It keeps the dullards off the streets and gives them something to do! But don't tell anyone I said so, or there will be crowds on my doorstep baying for blood🫢 -

Why is there so much trash on the grass verges in Hua Hin

It sounds like environmental waste. Or, sod the environment, its only waste -

There will not be a democratically elected government in Thailand in my life time. Perhaps in 2150, but I will be all out of breath by then.🤣

You could try a 7 day course of Trimethoprim from the local pharmacy. It is still possibly available over the counter. Are you a big coffee drinker? That 'could' possibly be a contributing cause.

Its not too bad around where I live, but across the main road there is a cut thru which is used by a number of people. Had occasion to go that way a while back and the rubbish was piled high consisting of old building cast offs to plastic of all kinds and general household waste. This over a stretch of at least 100 yards and 20 or so feet back from the road edge. A short distance further along are what look like well used eateries, but I for one would not consider feeding my dog there. -

In all my travels in Thailand I have seen one, YES ONE, small town where the locals took pride in there surroundings. Can't tell you the name but on the road between Phuwiang and Nong Bua Lamphu. The road was clean, no rubbish to be seen. There were bins outside every house and each one was painted red and white. All the houses and yards were neat and tidy and the whole place looked well cared for. It made such an impression I have never forgotten it. What it is like now I wouldn't know as this was at least 15 years ago. But it just goes to show it can be done. -

Fred Flintstone? Yeah, shame about that but the Romans were much later with leather sandals. Much kinder to the feet!

Electric vehicles have been around for many years, so the technology is not new. Remember the electric milk cart, and they are over thirty years old. Battery tech has improved so much even over the past 2 to 3 years and is still improving. So the EV can only improve. Most peoples worry is centred around the Battery life, understandably. For me personally, I would wait maybe 2 more years and then give it very serious thought. But that is me, I cannot speak for others.

Debit card scam
Surasak replied to Lacessit's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Why does the fraudulent transaction have to be in the same city? About 18 months ago I bought something via Lazada using my debit card. 27000B was taken from my account the same day by Deliveroo in the UK, 6000 miles away. I did get my money returned by the Thai bank but it took a while. -
The air that I breath, but don't tell anyone or some fool will put a charge on it!

I read this somewhere, and find it so true...“Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.”

All heading for the dirt pit? Not me, I'm going to hell in a hand cart😈

If these two women have been given a price for Toll or no Toll, surely the word 'Toll' would indicate a higher cost to the journey. I don't think I am missing anything here?
