  1. Going out for a ride tomorrow afternoon with a new addition on the back. Nudge nudge wink wink. wub.png

    post-52293-0-39623000-1357387739_thumb.j

Setting off from BP Racing at 1pm ish everyone welcome. Something tells me that 15 people won't be there tomorrow cheesy.gif

Keep those good times rolling thumbsup.gif

Is that the Stig's Thai sister? rolleyes.gif

  2. Come on guys, show some respect for the man who has been beaten up by these red thugs. Stop trying to justify criminal behavior.

Same as what happened in Bangkok during 2010. Millions of people's lives had been terrorized by the thugs. Still there are people on these forums who don't give a dam and keep on protecting these criminals.

    Shame on you.

  3. I like that what the last government did. How about what bigT did to get his buddy Hun Sin to do to cause nothing but trouble for Mark over this bare piece of land. Very interesting that as soon as Yingruck elected most all activities around this temple came to an end and nothing but agreement, on both sides, Big T will sale out Thailand on this deal.

    and do so overtly...

Thaksin, the OP's Thai Foreign Minister and Thaksin cousin Surapong, Hun Sen

    610x-2.jpg

still, looked like abhisit tried to be his mate at least.

trouble is when you're well know to be in bed (with the well opposed and hostile to the issue) PAD leaders and do things like invite them to your home to discuss the preah veah and land dispute issue, it might just cause some hostility and sour relations.

but of course we all know, like everything else, it's all thaksins fault........ coffee1.gif

interestingly, i do recall posters slating thaksin for his 'friendly looking photos' with hun sen.

The pictures show very different situations. Thaksin and Surapong met Hun Sen for personal gains. AV met Hun Sen for diplomatic reasons.

(I like how excited the girl in the back gets when she sees 2 of Asia's largest violators of human rights shake hands)

  4. the yellow brigade is at it again.

one claims that having a sister as PM makes calling someone a political exile as idiotic. another wants a child's description of the differences between the two terms, and a third spouts more sibling nonsense, while another just whips out the dictionary as if that proves something.

thaksin is a political exile. he is a fugitive only if you buy into the legitimacy of a non-elected coup-based government and the court system created by it.

which apparently many in this forum do buy into. oh, and the oft, almost sole, news source does too

Or let's keep it simple and call Thaksin a coward. Everybody who barks from a distance is a coward.

He is a criminal who has been on the run for over 6 years. Keep it simple dude.

  5. Premier Yingluck gave some hints of a possible about-turn on Tuesday when she told reporters that if 24 million voters could be found to vote in favour of a total rewrite of the charter, "We will revert to amending the Constitution article by article."

    Whats the point then?

Why not ask the Democratic Party and the PAD. They are the ones responsible for forcing this issue with their call for the 3rd reading to be stopped by invoking Article 68.

Really I thought its was the CC that indicated this was the legal method for a complete constitutional rewrite. But I dont remember them saying that if you dont get a favourable result then its ok to ignore the Thais voters and amend it against their mandate.

But I guess your right, How dare the opposition engage in their democratic right to ensure the government act in a legal and moral manner in such a profoundly important matter.

As Thida said, if we don't get 50% of the votes, people might think that the 2007 constitution is acceptable.

The 2007 constitution was approved by 26 million out of 43 million (or so) eligible voters.

So let’s move on working for the country. There are still enough problems in this country that can very well be solved using the 2007 constitution.

  6. public debt 43.9 per cent –

I would like to believe it, but someone needs to read the fine print on this one. I has to have increased more than this, unless of course the rice pledge is "off" the balance sheet.

All long as the rice hasn't been sold, nobody's knows what it is worth (PT logic). I bet you that they have not taken the potential loss of 150 BILLION/year into account. That is the reason they are not selling.

  7. Yes, with the usual red-shirt slogans thrown in.

He says he noticed a contingent of red-shirts on the stage at Bonanza (was he there?) attempting to drum up support in the south. I think they may well be out-intimidated there.

Yes, just like calgarill, always in every place in Thailand, every hour, every minute, always has instant access to everybody / everything every minute of every day,

    What bullshXt!

Cargarill trfied the same thing, eventually painted himself / herself into the 'no credibility in any direction' corner.

    Here we go again.

Never being able to Post, without referring to the Coup,is another dead giveaway!

why not mention the coup. that was key to the conflicts which followed.

as for always mentioning - some posters cant go 2 posts without blming thaksin for all the evil in thailand

Then you should go 1 step back. Why was there a coup in the first place.. Correct, to stop the most corrupt politician in Thai history from doing more damage to Thailand.

  8. So in short :

If we don't get approval from the Thai people, we will ignore and do it anyway. How they dare it still call a people's charter.

Well just announced on bbc world 64% voted in Egypt for charter change.

    Expect similar here IMO.

No wonder suthep's jumping up and down

In Egypt, 63.8 per cent of those who cast ballots voted for the new constitution, while 36.2 per cent voted against it.

Turnout was 32.9% of Egypt's total of 52 million voters.

You are correct MrSlatersParrot, I also expect similar here. But I don't see why it would make Suthep jump up and down. Please explain.

  9. Former PM Thaksin Shinawatra's legal adviser Noppadol Pattama, who chaired the meeting with the panel, said Pheu Thai was clear about holding a referendum in order to push for the writing of a new charter. He said the party would not focus on amending certain articles, because it would only confuse people.

Why do they say former? As far as I know Noppadol is Thaksin's long time right-hand man, spokesperson and lawyer. And this man is chairing a meeting on charter amendments.

    Have a nice weekend everybody!

Former PM, not former legal adviser.

Thx. Guess I need another coffee. Too early.

  11. Yes, it does look like they are going for broke. That's Thaksin's modus operandi to a tee.

So now 'reconciliation' is a gun to the head.

As I've said before, the country is being taken down the Zimbabwe route to one party rule.

Talkin about "reconciliation". Jatuporn makes an interesting comment.

Key Red Shirt leader Jatuporn Prompan on Thursday told reporters at the court that the group would "fight the case to the end".

"But people of every political group should be granted an amnesty," he said.

  12. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/world/2011-01/20/c_13700035.htm

"Tharit said Manop took part in the seizure of a large number of weapons from soldiers during the clash at the Khok Wua intersection on Ratchadamnoen avenue on April 10 last year. The weapons were later shown on the "red-shirt" stage and then distributed to other "red-shirt" guards for use against soldiers"

And now Tharit is going after AV because he gave the soldiers the right to use the weapons (they were carrying) blink.png

So how trigger happy can soldiers be who let Red Shirts take their weapons away??

  13. Did he?

He was in charge! Therefore he did!

When someone contracts a contract killer he is as guilty as to one who pulled the trigger!

Not when it's done within the law.

Within the law? So how comes that those who were shot in the head had no weapons? To kill unarmed people is acceptable and within the law? To kill nurses and children is within the law? To kill unarmed taxy drivers is within the law?

The Reds created a war zone. They killed more than 15 officials. In war zones nasty things happen. Better to stay away from those areas.

  14. did the police forces not fight with red shirts at all in 2010?

    No. They didn't.

    Sent from my HTC phone.

Well, they did.. a little. Just for the show. Then they vanished and left the Reds to do whatever they wanted such as Installing checkpoints at strategic locations around their site. Most check points where managed by a bunch of drunk Reds. It was a city without police. It was like a movie scene.
