I love it when people know something but not fully know the story, the truth is there is not FZ-09... The only thing Yamaha has introduced is a MT-09 sportsbike. Which is partly build in Thailand....
On my website you soon can find a full review of this motorcycle as we visited the new Yamaha factory in Thailand. The Yamaha MT-09 is the first motorcycle which involves Thailand in the export to the European Union. No plans from Yamaha to currently release this motorcycle on the Thai market as only 11,000 units are build.
Richard, have a look at post #2 on this thread which states exactly what you've just said and shows the same photo.
And if you're so knowledgeable, why not share your smarts about this bike with the folks in here who are keen to know instead of plugging your own site.
Richard has his own web site!
Where?

Yeah I agree about F1 soihok
But I meant GP at Assen & WSB at Imola
Well actually I see GP/Assen is the 29th & WSB/Imola the 30th so should be ok
I was watching F1 for a few years as I loved the technology & the sound of course.
But quite boring overall as two trains cannot pass on the same set of tracks most of the time.- 1

actually a full system is what i need. but can get the pipe now and header later.
because power commander is released for cbr500r:clap2:
around 350 usd and this time it has an O2 eliminator means better tuning without strangling to ecu.
I was going to get that one for my bike as they are widely available even here
but the head of Area P offered to work remotely with me on various maps as they run a 300 there &
he wanted to see what the 250 can do. So I went that route.
Also seems he is very popular with ninja 300 guys. They are pulling just under 40hp now
with pipe/filter I guess they work jointly with
Fuel Moto & develop maps that are supposedly more individually tapered.
Will see I guess

Was today aswell at the Promenada, noticed a few things, no English signs at the foodcourt,
I noticed that too & thought it might make it tough for many.
I can read but it takes awhile
I did eat at the place furthest? in on the right.
They have a good steak in pork, chicken or fish...maybe beef too? but they have a pepper sauce on it.Very Tasty
It is served with fries a nice salad & a small side of sauteed carrots & cherry tomatoes.
I had the pork it was 89 baht & dang good + filling portion wise.
Prepared like a chef in a restaurant more than a food court so takes a lil while, maybe 10 minutes.
This place had sample plates of what they sell on the counter & they sell some interesting plates.
Spaghetti with carbonara sauce or white clam I think? Also pork chops, burgers a few things actually
Also have about 10 or more dressings available.
Quite good & I was pleasantly surprised.

Bummer I was getting so use to watching WSB one weekend & GP the next.
Seems this is a dead weekend
Then next weekend they bump heads with each other

Just out of curiosity, did anyone ever explain why this new cheese was "healthy"?
With all due respect, was it "healthy" because it was "cheap"?
Low fat was the reason
But Low fat makes a bad melting cheese as it tends to foam rather than melt
Of course less fat always equals less taste
Folks use to say,
If you want to know what no fat taste like bite a piece of cardboard

These are off your 600?

Mania, my wife works in phayao and I go there very very often. What are you doing there? We should meet up sometimes for a cup of coffee or something.
Sure I will try to remember to pm you next time I plan to go & see if your up for coffee.
I do not go often as it is a 300+km round trip but I go because it is a nice
piece of road with a more open twisty section. That mountain right before Phayao
with the lookout point stop at the top is fun on both the up & down section.
Sometimes I do not go all the way into Phayao but turn at the bottom of that hill on the Phayao
side as the rest of the ride in is pretty flat/straight.Good for a bigger bike.
But that waterside by the lake is nice to visit too.
Sure I will try to remember to pm you next time I plan to go & see if your up for coffee.

I had a lot sent ems via ebay. Also friends and family brought stuff here.
Seems like the best idea.
I dont know about customs but have always read USPS priority tends not to get hit.
Will find out soon as I have a few things coming soon via USPS

mania, i am sure yamaha will bring fz - 09 to thailand for a close price if you can wait.
a rubber mounted 230 kg bike is not ideal for the tight twisties up North. i mean yes you can but i am sure you miss your ninja 250 back:lol:
and to make it 30 kg lighter, you reach the price of z1000 nearly. lighter rims, pipe, rearset, handlebar, shipping them over here and many more. you do the math.
Actually I am not a shopper for either of these bikes.
But I do enjoy watching what comes out & the spec etc.
-
It was more like 40lbs- those Wiki wet-weight numbers (if that's what you referenced) are off- it's also within about 25lbs of an R1.
And that 900RR was an incredibly twitchy machine (I owned a 1st gen with the 16" front hoop- it never felt very stable, though it turned in like lightning).
No I owned both the 900 & the 600 that years so am going by memory only
I will say the 600 was a couple pounds heavier due to the steel frame
But I remember both as being 450-460 range stock
Lighter later once modded a bit
-
It wasn't that long ago that 500lbs was the benchmark- it's easy to hustle a bike that size through the twisties, and it will have stability that a lot of lighter sportbikes lack.
That must have been very long ago as even my 14 year old 900RR was 60 pounds lighter fully faired from the factory
& that was stock
This is supposedly a naked style bike & surely advances have been made.
As for twisties I guess it will depend on how tight
Flickable is flickable & when weight & width gets up there I do not find clamoring from one side
of the seat to the other gets easier when it gets wider & heavier.
I am not saying it is a total moose or anything but weight does matter & distribution & height of that weight even more so for me.
Stability should not be an issue on anything 250 size & up if the tires & suspension are sorted.
All just my opinio/prefs of course & everyone rides differently.
I will look forward to seeing this one though as it is a 4cyl & price should be not extreme

Thanks wprime!

Hi,
I am having a problem with this.
Can someone summarize when each is used?
I know when I am saying no it is just ไม่
but when asking a question do you end with ไหม่ or ไม่ ?
Like ชอบน้ำส้มไม่ครับ or is it ไหม่ครับ ?
How about chai-mai?
would it be ใช่ไม่ or ใช่ไหม่ ?
Thanks for any tips

95% of my tools are craftsman as the stuff here is sh&t
Yeah Craftsman is fine stuff & I had a lot of it in the US
How are you getting it here?
-
On the subject of tools...are most of you buying at a certain place?
Because the small selection I have really suck & Home Pro is not much better.
If I do stay permanently I would want to build up a set.
All this China stuff is so soft & sloppy
-
Hard not to buy that at 430,000baht (my price estimate)
Undecided
I know it is 90 lbs more than the Yamaha & in this pic it does look it.
It just seems pretty thick & bulky. Could just be the pic
Will have to see it in the flesh when it arrives.
Yesterday I was picking up some bolts at Kawasaki & they said a couple months.
-
Is it actually attached to the frame? Hard to see but looks like only the engine.
heheh I think your right.
I did not even look at it that well just saw it today on FB feed.
Edit: Wait I think I do see a frame tab hanging down behind top bolt

Marc Marquez, in his first time at Aragon on the MotoGP machine,
completed 71 laps only aboard his 2013 machine and recorded a
quicker time than the pole record set by Casey Stoner in 2011 (1'48.451)
with a lap of 1'48.434. He and his team will stay for an extra day
tomorrow to test some more items on his current bike and also the 2014 prototype.
The kid is fast no doubt about that

Honestly I just noticed here in chiang rai an unbelievable increase of big bikes on the roads, anything from Harleys, Cbr 600, Ninjas, Superfours, CB500f, x even seen Hayabusa GSX1300RZ parked at central few days ago, my god that bike is massive.
Chiang Rai is a popular ride destination for riders from Chiang Mai too.
I know many clubs here do regular rides to Chiang Rai.
I tend to turn off part way & go to Phayao but I see many bikes at the
PTT small shopping area just past Wiang Pa Pao

Have you triedStill looking for where to find in Chiang Mai, an 8 inch inexpensive electric skillet with a glass cover.
Big C or Makro

Big Black Snake on ChangKlan :)
in Chiang Mai
Posted
Tonight after picking my wife up at work & heading to dinner about 8pm on the
motorbike. Passed under the bridge at the end of Changklan where you come in off the highway
Suddenly my wife's right ankle is up almost to my shoulder & she is screaming.
Next thing I know there is red flashing lights behind me. I am asking What ! What!
Suddenly a cop on a bike with the flashing lights zooms alongside me & yells in
Lanna words...."What kind of snake was that!" at my wife.
She yells back she does not know but it scared the hell out of her
I cannot believe I did not see it but that is a crazy section of road where you
blend into that fork that allows other to get to the highway going in the Lampun direction
so I am watching cars from a few angles.
According to her it took up one whole lane & was also partially in ours & moving towards my
right side when the car in front of us ran over its body a foot or so behind its head.
She also claims it was as big around as my forearm
Never a dull moment
But when it was all happening it was total confusion with my wife's leg flying up
rocking the bike suddenly. Then the red flashing lights & a cop pulling alongside yelling words I did not recognize
heheheh
Asked my wife why didn't you yell snake or point or something? She said are you kidding I was too scared
