  1. New policies, conversations, deals, movement on previous deals. All things I've been suggesting could be happening now and in the future. Creating better situations for many both in UK and EU. All comments mentioning such have been debunked by you a myriad of times. Now, as your preferred political party mention it, it's all possible. It's an incredible uturn for you. Nice though that you can see the sunny uplands ahead. Well done for finally realising the Brexit process is ongoing and by no means over and, hence, not a failure. I commend you for clearing the mist in your mind and joining forces to help the cause. Well done.
  2. Oh, really? And there was me thinking you'd said Brexit had failed. It's over. Nothing we can do. We are all doomed. Now we hear there is the possibility of some new policies that will make things better, whilst still adhering to Brexit and remaining out of EU. That's weird.
  3. As with students today. The majority are OK. There are no mass stabbings. Thailand is not a failed society. There is a report about a couple of students who have gone off the rails and people assume all hell has broken loose and its doom and gloom. As a side note, it would have been good to see a fight between Bodie and Doyle v Regan and Carter. What a cracker
  4. On the other hand, it could be their peers didn't give them any reason to test their self control. Therefore, 6 million students in harmony.
  5. We hear about them, I agree. However, it is a minority and most Thai students are OK. As for shooting. I wouldn't say "regularly". For every report of a drinking session gone wrong there are likely a million that went by without incident. As usual, people read a report in the media and suddenly every one is tarred with the same brush.
  6. Believe it or not, most Thai schools do have their own version of prefects. There is a head student and a student committee. Part of their role is student safety.
  7. We called it a playground in junior school. It was the school yard in senior school.
  8. We had prefects, yes. Didn't command much authority though. Didn't have 6th form at our senior school. Only up to 4th. Lower 6th and 6th was at college at a different site. I like your use of the word "playground" at senior schools. ????????????
  9. We had teachers and "dinner ladies" around in junior school. Not in senior school.
  10. We never had teacher patrols when I was in grade 7, 8, 9 or 10 in UK. 11 and 12 is sixth form. No teacher patrols there either.
  11. Not as yet. Maybe not doing well in some areas. However, to say it has "failed" is impossible. You claimed to be well educated. How can you possibly think Brexit has failed when it hasn't finished? Strange theory.
  12. It could be said you are getting there. Seeing as your new, best buddy is Nigel Farage.
  13. Those with better education can think critically. Learn how to digest information from many sources, not just the ones they agree with politically.

  15. I was using the terminology used. Obviously the category will be explained as "open to athletes...... ........" referring to other categories.
  16. I didn't say you could. Jeez, I wish people would keep up before posting inane comments
  17. Oh dear. I'll say it again. Transgender women can compete in open categories. They have had medical treatment and transitioned. A transvestite is a man who has no interest in being a women but will sometimes dress as one. Examples, Grayson Perry and Eddie Izzard. They would not be permitted to enter into the open category. However they are dressed.
  18. Transgender women can compete in an open category. Transvestites would not be able to.
  19. You clearly have no knowledge of the subject a hand. That subject being transgender. Not transvestite.
  20. Neither do I. Just having a conversation on an open forum. The point is not about sport being "open" to everyone. It's about different people's perception of "fairness". The old saying " you can please some people some of the time.............." springs to mind.
  21. I think you've missed my point. Firstly, I did say this will not only effect cycling. Secondly, your final paragraph mentions " keeping pace" with changes. That is my point. I can see the need for more changes as transgender groups splinter into more specific groups. Similar in a way to Para sport. More and more categories being created as people complain of unfair advantages in their current catagory.
  22. Will one "open category" be enough? I can see, further down the line, people complaining. Maybe women who have transitioned to men wanting their own category. Those transitioning not wanting to compete with those totally transitioned. Not only cycling but many sports.
