This is a tough one because A) Thai drivers are selfish & careless not to mention often drunk & driving without a license So first off jail these guys period on event. Not listen to one word about brakes failed yada yada yada B) Of course it could be controlled by police presence & large fines but...Thai Police are as corrupt and we all know how this ends. There is a reason they are not allowed to pull along side a car & pull it over. Even the govt knows this. This is why you even see folks speed past a Thai cop car. You would never see that in a western country So for now all that can be done is better training/education & stricter punishment if caught or causing a accident due to negligence/alcohol etc etc In the meantime start jailing bad cops...not transfer...jail Eventually have a police force that is there to serve & protect the public.

Banks take customers deposits & loan 9x that to mortgages etc (fractional reserve banking system) So the higher interest they generate on that alone should cover any & all bank costs considering the comparatively pittance in savings interest they give depositors for the use of their money to make those loans & generate bank income. When one considers it was written by man (fallible) It was translated by man (decided what words best fit in their minds translation) Then men "later" decided some things should be removed & some things inserted (The height of it) Consider one simple example Anyone who has looked at religious texts knows the value of "I Am" The bible states Jesus said...""I am the way and the truth and the life" Everyone assumed he meant himself....what if instead he meant "I Am" That is something that could have been pooched in translation I'm not daring to claim this is what it is I am just point out a single possible flaw in thousands of translated possibly flawed parts This is not helped by the fact the majority of bible readers read the story as literal text when it suits them

Well there are many ways including the way many South American countries ended drug cartel puppet regime governments but that aside.... That phone also has wifi calling. Meaning when in the USA you can connect to wifi & use your Chiang Mai/Thailand sim & it will be as if your in Thailand. Even for banking etc As for US cell service AT&T has a month to month no contract unlimited talk & text plan for $26 a month if you give credit card number for auto billing. Which you can turn off easily online when you leave & billing/plan stops. So if AT&T works in your area of visit that is a possibility Internet wise you will have to shop around your area

Tracking down the hit & run driver (if there was one ) is no guarantee of payment...My wife was kht by a Lor Deng driver he basically in the end said I have this much baht period.. Add to that the many uninsured drivers in Thailand or even unlicensed...There are NO guarantees in Thailand & you are 100% in a get it your dang self service country. So remember get it your dang self before you need it ???? Anyone without adequate self or bought insurance living in Thailand is just a ticking time bomb
