  1. Oh dear. I've tried to explain. You are obviously having an off day.
  2. Well. The report is in a BBC documentary that has already been filmed. They must have known about it at time of filming or else it would not have been included in said documentary. I believe it is the BBC you should be questioning.
  3. The article is promoting a BBC documentary. How long does it take to film, narrate, edit and broadcast a documentary? I don't know. However, it is quite clear that Johbson reported the threat some time ago.
  4. You can withdraw what you like, so long as you maintain the required amounts in the bank.
  5. Chong Chom/Osamach is no problem.
  6. Please stop using the word "visa" when you are talking about extension of stay. It makes reading you posts confusing.
  7. You could, maybe should, replace "rich" with "successful" or maybe just not say it at all. The Persian in particular. Came to UK with nothing. Built businesses and made money. A clever man. Not so good at tax returns though. ????????
  8. This is the pick of the posts so far today. If this occurance creates enough stimuli in you to use the word "enjoy" I sympathise.
  9. Having read the whole topic I have to agree. The OP did not mention children. However, someone else asked the question. On topics like this, where the OP clearly lacks knowledge with regards to immigration rules, I think it is a good idea to ask further questions of the OP in order to possibly throw additional options into the mix.
  10. Politics. Makes you laugh. A minister makes a video, a speech or takes part in an interview. Opposition ministers trawl through said video/speech/ interview for things that could be inaccurate, things they disagree with or things they think they can make an issue of. If there is nothing meeting those agendas, they look for something else. Can't find anything to have a go at so grass about not wearing a seat belt. Just like kids in the playground.
  11. You still don't explain how you know they are immigrants. Language depicts heritage. Maybe a history of living in other countries or being a mixed race child. Not nationality or immigration status.
  12. You say "see dozens". How do you know these people are immigrants just by looking at them?
  13. Brine for an hour or two before smoking Problem solved.
  14. Not to mention India. I travelled to the "quiet" town of Kochi, Karela. 10 times worse than London.
  15. The decision to offer IHS refunds to those working in health care springs to mind.
  16. I would think any changes to procedures for those seeking to stay legally would be in favour of the applicant.
  17. @Elkski Did you not brine the meat first? Even a short brine, an hour or so, makes the smoking process so much better.
  18. He has a reputation. There us no doubt about that. However, it seems some people use that reputation to make up their minds that everything he does, says or thinks is bad. He certainly backs British farmers and has become a bit of a flag bearer for them. Sadly, he is Marmite and the haters appear to have won, in this case.
  19. If naked, he's hired the wrong kind of "agent".????????
  20. Thanks. However, I'm struggling to see the benefits of applying early.
  21. Interesting. My wife arrived in UK in Novrmber 2019 on a visitor visa. We applied and received a settlement visa in country due to the Covid19 pandemic and travel restrictions. Leave to remain ends March so applying for FLR in February. On countback as it stands she will have been in UK 10 months longer than she has had leave to remain. I'm guessing this next application will be added as 2.5 years on from her current expiry date. Thus, she will have leave to remain upto September 2025 but will have been in UK 5 years by November 2024.
  22. Yep. He does. However, the 3 I pointed out don't require wife present. Information that may be useful to some posters. That's what forums are sll about.
