Immigration Thailand Digital Arrival Card. TDAC
Tropicalevo replied to CharlieH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for clearing that up. A couple of reports that I had read quoted that the form should be filled in 'at least three days before arrival eg https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/3006411/digital-arrival-cards-required-for-visits-to-thailand-from-may-1 -
Immigration Thailand Digital Arrival Card. TDAC
Tropicalevo replied to CharlieH's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Get used to it. These things are already in place in many countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia etc. Not unique to Thailand. PS they did not work for me on recent trips to both Cambodia nor Malaysia. No issues, just processed by a human being as normal. -
I am not an expert at anything but I have 3 chronic illnesses from years ago. Everyone said that if you have a chronic illness and you catch Covid that you are likely to die. Krapp. I had the initial jab plus two boosters. Caught Covid twice and both times it was no worse than a heavy cold. Friends where I live also had the same vaccinations AND caught Covid - very mild. None of us have died - yet. So what is the point of this trolling thread? Another conspiracy theory?

I agree with most of your post, but the justice system is not to blame. That is trying to treat the symptom, not the disease. ie the crime has already been committed. Discipline and morals are first taught in the home, Every day. They should be re-enforced in the education system. No discipline at home allows this.

Thailand Eyes Landmark Peace Deal in Conflict-Ridden Deep South

Muslim terrorists do not give up until they have got what they want. Sorry, peace will not happen. There will only be a lull in the fighting. -
Pheu Thai never had the public support to be the party in power. They stole it from the Move Forward party and have struggled ever since. The only thing that has got them to where they are now is the 10,000 baht 'vote buying' schemes. They have now run out of publlc funds to continue that charade.

High-Tech Safety Operation Enhances Pattaya Songkran Experience
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
In reading the above article, Thailand's version of 'high tech' is a plastic wallet for your phone and an app that I would not trust in a million years. PS not all tourists use apps. Many do, some do not. -
Did we have the best of it ? Is Britain Lost ?
Tropicalevo replied to CharlieH's topic in UK & Europe Topics and Events
Hmm, I seem to have hit a nerve with you. Sorry if I did. To answer your question - Samui has an International airport and many choices of ferries. I have a passport. This means that I can travel - lots. My job allows me to communicate with people daily, mostly face to face. I listen more than I talk (as explained to me by a professional salesman - two ears but one mouth). Then, I also have friends and family that I communicate with. Whilst I have not lived in the UK for more than 32 years, I have been there often, although not since Covid. Friends who visit every year are now saying the same thing. They are not sure if they will go back again for a holiday. Just a quick personal visit or an emergency. My daughter and granddaughter still live there and are happy. My D-I-L and her children still live there but have moved to the countryside. They started to feel 'uncomfortable' in the larger urban areas. -
Woman Mauled by Pit Bull Cross She Adopted From Shelter

The problem for the vets is the paperwork on obtaining the correct drugs. I, and some close friends, have all had dogs. Sadly, there comes a time when it is more humane to let them go. None of us have had a problem with the vet doing this. He even arranges for them to be cremated. The difference is that we have all taken the dogs to the vet for their regular check ups and vaccinations. There is a medical history card for each of them. This, officially recorded history, makes it easy for the vet to obtain the drugs. (I am hoping to sign up with the vet as a dog ) having said that, there may be some vets with strong belief's against euthanising dogs. However, most vets understand that it is better for the poor things when the time comes. Not sure of the rules when it comes to dangerous dogs.
