  1. Generally the hottest part of the day here is 2-430pm.
  2. the small ones are much better than any in the west. Tomatoes other than cherry ones are bad agreed.
  3. Sorry to burst your bubble, but 3BB is owned by AIS..
  4. You need to learn a little more mate. oun. sin·se·mil·la ˌsin-sə-ˈmē-lə -ˈmi- -ˈmē-yə -ˈmēl- : highly potent marijuana from female plants that are specially tended and kept seedless by preventing pollination in order to induce a high resin content. also : a female hemp plant grown to produce sinsemilla.
  5. 5 year Thai license in English and you are good to go. I have used mine the last 3 times home. Going on Thursday and picking up a car from Dollar, no worries.
  6. You mentioned an ambulance turned up. But never the police. Seems to be a lot missing.
  7. Its kind of crazy how I live in your head 24/7. Fact.
  8. It is an old area of Bangkok that is nice and safe with parts running along the river, but I would not call it "quiet" and peaceful.
  9. No you have not, you have not been up to BKK from Pattaya. Keep thinking like that and you will have even more problems here than you have now. Dark psychology, what a crock.
  10. That is lovely Mike, but sadly it does not work that way.
  11. This is not playing out well. Saw this. Since there is no “Commitment Law” in Thailand, involuntary admissions are usually possible by common agreements between psychiatrists and relatives of the patients. Sometimes patients are brought to the hospitals by the police. วารสารสมาคมจิตแพทย์แห่งประเทศไทย :: JOURNAL OF THE ... 12. Read what Benz wrote its clearly written. Or google it. 🤪
  13. We stayed in the Avani, with probably the best infinity pool I have seen. But the overall vibe of the place did not impress me at all. As I said I very much enjoyed Krabi town, the hot springs and the crystal lagoon. Ao Nang simply did not impress at all. Was also disappointed in Raillay which was so overbuilt since the last time there 17 years ago.
  14. Not for about 6 years, but friends have been. Not gourmet by any means. Well prepared Thai food done the old fashioned way.
  15. ...and what do I ignore? Tell me! Once more you show your ignorance....
  16. There was a post 3 hours before this saying he had been found. What a bunch of BS you posted though. What you post of has happened, but not Many/many as you are trying to say.
  17. Its quite amazing you dont know what ignorant means. It means unknowing, or lacking knowledge or awareness in general. Perfect for you..
  18. ...and what do I ignore? Tell me! You can not be that thick.....😂😂😂
  19. For a slice of old time Bangkok go to Suda Restaurant soi 14. Been there for over 40 years, they own the building so costs are kept low. The area around it has been spruced up with some nicer restaurants but Suda's is still the same. Good Thai food at a fair price served by locals. Mostly outside seating but they do have and air conditioned dining area. Its located just about 100 meters into the soi.
  20. I have had the account 34 years so no wont change it. My normal branch can do it easily now so just make my appointment for 10:30 am and all is good. Finally have the documents down so its easy. They were impressed to have had the same account for so long.
  21. Bob we live in different worlds. You have posted here moaning about drunks peeing on your gate, and being loud. Where live I have never experienced that once. So we see things differently to say the least.
  22. Ao Nang did not impress me at all. Just a Thai beach town full of travellers and cheap restaurants that are basically all alike. Hard to find a simple Thai restaurant. If it was Krabi town a solid yes, but Ao nang is run down and simply dirty.
  23. Just a heads up. Did my yearly retirement visa today and it went smooth save for the fact there is no TBB bank downstairs at Immigration Changwattana anymore. They said moved to building A but that is not the case. It is on the road between Buildings A and B and you have to go through a military gate to get to it. Advise to update somewhere else as its not easy. I had a 9:30 appointment but missed it due to having to run around to the bank for passbook update, arrived at document checking at 10:00, documents were in order and had my passport back just before 11:00 which was reentry permit time, that took less than 20 minutes so not a bad day at Immigration.
