What Happens If There's a Tie in the US Presidential Election?
Tropicalevo replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Simple. Trump supporters will storm the White House. Trump will state that the democratic votes were fake. Ergo he is automatically the winner. -

Minister Pushes for Bangkok F1 Race Plan with 2024 Deadline
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Another 'money drain'. I believe that it will never happen. F1 tracks have quite strict safety and rules and regulations. Something that is rarely adhered to here in the land of smiles.- 95 replies

Bus Companies Lament Over Suspension of School Field Trips
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Whist this tragedy is devastating, far more people die in accidents from modified trucks, cars or motorbikes. No one is 'suspending' them. No one is inspecting the batteries in e-vehicles and bikes where they spontaneously catch fire. This particular accident has caught the press's attention and therefore also the public. We are all horrified about what has happened. But deep down, we all know that it will happen again, sometime in the future, regardless of what is done now. THAT is also a tragedy. -
Bus Companies Lament Over Suspension of School Field Trips
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Totally agree. Just so that they 'look good'. Who is inspecting the 10s of thousands of buses to deem them road worthy? How long will they be off the road? (Until the who-ha dies down.) -

From idol to outcast: Thaksin devotee switches allegiances
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
So the dinosaur's anti-Thaksin rhetoric has created a news story because one 'nobody' has changed her mind? PR working overtime here. -

Sinking scandal: Pattaya’s new footpaths crumbling already
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
That is not a theory as admitted to me by a construction company manager. Also, building on sand is cheaper. When they tarmacked the roads (instead of plain concrete) the roads started to collapse within six months. Those pot 'canyons' are still there some 10 years later. A far as I know, only one road here on Samui was built on hardcore that was packed down. All of the rest are built sans hardcore. Just compacted earth. -
Julian Assange: "I Pled Guilty to Journalism" in Bid for Freedom
Tropicalevo replied to Social Media's topic in World News
And I thought that it was honesty and integrity. Not being a greedy, little selfish git monetising stolen goods. As for the joke about him being a journalist - not in a million years. He never wrote anything. Just published the said stolen goods. The little tight rrrs even made his lawyer pregnant and married her to save on fees. One of the good guys??? 🤮 🤮 🤮 -
Thai Military to Withdraw from South, Volunteers to Step In by 2027
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What progress? Rangers are being murdered and maimed on a regular basis. Very few insurgents have been arrested. Window dressing for the poster boy? God forbid that he should become PM one day. -
Four Charges Filed Against Driver in Bus Fire That Killed 23
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The whole thing is just very sad. Those poor mites. Making the bus driver the sacrificial lamb will not add anything. It is just a distraction to pretend that something is being done.- 167 replies
