No. Not since Brexit. The cost of living crisis has been going since the end of Covid crisis and the Russian invasion of UK. Nice try though. There are many jobs in hospitals that require minimal " on the job training" such as; porters, HCAs, patient transport drivers, cooks, kitchen staff and domestics. Warehouses, Amazon and Lidl are always advertising. Factories, just ask Chomper. He keeps saying food processing is badly understaffed.

Do you really believe the only jobs out there are picking fruit? Oh dear. How many of the unemployed live in the vicinity of a supermarket, factory, warehouse or hospital? Just 4 examples of where jobs are available.

I know many many EU workers who dodon'work in a seasonal job, have been in UK for many years, paid tax and therefore did not meet with the bureaucracy you speak of. Let's face it, compared to many EU countries, salaries and working conditions are far superior in UK. Why would prople leave if they didn't have to? As asked of me by colleagues from Romania.

That's a good point. I have been told by many colleagues, mainly Polish and Romanian, it was not that difficult to stay after Brexit so long as documents were in order. Such documents included tax and NI payment history. It seems many workers left not because they wanted to but because they had to.

They might have thought it would encourage the unemployed to get off their backsides and do some work instead of scrounging benefits.

It is strange that one posters suggests a "vast increase" in legal migration whilst, at the same time, you speak of people leaving and only high end migrants being sought.

How strange. Other posters have been banging on about how Brexit caused so many migrants to leave and cause mass shortages of workers. Now you say migration has vastly increased. There have been lots of other reasons why illegal migration has increased. Namely the boom in people trafficing as a business. It's happened in EU countries too. It can,t be blamed on Brexit.
