  1. I often wonder why a person who invests your money is called a 'Broker'?
  2. I have had two calls from this number 044 004 756. Its a recorded message and when trying to return the call the message, 'number does not exist' is displayed. I have no idea what it is as it is in Thai, and difficult to understand. I have blocked it so hope I get nothing like it again. Scam or genuine I have no idea.
  3. Do try to remember not every one is rolling in money. but then you don't have to think like that no doubt.
  4. Oh, I don't know. It has its good side, although I'm struggling to think of some. It really does have its bad side, how many books do you want?
  5. Which puts me in a more knowledgable position than you, obviously
  6. The horse bolted some time ago, shame the stable door is to be closed in 4 months time.
  7. Does one not know the difference between a Suite and a suit?
  8. The point missing here is the fact Thailand is so much in debt to China, it may never again be an independent country. Yes, it has its advantages in many ways, but don't ever again look for a democratically elected government.

    Cash refused

So could I if they were on my knees????
  10. 800K sat in a bank doesn't give much of a chance to use that money for more profitable purposes, either here or elsewhere. If someone chooses to make use of and pay for a service, I don't see a problem. If its a case of ethics, who's conscience does that sit on?
  11. Writing a review, good or bad on a booking site in my personal experience, is not the right thing to do. I have made a few complaints and given compliments in my time and prefer to make them in person at the highest possible level at the time. Compliments are usually met with gratitude. Complaints well, they are received varyingly from profuse apologies to down right objection. The main thing either way is to be positive and polite. I have had some refunds, and upgrades by taking the person to one side out of earshot and put over the case with truthful facts, and pointing out you are not wanting to cause a scene. If one has to write, again put over the facts and in both cases make no threats. Always put the ball in their court and you will mostly come out on top. Threats should be a very last resort. Just my five pence worth.
  12. I have a box of old medals in the bottom draw of my desk. He can come and take his pick at his own convenience, to add to the useless ones he already has.
  13. Thai Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation. How does the Thai Government Mitigate these Disasters, they make no attempt to Prevent?
  14. With respect, he is not a native English speaker. He is an American by his own admittance. From a personal point of view, reading his post, I get the impression there is a chip on his shoulder. I hope I am wrong, but just how I read it.
  15. My local restaurant and bar has never been closed since it opened 14 years ago. What has been the problem?
  16. As long as the light is not someone coming the other way with a flash light, we should be ok?
  17. Just a suggestion, but would it be worth talking to an agent? They are usually ex IO's and know the ropes. The problem with a marriage visa, is that the interviewing IO does not have the last word.
