works just as well without any side effects, nor liver damage.
  17. Well that is really great news, the people must be listening to the sage advice of the government officials, who are requesting that they burn less incense.
  18. For that most certainly applies to the wealthy, does it apply to the common man too? You think the average person really has that attitude? I see some people cowering when they're around the police here.
  19. I think what you are suggesting is a way to honor the tourists who decide to come to Thailand and spend a lot of money. It's a great idea, but it requires some imagination and initiative.
  20. Roughly the same. A stolen election, with the army as part of the government. A coup. Not much difference.
  21. Deflection is the best tool devotees of the fake master are able to use. He is indefensive, from a standpoint of morality, righteousness, truth, decency, or reality. So, they deflect. It has become a knee jerk instinct.
  22. Even thought the results of the election were ignored, and stolen from the people? Even though we have a proxy, do nothing PM? Even though we still have 250 super toxic, super corrupt, army appointed lapdog senators? Even though the youth are still be imprisoned for a simple protest asking for change and reform? Really? Honestly? Earnestly?
  23. Very tragic. What kind of coward mows down a cop, trying to evade a police stop, then attempts to flee the scene? Who are these people? Who are their parents, and why did they fail so miserably at raising their child? Let us hope this fool is locked up for decades. Perhaps massive fines, and forfeiture of family homes and land would serve as a deterrent for this kind of moral bankruptcy? Tragic for the wife and kids, perhaps. But hey, you married the wrong guy, and your Dad is a lowlife.
  24. 24 all night on the lowest mode. The new Panasonic inverter is whisper quiet and keeps us comfy all night. I use a very light comforter. My woman uses an Arctic comforter. Life is too short to not be comfortable when sleeping. And there are maybe 20 nights a year these days, when the AC is not needed.
  25. When they are locking up courageous young folks for decades, for speaking out about important reform, stealing elections from highly popular figures like Pita, and installing highly toxic and corrupt army appointed proxy senators, they cannot even pretend this is a democracy. It is a "soft power" army autocracy. With no moral authority, whatsoever.
