Norse Atlantic Expands Asian Reach with New Bangkok Service
Tropicalevo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Whilst that price is probably a limited opening offer, there should be quite a few takers. -
Foreign Couple’s Haircut Scam at Koh Phangan Salon
Tropicalevo replied to Georgealbert's topic in Koh Samui News
Then do not come to Samui. Local salon in the shopping mall charges 800 baht for a haircut - includes washing and blow dry. I said that I only wanted the haircut - not the rest. Still 800 baht she said. As you say, others charge from 100 to 500 baht. You get what you pay for. Most do not know how to 'cut' men's hair unless it is with the clippers. They can be useless with the scissors. A friend uses the 100 baht haircut and it is obvious. Even he said that the cut is rubbish but now that he is retired, he does not care. -
Couple Realises Gold Necklace is Fake One Year After Purchase
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I am not sure if they have any claim that long after purchase. Someone could have swapped the real one for the fake. -
The White Lotus Effect: Is Luxury Tourism on a Hazardous Course?
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Staying in many luxury hotels, like The Four Seasons on Samui, does very little for the local populace. The guest is picked up in a hotel vehicle (sorry taxis, nothing for you) and then often, the guests do not leave the hotel for their stay. If they should venture out on foot, there is often nothing in the vicinity. Luxury hotels often pick remote locations for that very reason. Local businesses, if there are any, get nothing. -

Hamas Sinks to New Lows with Hostage Body Swap
Tropicalevo replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Hamas knew exactly what they were doing. All part of the belittling of Israelis and showing their Palestinian supporters how clever and powerful the leadership is. -

Really? Rangsiman, chairing the House Committee on National Security, revealed that since the licensing for the system expired, the Bureau has only been capturing facial images and fingerprints, not true biometric data. He warns it could take up to 29 months to reinstate a functioning system, with procurement yet to commence.

And now we know why the wolves are after Big Joke. He was right back then and probably right now. His problem is that if he spills all of the beans, it will not be an empty car that gets shot up next time.

What press freedom? There has never been press freedom here in Thailand. The press and the internet are censored. -

Thailand Seeks Facebook, TikTok Aid Against Online Scams
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Good luck on asking the 'scam and kiddy diddler' enablers for help. They will probably pay lip service to it but not much else. Same as they do with most requests to restrict their services. Clicks mean money. Any click will do, be it good or bad. -
There are a lot of Japanese living in certain areas in Bangkok and I understand that the restaurants cater mainly to them. I have some friends who worked and lived in Japan for many years. They always go to some of the Japanese restaurants in those areas as the food is authentic, unlike the mostly 'fake' Japanese food found in areas outside of Bangkok.

He was elected democratically. It is suicide to change horses mid race when the guy in charge is doing a good job. Any election now would have major outside interference (as shown already by the two dictators - Putin and his poodle). The Ukrainians want him there. Other should butt out with their crass comments.
