And there are so many things the authorities could be doing if they cared one iota. With the multitude of Sretta promises and declarations about air quality, absolutely nothing is being done. Nothing's is being done to punish the sugar refiners who are the major culprits, nothing is being done to punish the sugar farmers who are also major culprits. Nothing is being done by the do-nothing administration and Mr. Do Nothing. Sretta.

Have you noticed the disparity between the value of air miles when it comes to upgrading, and the cost of air miles if you were to buy those same miles from the same airline? It's ridiculous, why do air miles have to be a profit center for these airlines? That feels abusive to me.

While I agree it was two decades ago when I stopped smoking I was getting top grade hydroponic from British Columbia, and it is probably on the level of the stuff that is commercially available now. Some buds were one ounce. It was gorgeous stuff, but very powerful and it just got tiring being that out of it.

Probably a good idea to keep the Israeli government out of it, since they've failed at everything related to the Palestinians and Gaza since 1948.

Thai air force to battle surging fine dust pollution crisis
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If the Air Force used their resources to bomb every sugar processing plant in the country, then things might start to change and we might start seeing some cleaner air. Until drastic action is taken to curtail the sugar industry and make these culprits behave, nothing is going to change. -
PM Congratulates Farmers on Receiving Agricultural Land Titles
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
So far this appears to be a highly selective process that is only applicable to a minuscule percentage of the rural and agricultural land in Thailand. Though this is likely to be beneficial to the landowners, my guess is that there is some ulterior motive, perhaps in the form of increasing the tax base, and eventually collecting land tax. -
Thailand has embraced the fact that it's a tourist destination, and it has invited people from all over the world to come and visit. So what on earth do they expect? Is every foreigner expected to behave like a Thai the entire time they're in Thailand? And what on earth is the issue with two women in bikinis in a park? How is that considered controversial on any level? What is wrong with sunbathing, it's not like two people are found having sex out in the public. It is two women in bikinis. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill, talk about fabricating something for the sake of victimhood, talk about a nothing burger. This is so ridiculous it borders on puerile and insanity. Is Thailand the new Saudi Arabia?

The issue with EVA is that the mileage expires far earlier than they should. There's no reason why they shouldn't give you many years for miles that you've earned. Also beware if you're planning on using miles for an upgrade does not apply to the basic fares, which cannot be upgraded, it only applies to the standard fares, which are typically quite a bit higher. Otherwise EVA's a great airline, I use the most of the time.

No I'm not saying that straight men are not any of those, but I am saying that it's widely accepted that gay men are typically better groomed, better dressed, and more stylish than the average straight white man. That's all I'm saying, if you can't handle that it's okay, I understand.

Trump wins Iowa caucuses, cementing frontrunner status in 2024 race
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in World News
Wrong. Just one of his many accomplishments as a senator. As Judiciary Committee chairman, Biden was a leading advocate for massive tough-on-crime legislation such as the 1994 federal crime bill that stiffened sentences, widened application of the death penalty, added police officers to the streets, and provided funding for new prisons. Crime in America had tripled between 1960 and 1990, inflamed by a crack-cocaine epidemic in the 1980s. Working with police groups, Biden wrote the Senate version of the bill, which he used to proudly call the Biden Crime Bill. During 36 years in the Senate, Biden served in leading roles on both the Judiciary Committee and the Foreign Relations Committee. He was chairman or ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee for 17 years. He chaired the confirmation hearings of five justices, the most contentious being the hearings over the nominations of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. -

No doubt unconditional support for Israel, and considerably less support for the Palestinian cause. And I think that pretty much applies across the board to any nation that's populated with people of color. That is just who Trump is. -
Back in the day when I lived in New York if a woman would ask me if I was gay I would consider it to be the greatest compliment possible. I would say no but thank you so much for asking, that's very kind of you too assume that I was gay based on my dress, my clean appearance and other positive factors.

It sounds like mine was a first hand experience and yours was is based on speculation, as I was a smoker for a long time and I smoked some very powerful stuff back in the day. As far as the comparison between ganja and tobacco goes I find that to be a bit unscientific in a sense that the average cigarette smoker who smokes a pack a day probably takes about 400 to 500 drags of cigarettes in one day. The average pot smoker might take three drags, at the outside five or six drags of ganja, so we're not really talking apples and apples. I consider ganja to be infinitely less toxic than tobacco.

Trump wins Iowa caucuses, cementing frontrunner status in 2024 race

I've talked to a few of them and they say he's the lesser of two evils or some other nonsense like I'm not voting for the man I'm voting for the issues, and he represents my issues more than the Democrats. It's a total compromise and it's a "sell your soul to back the issues" kind of deal but nonetheless that's the way they think. And of course the other issue is that the Democrats just made a huge mistake by supporting Biden for a second term, having Harris close to the presidency is a nightmare, she's a nightmare. And Joe is ancient. -

It's gotten to the point where the entire campaign and holding the office itself is so degrading and so difficult, that noble people, quality people and people with a nanogram of integrity would have no interest in going anywhere near that office, and would have no interest in running for that office. Only megalomaniacs seek that kind of position in this day and age. -
In other words since we've already compromised 85% we might as well compromise 100%, and give the army everything they want. Which is a shame because virtually everything Anutin does he fails at, he's a terrible leader and he inspires nobody. However, he does follow orders from the army so I guess he's a good choice for Toxic Thaksin, at this point.

I am the least PC person you're ever going to run into, however I am tolerant and I have no issues at all with gay themes in movies or TV. If I don't want to watch them I just switch to another show. I love the idea of putting that in the face of intolerant and insecure men. I would love to see the look on their faces when two men kiss. So what? It is a big nothing burger.

I used to smoke too, for a few decades and even when I was high on the most powerful stuff, nearly obliterated out of my mind, my reflexes were far sharper than they are after I've had three drinks. I never even came close to getting in a traffic accident, when I drink it's a whole different story. Alcohol is infinitely more dangerous than ganja on a dozen different levels. Not to mention tobacco, as you say both are industries that the government generates huge income from. Hypocrisy? Absolutely, in its worst form and at its ugliest level.

Great post, thanks for that, very good information and some very sound theories, the worst amongst the many aspects that you've discussed is locking people off for recreational use of ganja. That is just one of the most evil and malicious things that any law enforcement agency or government can engage in. Nobody should ever serve jail time for possession of any amount of ganja.
