If your trip back is like mine you wont be spending pennies you will be spending pounds and lots of them. I was blown away how much California has changed since covid. Hotel and car rental prices doubled at least. $50 for a breakfast for two. Lunch much more, and for a dinner oh boy. Homelessness everywhere, and now litter which I had never seen. At least it was not cold as the UK will be at that time.

You are talking about going out for a quick lunch or something like that. When Thai's eat the food is shared with rice being the common dish. A party of 4 would normally order 4 dishes to be shared. Of course there are one dish meals like Kau Ka Mu or Kau man gai, or even one dish kao gang. But for a real meal the food is shared.
