Woman Charged for Blocking Parking Space with Traffic Cone in Patong
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Blocked parking is the norm here on Samui. In the end I sold my car - not worth the hassle. No problems parking a bike. -
Complete power outage here in Plai Laem this morning. All three phases out. No idea how long it has been out. No power, no water - just 'cleaned up' in the pool. Quite cold after last night's storm. And it is High Season - every villa is occupied. Phone ringing in 4, 3, 2................

Not a clue where to post this - apologies. But the new Forum layout is absolutely rubbish. I have never read a book, magazine or a newspaper where the index or detail is 'centralised. It just isn't logical. Please stop trying to make things look pretty and let's go back to ease of use and informative. Pretty please.

We have quite a few different snakes here on Samui. Both venomous and non-venomous. Plus pythons of course which can still be deadly. I regularly remove them from villas - regular but not frequent thank goodness. Also monitor lizards, scorpions and centipedes. All which can cause harm. All of this is on a development. Semi-rural? Take care people. Just a question on I thought that it was illegal to kill wildlife in Thailand???

Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Clever timing by the Constitutional Court. Disband the only opposition party and then sack the PM a week later so there is no real opposition during the vote. The vote is already a stitch up - anyone except Anutin pleeese, -
Best pharmacy on Koh Phangan and Koh Samui?
Tropicalevo replied to agg211's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
In my experience, I find the smaller pharmacies in the villages cheaper than the multi chains or the ones in Chaweng. Choengmon and Bangrak for example - the independent pharmacies are quite good. The one that I use is near the entrance to Big Buddha and she always asks if I want original or copy. If Lazada is only 90 baht, maybe buy from them. -
