There was a Costco in Bangkok. I think it was out Rama 2 way, too far away for me and a bad location in my opinion. I don’t know what kind of account you have but in my case my SS gets deposited into my direct deposit account set up for that purpose. I have to go each month to withdraw from the direct deposit account and put the funds in another account. My direct deposit account cannot be accessed online and has no atm card. They want to see my face and passport every month. I assume it is an anti fraud procedure.

Make sure you send them a bank draft not a cashiers check. Painless when I did mine. Took about two weeks for the new passport to arrive.

I live three hundred meters from Khlong Song. I have my opinions about climate change and sea level rising but that is neither here nor there. Here is my personal experience. Go to the Jewelry Trade Center next to the Holiday Inn on Silom. I think the upper floors are better for minerals.

I’ve always found the staff at Pathum Thani Immigration to be friendly and efficient.

I looked into this a few years back. The only reference I could find appeared on ThaiVisa and that was a place near Khon Kaen, nothing near Bangkok.
