New UK Parliament Report: Unveiling the Horrors of 7 October A Truth That Cannot Be Denied
What Hamas did on October 7th was unforgivable and unforgettable. The Pro Palestinian brigade should accept that they are in the wrong and are supporting Hamas genocide against the Israelis. A fact that was part of Hamas campaign during the election. Palestinians voted Hamas in and have been supporting them. During the recent ceasefire, when Hamas failed to deliver their side of the bargain, Hamas were moving troops and weapons nearer Israel's border ready for another invasion.

Safe havens during songkran
I agree. Luckily, here on Samui, it is only one day. Tourists have been trying to extend that into day two but the locals have soon sorted them out.

Shift Entertainment Complexes to Reduce Overtourism: THA
My goodness. One can tell that Khun Thienprasit is not a politician looking for handouts. He is actually making a lot of sense. Sadly, his recommendations will be ignored by the money grabbers.

Sleep is a healer, or is it?
I agree with Sheryl. Try a sleep test. I have COPD and also suffer with sleep apnoea. Sadly, a CPAP machine was of no help as prostate and bladder issues make sure that I still wake up every 2-3 hour for the bathroom trek. Not sure what this covers, but for my breathing issues, I had a full pulmonary function test carried out at Bumrungrad Hospital. The nurse there certainly knew her stuff. It was a major test taking almost half a day. Lung function tests at the local hospital here were pretty much a waste of time. Very basic equipment. You can monitor your oxygen level at home with a finger pulse oximeter. Lots on Lazada.

Bangkok's Walkways Get 1,000km Upgrade for Better Mobility
What is the point when the local government puts lampposts and street sign in the middle of the 'walkways'. Never mind the trees and bushed planted there.

British Jumper’s Tragic Video Fuels Site Closure Demands
Welcome to the 'woke, TikTok, You Tube' world Ed. It is all about 'likes'. ie $$$ Nothing else matters. BTW, base jumping is pretty dumb. Jumpers know and accept the risks, they film it for 'likes'. Sorry, but your brother achieved his aim.

Bangkok Grapples with Alarming Air Pollution Levels
Bad. The government 'struggles' with these levels every year. We all know that they will do nothing about it, just like previous governments. Here on Samui - 86 US AQI⁺ (moderate) Main pollutant: PM2.5 28 µg/m³ This is why I moved from Bangkok to Samui.

PM Paetongtarn Balances Family Time Amidst Farmers' Outcry
No they are not. The culprit is CP Foods. However, CPF will 'pay' their way out of the situation. The PM is just waiting to see how large her envelope is. Nothing else to do but play with the kids until envelope accepted.

British Cannabis Smuggler Caught in Major Thai Airport Bust
Well spotted. It is a definition, not a USA thing, nor Thai. Same same the world over in English. Another site. There are loads. Take your pick. https://differencess.com/difference-between-legalization-and-decriminalization/

Thailand Legalises Alcohol Advertising After House Approval
Banning the advertising of alcohol does nor stop people from becoming alcoholics. Nor will there suddenly become a rush of alcoholics if adverts for alcohol appear. I suspect that everyone in Thailand is aware of alcohol being available 24 hours a day - somewhere. It was just a repressive control to allow for arresting and fining some people. Do people really believe that the millions of signs advertising Singha are really for their mineral water?

Thai Pilots Eye CAAT for Job Assurance Amid Foreign Pilot Woes
I realise that there are lots of Thai pilots available, but my understanding is that many lack experience. If I was lending a plane or three to an airline, I would want the best experienced person available to fly it. Foreign pilots are accepted on International routes so why is it such a big issue on domestic routes? NB Indonesia repatriating Thai pilots during the pandemic does not make it 'common practice worldwide'. A very weak example.

British Cannabis Smuggler Caught in Major Thai Airport Bust
From the link. Decriminalisation is the act of removing any criminal sanctions against a certain drug, including its use or possession under a specified amount. A decriminalised drug is still illegal, but the punishment for it is much less harsh. Your comment re other drugs is very relevant. Starting on the 'lesser' drugs tends to increase the awareness and people then move on to others. Especially youngsters.

British Cannabis Smuggler Caught in Major Thai Airport Bust
It was not legalised. It was decriminalised. One can still be prosecuted for recreational use, or even non-licenced medical use. https://www.turnbridge.com/news-events/latest-articles/decriminalization-vs-legalization/

Safety Barriers Installed on Bhumibol Bridges to Prevent Suicides
30 million baht for some railings that will not stop the suicides - the people will just go elsewhere. And this is just for extending the fence. How much was the first installations? How much is left in the tin for the homeless and destitute in Bangkok?

Belgian MMA Fighter Tackles Indian Gang in Pattaya Brawl
It would seem that they have been in Thailand for quite a while and were already roaming around Pattaya. I totally agree with his not pressing charges and I have done the same when engaged in 'conflict' with local gangs. The last thing that he and his young lady need is a gang seeking revenge.
